Chapter 7 Seven

On the other side of the world, in another pack entirely, an alpha was sorting his way through his pack issues, trying to find happiness."Did you dream again?" His beta asked, seeing the look on his face. Sam only has that look on when he's had his recurring dreams.It was about a girl. Fragile, but beautiful. Her name was Isabella,but Sam didn't know at that moment.Alpha sam, the alpha of the Eclipse pack was twenty five years old. He was sitting gently on a couch in his sitting room with his mind faraway.Alpha Sam was known to be the kindest creature on earth, he was meek, clever and gentle.

His perfect smile and handsome face can melt away anybody's pain. He was simply perfect to everybody around him, in his pack and even beyond."Long live the alpha of the Eclipse Pack." Beta Greg, Alpha Sam's best friend greeted mockingly."Oh Greg! You always come by with a new style. What are your plans for the day?" Alpha Sam asked, being glad to have him around."Sam, why don't you leave me and my plans alone right now and let's talk about you, your present and your future.""My future is bright, I can see that." Alpha Sam stated."With Xoxo as your Luna." Beta Greg completed alpha Sam's statement laughingly.Alpha Sam frowned, "You must be out of your mind, Greg.""Nope." Beta Greg replied, laying emphasis on the 'p'. "I was helping a friend to complete his sentence with what's on his mind.""How is your assumedly completion matched with what was on my mind??""Because I know what you're thinking.""And since when do you started reading mind?" Alpha Sam asked."Since now."Alpha Sam sighed in defeat, Beta Greg always win in any words battle between them, so he had no reason for wanting to win."Sam." Beta Greg called, adjusting perfectly on his seat, facing alpha Sam properly. "What were you thinking?? After all what happened, I don't think you should be thinking, but I met you doing so. Did you even noticed that I called your name for like five times before dropping the fake salutations which got your attention?" Beta Greg said.Alpha Sam sighed, he wasn't feeling too well and he couldn't get over the fact that he made a terrific mistake in his life which cannot be rectify."I don't notice but let's forget about that for now Greg and talk about other more important things.""What other things can be more important than this Sam? I'm telling you to forget about your past and focus on your present and future.""That's where you're getting it all wrong Greg. I can't seems to get over the wrongs I did, I can't...""Then you have to. You had a choice back then but you misused your opportunity." Greg stood up from his seat, pacing around the sitting room, "I told you Sam. I told and warned you but you did what you wanted and chose who you wanted. I told you to give yourself a little more time to think and see things through but you never listened. Okay fine, maybe I didn't know how you were feeling, you should have at least considered my advice but no, you didn't!" Greg exhaled and inhaled repeatedly to keep his nerves in check."I thought you're on my side, I thought you're going to say things that'll keep me calm and encouraged but you're putting the blames on me." Alpha Sam said, his temper rising in anger.Greg bursted into laughter, he laughed heavily, "Now, you are playing victim?" He continued laughing, "Gosh! That's the least I expected from you. Like what the hell?" Beta Greg exclaimed.Alpha Sam sighed, of course he knew what he was doing and he knew he was at fault to some extend but he can't help but to think of trying to think otherwise. "If I tell you that I don't understand what you're saying, will you believe me?""I won't. I will never believe that. I have known you for years Sam. What is the new attitude you want to bring out that I don't know of??"Alpha Sam sighed again in defeat. "Fine, you got me.""Sam, you are not you. You haven't been yourself since like eighteen months ago but come on Sam. I still found it difficult to understand you.""I'm like an opened book you read, you used to say, then read me now and understand my feeling." Alpha Sam didn't know how to express his feelings at that time, he just wanted someone that'll understand him without him explaining."You were like an opened book I can read but not any more. Right now, you're like an opened book which I can read without understanding what I read.""What then??""You were into Isabella like no other before then boom! Xoxo showed up.""She had to. She's my childhood wife, she was betrothed to me and she had been keeping herself for only me?" Alpha Sam said unsure."That's what I hate most and I lost a friend and had even forgotten how my friend behaviour is like. And did I heard you saying 'She kept herself for only you?" Greg laughed."You and I knew that you're joking and mistaken, maybe you wanted to say Isabella and not Xoxo.""Oh! My bad for not pronouncing properly." Alpha Sam stated ironically."Whatever." Greg then continued his speech while sitting back down, "The least I expected from you was you, chasing Isabella away in a shameless and senseless way. How dare you? I choose Isabella over Xoxo for a hundred and one times.""You don't know Xoxo, she's...""I don't want to hear it. Please keep her fake life to yourself.""She's smart and beautiful." Alpha Sam completed his statement, not minding Beta Greg and his outburst."I thought I said to keep it to yourself! Moreover, Isabella is smarter and more beautiful.""Then marry and have Isabella to yourself!" Alpha Sam yelled frustratedly.Silence enveloped the place immediately Alpha Sam dropped the sentence."I'm sorry, I don't mean it that way." Alpha Sam apologized, immediately realizing the weight of his words."What have Xoxo done to you?? You even yelled at me. I, Greg?""I said I'm sorry." Alpha Greg said."You're not Sam. If you're sorry, I will know but just so you know, I will never encourage your marriage with Xoxo, never!"Beta Greg stood up and left the place, he met Xoxo on the way."Hi Greg." She greeted."Let this be the last time I'll be hearing my name from your shitty mouth. You're too worthless to pronounce my name." He walked, away immediately without looking back, giving her no room to talk back at him.
