Chapter 5 LEAVE HER!!

CHAPTER 5: HER CONFUSED HEART

"WHY NOT REJECT ME INSTEAD OF DOING ALL THIS?"

I turned and saw Alexander looking at me with his eyes steaming out wildfire. My heart sank at the view. I couldn't believe how the conversation had turned out. I had been working with my friends, discussing our love lives, when I let it slip that I still cared for Gary. My mate, Alexander, heard everything and stormed out of his hideout without saying a word.

I knew I had messed up big time. How could I have been so careless and insensitive? I loved Alexander, but the feelings I had for Gary had always been there. And now that he had found his mate, it only made my heartache more intense.

"Alexander, please don't be angry with me. I know I messed up. I love you, don't you see that?" I pleaded in a shaky voice.

He turned to face me, his eyes cold and distant. "I heard everything, Lily. Do you know how pathetic you sounded? Why don't you just reject me and go after your precious Gary?"

I felt like I had been punched in the gut. How could he say something like that? I never wanted to hurt him, and yet here I was, causing him pain with my foolish words.

"Alex, please, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. You know how much you mean to me," I tried to explain, but he just shook his head and walked away.

"How much I mean? I thought you didn't care?" I could hear Alexander bawling out at me with fuming rage.

"I cared!!" I spat with hot tears running down my cheeks. I berated myself for loosing my last hope of being mated, I had hurt Alexander's emotions. I watched him with a keen gaze as the warm air of tension enveloped the both of us.

Slowly, Alexander's eyes turned to mine as our eyes met. My heartbeat quickened as I felt it, the mate bond. I tried to shrug off the poignant feeling of fright, but found myself drawn by a potent power too hard to breach, as a tug of emotions blew me away like a mighty wind.

Even with the adrenaline rush pumping in my veins, I tried to force out some words to beg Alexander, but whenever I tried, my lips closed shut immediately.

"Mate-" I chirped out all of a sudden. Alexander turned toe angrily, I could feel the heat of his skin from afar, I could tell from the look on his face that he was obviously angry.

"There's no need to call me that because I already quit!" Alexander bawled angrily with his face masked with nothing but pure anger.

"No!! Alexander, please!" I cried with hot tears streaming out of my eyes.

"I REJECT YOU!!"

At the sound of Alexander's voice, I felt my world crumble right before my very two eyes, my ears now seemed to stop working. I tried to turn to call him, but whenever I did, my legs trembled as if they would fall off my body.

"No!! Alexander, please!" I cried as Alexander made his way out of my dull world as darkness set in. I felt pain- in waves, spreading all around my body.

The swift blow of the leaves whistled mockingly at me as I heard the whistles and the full cracks of thunder from the clouds. The clouds darkened as thunder roared, glancing up, I saw a thunderstorm whirling in from the west. One glance at the rolling clouds, growing like a celestial tidal wave as my spine stiffened his gaze roving keenly on his surrounding.

I pushed off unto my two shaky legs, I could feel blood flowing back into my legs as they had been carved improperly in my fall. Now, the atmosphere had worsened, the wind was mighty enough to blow me away from my feet.

I turned and ran off- off into a corner, as I walked, she walked past guards who all were busy engulfed in their respective businesses. I turned off in a direction as I went off, passing a bent route to the gate where I wouldn't encounter many guards, so as not to be stopped by any of them.

I went off past a group of guards, I faced another direction and had wanted to walk past them when a mighty hand gripped my shoulder, and I was roughly dragged back.

I was walking in the woods near our pack house when I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my leg. I looked down to see a rogue wolf latching onto me. I tried to shake him off, but he was too strong.

Several other rogues appeared out of nowhere, surrounding me. My heart raced as I realized how outnumbered I was. They were attracted to me, drawn by my scent and allure. I knew what they wanted, and I wouldn't give it to them.

"Get off me, you mangy mutts!" I screamed, clawing at their faces.

But they only laughed, their eyes filled with lust and hunger. I fought with everything I had, but their strength was too much. One of them pulled me to the ground, pinning me down as he licked my neck and face. I turned to them and was about to push off the hand when another gripped my dress.

"W...what the-" I was saying as a hand caught my mouth and my head was swayed in a direction as my hair was dragged roughly. Pain, now in waves, washed through me as her gaze beamed on the set of guards I had walked past the other time.

"Ain't she pretty," a voice came from the background as the zipper of my dress was pulled down. I fought desperately- despairingly, trying to move, but many hands held me. The pain which came from my hair was intensifying, I now cursed my luck for the events that happened today, not too long, I was rejected by my mate, and now I am being taken hostage by these men.

"LEAVE HER."
