Chapter 4: Council Call

The atmospheric pressure getting too much for him handle at this moment.

The structure of the door breaking down.

How could this be happening his own pack house?

He asked himself several questions which he couldn't even answer himself gladly.

Oh no, the arrow shot penetrated into the room, hitting the mirror and shattering it down.

ALPHA DOMINIC stared with some horror his eyes.

He glanced through and kicked the door down, he faced two dark hood guys standing before him.

His guards were down, he stared at them again. Were they really that good to an extent of causing something like this?

Yes, bow and arrow were in their hands.

"What are you two doing here? are you here to die?" Alpha Dominic asks, glancing at them.

"Relax, Alpha Dominic. We are just here for something special." One of them said. Their voice dropping down, sharp, senselessly

"And you think destroying my door is the best option to discuss that special thing with me?" He asked with anger in his eyes.

They could see that, they quickly apologize: "That Wes ideas, your guards are not allowing us to see you. And we thought about teaching some lessons. We never know that, this is your room... we are so sorry."

"Be warned, I have many rules and this is one of them, don't speak shitty words and act stupid." Alpha Dominic says.

"We are sorry.," the one names Wes says with some good voice.

"Fine say, what you want to say now before I walk out of here." He says.

"The council call...."

"The council what?" he asked them as he never expected to be summoned by the council by now. The only time they do that is, whenever he has some issues with Alpha Liam. He never thought about offending him by any chance. Except for yesterday. What happened was something differential, but he couldn't tell maybe he took it so personal to an extent of acting stupidly of reporting him to them.

They nodded their head, he see why they have to do all they could do just to speak to him even though he still see this as something so stupid more than he could have ever trusts.

"Tell them, I shall be there in some few moment." He says. "And you Should know I can't leave my door this way. Not after you breaking it with your arrows ,

I'll summon for beta at this moment to take control but you should leave. Else he will be so angry about your visit and you know what is best for you two."

They nodded their head before running away through the window.

Alpha Dominic stares at the hallway and find Beta Ohio walking towards him.

Beta Ohio stares in shock as the guards manages to stand up on their feet.

"Get some some medical reports." Alpha Dominic says before walking to the office, beta Ohio was following him close by, not knowing what was wrong with him.

The office looks so good and better, the framework and wallpaper are the top notch, a man who loves a fashion. A fashionista that could have be the only Alpha who cares about all these. Others doesn't care a bit about it, all they do were just to be happy and good enough for themselves.

Else what, they rather scream their lungs out when making some stupid commands on others in the pack.

When they couldn't even take off a wings of the demon attacking them by night.

Love where supposed to be a good thing that give them something they had never felt before.

But this love we are talking about, about those Alpha, are that, they're just insecure the moment the wolf is allover them. When the wolf is gone, then their love is disappearing and nothing show up again.

"You reallyyyy not going to tell me what happened?" Gripping his hand , tightly, Beta Ohio know what is the best for him to do, why behaving childish. He quickly add some few explanation. "The door falling apart, the guards standing uppp, all are the deepest shock have ever received in the years. " Sad, "Will you tell what happened when I wasn't here."

Alpha Dominic knew this coming up, he advised the messengers to leave first before Beta Ohio would even appear in the frame. Seems that was the greatest goodnesses he had caused to someone whom he has never come in contact with for years.

"A messenger were here." He sighed, "they caused the door falling apart, though, it was the carelessness of the guards, the messengers were sent by the councils and you know much they need to tell the message before returning back to their hall." Smirking, as his hand on his chin. "Life never goes down like all what happened in the movies, you see this movies, we watch daily, talks about what ain't real,, most times. You should believe what you can and let the rest fade off your memory, so just get the best things you can put in your brain and let the rest fall apart." Fall into his chair, Alpha Dominic stares at him .

"Do the guards delayyy them or what?" Beta Ohio, still in some angry mood that would change his visual to be seeing twice what he is seeing in reality. "You know what they say, you give worth to whom deserve that Worth. In all, he should give you what you deserve to get.... No one can treat you this ill way and I should be fine with them." smiling with sadness. "Thank goodness you weren't hurt."

Alpha Dominic smirk and stares at his face. "They want to see me." dripping down the list of unfinished files. "I will leaving in ten minutes, you will complete all what is inside that. If you can't finish it up next time don't question why those messenger have to do what they do." Flipping through it, the shock on the beta face was something he wasn't expecting. "Just about ten files, and the meeting might just take up two hours. You have more than 300 minutes to get it done,man."

"This is really much,"Beta Ohio complained, he knew he was been punishes for questioning the alpha about those visitors. "And what are they calling you for this time around?"

"You should also tell me where you went to when the messengers were here." Gripping and fondling his pen. "You know what I meant better. Life can't be down on just one person. You deserve more than anyone could ever imagine. You deserve an accolades. But yet you let things come in feely."

This looks like a good question, Beta Ohio struggled with the answer within himself for awhile before he just nods his head. "You're right, they are supposed to meet me first even before they come to you." A respective answer From him. "I went to see my mate's mother, she is ill and even Sera couldn't sleep last night, complaining about this. And she has been crying, all I could do was just to make sure she is fine before coming this morning, I has never expected anyone to visit at this time of the day." He heaves a sigh, that could make anyone goes somehow mental. "Love and trust disappears from this unique world, but not mine. I can't really know such a bad thing would happen and then let it happen. It wasn't intentional not having a word before leaving..."

