Chapter 7 Suzan and Angie

"Come in." Angie told Liz, who was on the door knocking.

The study was very quiet that morning and the only sound that could be heard from the vicinity was of the birds.

The whole room had no lights switched on and one of its windows was open to let in some fresh air.

It wasn't so dark inside but the room looked somewhat cloudy. The curtains were still hanging low except for the one on the open window.

Angie remained seated on her chair, observing Liz with a sheer smile on her lips, her handbag was at the corner of the table and her phone was next to it.

The phone rang quite a few times but Angie ignored all the calls, returning her gaze on Liz, the prey of her trap.

"So tell me." Angie began the conversation looking directly into Liz's eyes, at this point Liz was already panicking because her instincts had warned her of something offal that was about to happen but she couldn't even move or turn her back around.

"So.... What exactly did you tell Suzan?"

The question struck Liz like a blow, she froze for a while as her heart raced and her mind tried to replay back on the whole conversation she had had with Suzan the previous day.

"Didn't I ask Suzan to only speak with Angie in a more reasonable way?" Liz asked herself silently, her heart was pounding hard but it wasn't helping at all.

Angie just wanted an answer and she was determined to make Liz speak because that was the only way to get to her goal.

So she kept her eyes fixed on Liz and crossed her arms, waiting for an answer. The more she looked at Liz standing there with no words to say, the more she loved the moment, even letting out a small laugh within herself.

"Today, I will deal with you." Angie bragged in her mind and kept observing Liz.

"Won't you speak up?" Angie asked in a daring tone but Liz was still contemplating on what answer to give back to Angie.

"Why did Suzan do this? I have never hurt her."

"I only wanted help for my school fees and Baron's." Liz answered Angie knowing very well that everything was surely messed up and her talk with Suzan had cost her a lot.

"Why didn't I see through her facade?" Liz kept wondering why Suzan would turn up on her and instead steer Suzan against her.

"Oh.... Then why did you bring Douglas up?"

It was at this moment that Liz understood what Suzan had done.

She had instead forwarded all messages to Angie and Liz was now the fool.

"I just told her that it was a rumor." Liz defended herself and went on to calculate her chances of redemption fearing for the worst but Angie had another plan on her mind which she was slowly exposing.

Angie got up from her chair and circled Liz a number of times, making her feel more nervous and tense each round that she got circled.

"Who do you think owns this house?" Angie asked Liz purposefully, she had found just the perfect reason to do as she pleased with the girl again.

Liz, shaking with Anxiety answered "you" and after a few seconds, Liz started to beg for Angie's forgiveness after realizing the trap that she had just fallen into, but no matter how much Liz pleaded to Angie, she wouldn't listen to any of Liz's requests.

"You will pack all your stuff and get out of my house now. As for Max, you can call him as much as you want but this house is now mine."

When all of this had been said, Angie picked up her bag and phone from the table and yelled for Liz to walk out of the study as she had to close it for "security concerns"

The poor girl was lost for words and she walked out of the room shaking with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Angie stood at the door, feeling satisfied that she was eventually getting rid of the thorn in her flesh that she had endured for almost two decades.

"Like I told you earlier on, you can pack some breakfast before you leave." Angie smirked and left the house to go to the office since Max had not come back and she had to start running everything else.

Douglas was already aware of everything that had happened as Angie had confided in him and both had come to the same conclusion.

"Liz has to go, Baron will sort himself." They agreed and went to sleep that night, though most people thought he had some kind interest in Liz and would perhaps show her more mercy but they were wrong.

Douglas sat still on the living room couch with his fingers holding on to the remote, watching his football match and he pretended like he hadn't heard or seen anything at all,

When Liz passed him to go to her room and start packing her things, They both exchanged glances which amused Douglas a bit more,

He simply wouldn't just stop looking at Liz but then he quickly remembered that she had to go either way, he rolled his eyes in the worst possible way, smirked his lips twice and let out a loud laugh to mock Liz and Baron.

"I had always told you to obey me." He said to Liz but she paid no attention to him, she instead paid a deaf ear to his mockery and walked back to her former room since Angie had already kicked her out.

"Baron !" Liz kept calling him until he was able to sit up.
