Chapter 5: Unveiling Hearts

After getting demised from the council and the huge decree made by the council Alpha king and the Female Alpha.

Alpha Dominic knew it was going to be hard for him and Alpha Liam to get close together like they used to do before. But he knows that the council are watching his behavior, they really want to know if he is the one causing the fight between him and Alpha Liam or it's just coming in the way from alpha Liam.

Life is going to be going hard and difficult so pretty soon and that would cause so many decision to change.

That would cause so much life to hang with there.

And his life might never remain the same even when the world would becoming empty after the rapture just like how the humans believes it would be after the coming to world of the savior.

Alpha Dominic faced Alpha Liam when they got outside.

"I'll help you find your Emily,.." Speaks gently, alpha Dominic staring at him "but you will have to really treat the whole pack like they're your family and not your slave."

Alpha Liam smirked. "You want me to promise when we haven't gotten close to anything?" asked such a huge question, alpha Dominic staring at him and looking so shocked.

"Expenses might rise to an extent when you think life is going insane." Alpha Dominic walked closer to him, he is taller than alpha Liam. Staring at him below him is causing something he had never wished for. It's really annoying for him. "You have to promise that before we begin this journey."

"Why don't you just argue with the council when they decree that we must work together starting from today.?" Staring like stupid fool, that question got the attention of Alpha Dominic.

Alpha Dominic knew that it would more nicer for him to play safe and calm, life isn't going to easy anytime soon for him if he make such an attempt to fight the huge man.

"I'm just helping you, your wife is always looking sad." Alpha Dominic said, trying to stop peeking out. "I know it's because of how you treated her, that make her to run away to the town where she can have her own freedom. I wonder how you're getting along with your wolf. If your wolf ain't that stupid, he ought to have be fighting you within since the situation begins. I think you two are just the same. Same behavior, same stupid face."

That wasn't designed well, alpha Dominic looks deep down. Then he begins leaving.

Alpha Liam growled. "I'll come back for you after getting my sweet Emily back." he headed back to Alpha Dominic as they continue searching stuffs.

Alpha Liam has never found Chris that way, he was more than desperate to get his sister back. Even after he was been treated bad, even when Emily never wanted things to get easy with him.

That is making alpha Liam to think over it again, that maybe he was wrong.

Maybe the competition was just something that mean so much to Chris just like how he means a lot for him too.

Alpha Liam had once told Luna Dona one night:

"I have to give Emily to one rich alpha among those big ones in our territory."

And then Luna Dona had answered back Then: "Life is never a bed filled with rose, listen, we can't always act like we don't have a sense. Emily is a teenager and very soon when she turns eighteen, she will be meeting someone destined for her from the moon goddess. And then she will be happy, her wolf will be so happy for them."

That same day begin the nightmare for Luna Dona, because after that word, life life never remain the same for him. Life turns bad and bigger blurring for Luna Dona and her Romance love life life turn to never after.

Alpha Liam stared at how much attention and teamwork Chris and Alpha Dominic are turning together.

Of course, a male wolf who haven't find his wolf at age twenty three, that was all what describes Chris.

How can someone who haven't meet his mate at such age become the future Alpha of reputable pack?

That was all what's on Alpha Liam's mind, he can't set down something awful for his pack. If a pack has a weakling alpha, then the pack will crushed at any moment of their life. In total, they're never safe, life became a pieces of trenches for them.

"Let have some little food before we go ahead for the search." Alpha Dominic says making everyone happy except for alpha Liam, the guards are looking for declaration for the food time.

Alpha Liam walked closer to them. "We are searching for my daughter here. How can you think of us eating?"

"That's because we don't know who even kidnapped her yet, do you want us to fight with an empty stomach?" Alpha Dominic asked. "Listen, if thousands of bed aren't so much fun for hundreds of soldiers to stay in, they can't never be happy for their life. Warriors doesn't deserve to be hungry when going to war. Let me ask you a question, "

Alpha Dominic walked closer to him. "Are you not hungry?"

Everyone stares at that huge confrontation, no one expected alpha Dominic to be this pretty good within.

"Don't play like you care! I am not -" That was before Alpha Liam's stomach make some sounds.

"Dad, you're hungry!" retorted, Chris says. "Set the dinner." Chris says that to the maids watching as they walked away.

"Don't hide your bad attitude down. You always show that up and that makes me love you more than any explanation." Alpha Dominic smirked before walking away.

Chris saw that smile, it's the cutest thing he have ever found this year.

He walked away too.

Alpha Liam turned around to find only himself standing. "Shit, those bastards left me here." he growled as he walked inside too.

After the dinner, they continue the searching.

The moon hung high in the inky sky, casting a silvery glow over the pack's territory. Amidst the rustling leaves and the haunting calls of night creatures, Chris found himself pacing restlessly near the edge of the forest. Thoughts of Emily's safety and the impending confrontation with their enemy weighed heavily on his mind.

As if summoned by his thoughts, Dominic emerged from the shadows, his tall figure exuding strength and determination. Chris looked up, a mixture of relief and something else-something he wasn't quite ready to name-washing over him.

"You should be resting," Dominic said softly, his eyes softening as they met Chris's troubled gaze.

Chris shrugged, unable to shake off the restlessness that had settled within him. "Rest doesn't come easy these days," he admitted, his voice tinged with frustration.

Dominic approached, his presence comforting. "I understand. There's a lot at stake."

Chris nodded, his gaze dropping to the ground. "My sister's safety, our pack's unity... It's overwhelming."

Dominic reached out and gently lifted Chris's chin, guiding his gaze back up to meet his own. "You're not alone in this, Chris. We'll face this challenge together."

Chris felt a rush of warmth at Dominic's words, a sensation that both grounded and reassured him. "Thank you, Dominic. Your support means more than you know."

Their eyes locked, a charged silence hanging between them. In that moment, the air seemed to crackle with unspoken emotions, and Chris's heart raced in his chest. He could sense something shifting, a connection growing stronger, and a longing that mirrored his own.

"Chris," Dominic began, his voice husky with emotion, "there's something I need to tell you."

Chris's heart skipped a beat as he held Dominic's intense gaze. "What is it?"

Dominic took a deep breath, as if gathering his courage. "Ever since we first met on that cliff, something changed within me. It's as if fate brought us together for a reason."

Chris's pulse quickened, his eyes widening as he absorbed Dominic's words. "I've felt it too," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "There's a connection, a bond that I can't explain."

Dominic took a step closer, his hand reaching out to gently brush against Chris's cheek. "Chris, I've waited for so long, searching for my destined mate. But maybe... just maybe, fate has a different plan for us."

A rush of emotions swirled within Chris-confusion, hope, desire. He looked into Dominic's eyes, his heart laid bare. "Are you saying..."

Dominic's fingers moved from Chris's cheek to intertwine with his own, their touch igniting a spark that sent shivers down Chris's spine. "I'm saying that maybe we don't need to be bound by fate's design. Maybe we can create our own path."

Chris felt his heart swell with a mixture of emotions-joy, longing, and a profound sense of rightness. He leaned in, their lips brushing together in a soft, tentative kiss. It was as if the universe itself had paused to witness this moment-the moment their hearts finally found each other.

Dominic smiled, his thumb brushing lightly against Chris's cheek. "Neither have I."
