Chapter 5 The Invitation

Alfredo's POV,

She said bye too and hung up. I had a quick shower, get dressed, and then head to my car. I still hadn't seen my father and I wasn't ready to.

I navigated my way onto the highway and continued driving toward the address she had provided. I didn't notice the blue van parked down the road.

I arrived at the address and was received by Elena. The house was a big one, tucked away in the suburban community of Terrence. There was a small lake by the side on the long narrow road leading up to the house. The whole area was filled with trees and plants. The place was the perfect location to hide or take a break from the noisy, bubbly life of the city. I had immediate respect for whoever had built the house.

The doors opened as I parked my car and Elena appeared, dressed in a purple hoodie and jean cut-offs. Her hair was tied into a ponytail. Even while simply dressed, she was very attractive. I turned off the ignition, pulled my keys out, and alighted from the car. I was driving a blue Chrysler this time.

"Hey," she smiled at me.

"Nice house," I commented, smiling back. That came easy to me. I was completely smitten by her. "Why aren't you dressed?"

"You want the truth?"

"Yeah," I was really curious to hear her response.

She led the way into the house and I shut the door behind me.

"I wasn't sure if I wanted to go again, I was hoping you wouldn't show up."

"Oh, why?"

The interior of the house was beautifully decorated. A large chandelier hung from the ceiling, swaying back and forth. The walls of the living room were filled with paintings and I even spotted one I was familiar with. A small aquarium occupied the little space between the large television and a wooden bookshelf. The little goldfish inside poked the glass repeatedly for a few seconds, then it swam to another end of the glass box and repeated the process.

"I'm not sure, I just don't feel like going out anymore.

"Have your seat."

I swept the room with my eyes, trying to decide which chair to sit on before finally settling for the cream-colored couch.

"We can stay at home if you want." I offered.

"Sure you don't mind?" She asked and I nodded in response. "Do you want something to drink?"

"What do you have?"

"Anything you want." Something told me she was being serious.

"Alright then, I'll have wine."

"Wine it is." She exit the room and returned a few minutes later with a wine bottle and two glass cups. She opened the wine and served the both of us.

"You live alone?" I asked the question that had been on my mind since.

"Kind of. I lost my father some weeks ago and my mother while I was a kid. So it's just me, no siblings." Loneliness was evident in her voice.

"I'm sorry about that." I felt guilty immediately.

"It's fine. How about you?" She was sitting close to me and I was enjoying the sweet scent coming from her.

"Both folks are still around. No siblings too." I finally drank the wine before me.

"You're Italian, right?"

"My folks, yes. I was born and bred here in the States. Never been to the home country," I smoothened my hair with my hand, not that it was really necessary. I made sure my hair was well combed every time.

We had a long conversation, getting to know each other well and all. I found out she was twenty-eight years old and had only ever been in two relationships. By then, the wine bottle was almost empty. She was fun to be with and the more time I spent with her, the more fonder I grew of her.

"What?" She asked as I stared at her lips. I hadn't realized I was doing that.

"Nothing. I just can't help but imagine."

"Imagine what?" She cocked an eyebrow.

"How your lips would taste," I caught the glint in her eyes.

"Why don't you come find out?" She dared.

And I did. I move closer to her and cup her face with my hands. Her skin was very smooth. She pursed her lips, her face clearly showing the anticipation she was feeling. My lips connected with hers and they tasted even way better than I imagined. We made our way to the room, her leading and leaving a trail of clothes along the way. Her fingers dug into my back, her legs wrapping around me as we made slow, passionate love.

I woke up an hour later to her smiling face.

"What?" I was curious to know why she was smiling.

"Nothing, you just look so peaceful while sleeping."

"I've been told,"

I couldn't take my eyes off her naked breasts and she licked her lips and grinned, fully aware of the effect she was having on me.

"How long have you been awake?"

"Not long, why?" She turned over and pulled the sheets up to cover herself, denying me the sight of her glorious body.

"Just asking. What's the time?"

"Few minutes past four. Do you need to be somewhere?" Her eyes were taunting me. In my mind, I start to compare her to Blair. Blair was a better kisser but her body was no match for Elena. Of all the women I'd slept with, Elena was the only one that could match up to Blair. I guess that's why I stuck with her for so long. Although, I don't think I needed to see her anymore now that Elena was in the picture.

"No. I have the rest of the day to myself." That was an understatement. I had every minute of every day to myself.

"Then there's still time," she advanced towards me, the sheets slowly unraveling her body.

"Time for?" I pretend not to understand what she meant.

She responded with a kiss and pulled me down to the bed. We went down again, faster and more urgent this time. We were both sweating and breathing heavily when she rolled away from me a few minutes later.

"What is it?" She was sitting on the edge of the bed, her back turned to me.

"I can't find my other shoe."

"You must have dropped it on our way up," she rose and took a few steps to where her bra was. She bent to pick it up, exposing her tender folds to me. It was a lovely sight and I could feel my member rising. She seemed oblivious of her actions and the impact they had on me.

She got dressed before me and made her way out of the room, returning some seconds later with my missing shoe. My hair was crumpled but there was nothing I could do about it. Fully dressed, we both headed to the living room and I took my leave a little while later.

At the door, she kissed me softly on the lips and I didn't miss the gloom in her eyes as she told me goodbye, even though she tried to hide it. I couldn't imagine the loss she was feeling from the death of her father. I didn't know what it was like to lose a loved one even though many people had died around me.

On my way home, my phone rang but I decided to ignore the call. Whoever it was could wait. I wanted to relive my afternoon in my head. The phone again and I still ignore it. Finally, when I realized the caller wasn't going to stop, I answered the call. My heart skipped a bit and I nearly hit a car when I heard what the person on the other line had to say.