Alpha Dominic sighed. "I am not disappointed, it is a good thing , a warrior like you know how to make his woman happy and good. It was always a good thing to be a strong man and a man whom his wife would always love and cater for at any moment of life." Sighs, grabbing the key on the table. "I'm have to take a leave at this moment. Take care of this pack for me. It will something good having such a beautiful thing on your hand. You're a commander yourself. Don't be too dull to make a judgement on injustice even when I am not around.." He walked to the door, before turning back to him.

"Alpha Liam isn't going to be stopping to make me a council things those years." He sighs. "I'm not really afraid of whatever might be transpiring anytime soon, in the flipping city of tossing creature."

"I wonder how he would feel, to get to know you didn't really leave him to die in that battle." Beta Ohio struggled, "you didn't really let him to be with the enemies, you did what you have to do. You both was struggling for your life, I'd he was the one to escape, he will run away too seeing those before having aconites and silver with them. That was too hive mind for him to think you did that just to get rid of him."

"Everyone has a way of thinking," Alpha Dominic replied. "Sometimes, they're always right."

"But, he is never right in this matter," Beta Ohio says, walking up to him. "make sure you take good care of yourself. Those years hasn't been the best one for everyone. It was details of sadness and struggling for every single souls."

"you're right, you should get some fucking rest." He smiles, before walking away.

Beta Ohio walked back to sit and focuses on the files, until one got his attention,"HORROR, SMALL CAMP LOST THEIR HEAD. SUMMER PACK IN HELL DUE TO UNKNOWN KILLER." he wasn't expecting this from the Werewolf daily news., he was expecting something new this morning. He thought about their creature news are never good enough for them..

GREAT HALL OF THE COUNCIL, MOON PACK.

Alpha Dominic parked in the parking lot, his eyes caught with the Alpha Liam's own, he quickly take off his own, his guess were right. He actually have to report Alpha Dominic because of he find Alpha Dominic in his hill last night, which could have been anyone.

They headed inside the building, great and big hall inclusively.

The Great Hall of the Council, a majestic chamber carved from ancient oak, was abuzz with tension as werewolf alphas and leaders from various packs gathered. The air crackled with a mixture of anticipation and unease, as the council convened only in times of grave importance. This was one such occasion.

Alpha Dominic stood at the head of the room, his shoulders squared and his expression composed. His presence demanded respect, even from his adversaries. Around him, other alphas and their entourages sat in a circle, each representing their respective pack's interests.

As Dominic scanned the room, his gaze locked onto a familiar figure. At the opposite end of the circle sat Alpha Liam, his stern features etched with determination. Their eyes met briefly, a silent acknowledgement of the complex relationship that existed between their packs.

A dark man, an Alpha king Joan look thinly keen on Alpha Dominic. "We warned you last time, that you shouldn't be around him, that we wanted to make you two best of your behavior." A quiet audience from other pack.

"which I did." Alpha Dominic replied, best in his behavior. "It was his lackadaisical attitude that was causing the Council to be calling two of us for a meeting."

"You mean my lackadaisical attitude or you breached the rule?" Sharp, simple conversation from Alpha Liam, the bad man who couldn't even laugh for a seconds, It was a greater unbelievable words, no one could have ever believes that.

"Can you two just keep the hell shut!" Another hurl from another Alpha, she is a female Alpha, looking really dark and lovely. "Alpha Dominic, you have breached this council and you should be fine. And Alpha Liam, you were warned never to growl or talk out to another in this meeting council, you two should face a penalty." She turned to Alpha King Joan. "You should give them a punishment which will enhanced something good about our council. How can we belong to same council and same time bluffing at one another. That is immaturely behavior."

"You're right, scandal are yet to come if this continues between two of you." a quiet moment between them. Bird chirping can be hard. "Henceforth, alpha Dominic and Alpha Liam shall be the best friend, and shall fight for each other until we see if this need proper adjustment or not."

The tension was palpable, but before any words could be exchanged, the massive wooden doors swung open, and a hushed silence fell over the assembly. Chris burst into the room, his chest heaving, and his eyes wild with urgency.

"Alpha Dominic! Alpha Liam!" he panted, his voice carrying a mixture of fear and desperation. Heads turned, and murmurs rippled through the room as all eyes fixed on the young man.

Dominic's heart clenched at the sight of Chris in such distress. He took a step forward, his voice firm. "What's happened, Chris?"

Chris struggled to catch his breath, his words coming out in a rush. "It's my sister, Emily. She's been taken. Kidnapped by an unknown enemy. They left a message-"

Before Chris could finish, a growl rumbled through the chamber, drowning out his words. All eyes turned to the council's elder werewolf, a venerable alpha known for his keen intuition and deep connection to the pack's ancient lore.

"We are dealing with darkness that hungers for power," the elder intoned, his eyes clouded with a mixture of wisdom and sorrow. "A force that seeks to shatter the bonds that hold our packs together."

The tension in the room escalated as whispers spread like wildfire. Dominic's mind raced, and his instincts screamed that this was far more than a mere kidnapping. He exchanged a glance with Alpha Liam, and for a brief moment, their mutual understanding transcended their rivalry.

"The enemy's message," Chris continued, his voice steady now. "It spoke of a trial-a challenge to our unity and strength. They demand a confrontation, and if we refuse or fail, they threaten to unleash chaos upon our lands."

Dominic's heart pounded in his chest as he absorbed the gravity of the situation. He turned to Chris, determination in his eyes. "We won't let that happen, Chris. We'll find Emily and face whatever challenges lie ahead."

Alpha Liam's voice joined the chorus, his tone resolute. "Agreed. Our packs have clashed for too long. It's time we stand united against this common threat."

The council chamber echoed with the agreement of the alphas, and a renewed sense of purpose filled the air. The meeting shifted from a gathering of adversaries to a coalition of leaders united by a shared goal.
