Chapter 2 Meeting him

Sandra and her parents arrived soon, announcing that they saw cars arriving in the distance. Selene got bouncy, excited to finally meet the famous Tristan but her father scolded her to behave.

Selene didn't understand why the Nightwing pack was coming here with cars, why didn't they just run in their wolf forms but her mother explained that it was because of the meeting, that they would be too disheveled and tired after such a long journey.

The three young omegas were told to stand in the back of the saloon next to each other, Selene was in the middle, Amelia and Sandra by her sides, and their mothers reminded them to stand still and straight.

Their parents stepped in front of them, partly shielding them with their bodies to greet the visitors and reveal them later.

Finally, they heard voices and in a couple more minutes, a maid walked into the room, bringing the guests in, bowing to them before she left.

"Mr Blackwood it's been so long," Edmund greeted before he stepped closer to a tall man, shaking his hand.

"Mr. Cromwell, it's always a pleasure to see you, I've heard your pack is thriving," Blackwood replied.

"It is and I hope it continues if we join our families," Selene's father nodded. This whole deal wasn't just about Selene marrying their pack's heir, it was actually about joining the two packs together, creating one that would be the most powerful in the country. Tristan would take over all the businesses not only of his father but Selene's as well since she was an omega she could not. She wasn't interested anyway.

Selene was stretching her neck to try to see the guests from behind her parents. She saw Maximilian, immediately knowing he was the leader. He was tall, even taller than her father, his hair was pitch black and his features sharp. His scent was strong and there was no question that he was very powerful, intimidating even.

She also noticed a beautiful, almost princess-like woman next to him. She was delicate and graceful, with porcelain skin and big, doe eyes, there was no doubt she was an omega and his wife. She saw two other pairs that had to be parents of the alpha suitors for Amelia and Sandra.

The adults were chatting for a while, everyone greeting everyone, and talking about packs and business for a while. Selene was starting to get uneasy, she was dying to meet her future mate, she knew he was standing behind his parents but he didn't manage to get a look.

"Mr. Blackwood, it is a pleasure to introduce you to my daughter Selene," her father's words suddenly alerted her. She stopped moving and straightened up, now this was the most important moment, she had to show she was a picture-perfect omega for the Nightshade pack leader's son.

Her father moved aside and so did her friend's parents, revealing the three young omegas standing behind them.

Selene bowed to Mr. Blackwood but then held her head high so he could look at her properly. The man stepped closer, eyeing her up and down without any expression on his face. Selene was suddenly nervous again, was she good enough?

"Oh my, you weren't lying when you said she's beautiful," Mrs. Blackwood broke the silence, standing a bit behind her husband, smiling at her kindly. Selene could immediately tell she was a good woman.

"Yes, we were blessed with a healthy and beautiful daughter," her mother nodded. "Is she still growing?" Mr. Blackwood asked.

"Yes but not that much anymore," her mother informed him. Selene was quite tall for her age but still shorter than most alphas. She was also skinny but since she went into her first heat, her body changed a little bit, her hips and ass were rounder, and her thighs meatier.

"What do you think, Max?" Mrs. Blackwood stepped to her husband, asking hopefully. "I trust she is well-behaved," Mr. Blackwood looked at her father.

"Of course, she has been receiving proper education since childhood and we are sending him to the omega center in Europe for a while," her father reassured him.

"Well, I think she is a good wife for my son," Mr. Blackwood eventually nodded. Selene nearly cheered but she contained herself.

"Well then they should be introduced," his wife smiled, turning around: "Tristan, come here."

They needed to see if the two potential mates had chemistry, of course, it was hard to tell without knowing each other but liking each other's scents and being attracted to each other was an important start.

Selene almost stopped breathing when Mr. Blackwood and his wife stepped aside and a young man bowed to her before he came closer.

"Hi, I'm Tristan," the black-haired boy introduced himself, looking at Selene curiously.

Selene's first thought was that this boy looked too innocent and cute to be an alpha but she remembered that he was still very young. He still had that unmistakable powerful alpha aura around him though, especially thanks to the strong scent. It was still very faint but that wasn't uncommon since he presented only a while ago, it was going to grow much stronger with years. He was pretty much a copy of his father, with black hair, and sharp features but he had his mother's eyes, making him look less intimidating and more like a lost puppy but there was still a glint in the

dark eyes that made Selene want to obey.

Her heart was hammering in her chest because Tristan was everything she'd imagined her future mate to be. He was so handsome, he was a bit shorter than her but it was clear he only started growing recently and his scent was tickling Selene's nose pleasantly.

Tristan was looking at her as well, eyes sliding from her face down to her feet and then back up. His nose twitched as he smelt the omega's sweet, floral scent.

"Hello Tristan, I am Selene," she finally introduced herself, snapping back from her little trance.

"Go on, what are you waiting for, go closer and smell each other properly," Mr. Blackwood poked his son in the back, pushing him towards Selene.

They were both nervous, Selene could tell that Tristan wasn't any better, this was all new to them and also pretty nerve-wracking, their future was being decided.

Selene stayed still, letting Tristan make the first move, letting him know that he had the upper hand here just like it was supposed to be.

Tristan stepped even closer and Selene felt shivers running down her spine as the spicy scent got stronger. Her breathing got quicker and she just waited for what Tristan was going to do.

The young alpha leaned closer, bringing his face to Selene's neck, sniffing on her scent gland which was producing a nice floral scent. He'd be a liar if he said he didn't like it, the omega smelt amazing and she was also probably the prettiest person he's ever seen.

Selene gasped when she felt Tristan's nose lightly brushing over her neck, the touch was electrifying. Her scent got even stronger and she heard a low growl coming from the alpha.

"Perfect, looks like we've been successful here!" Selene's mother's voice suddenly interrupted their little moment.

Tristan pulled back, his cheeks were slightly flushed and he was looking at Selene with his big eyes. The omega was blushing too, biting her lips and smiling slightly, suddenly feeling flustered.

During that small moment, they observed how Selene reacted to Tristan's touch and how Tristan reacted to Selene's scent, which was a good indicator that they were a good match.

"Wonderful," Mrs. Blackwood smiled, happy that it worked out. Their fathers looked pleased as well, happy that their alliance was closer to realization.

"We have to set up another meeting so they can meet in their wolf form, there's no doubt their wolves would like each other but they should still see each other," Selene's father said. Future mates meeting in their wolf form was another step in their arrangement.

"You could come to our territory, Selene could at least look around to see where she'd live in a couple of years," Mr. Blackwood suggested.

Then it was Amelia's and Sandra's turn to be introduced to their future mates. It wasn't decided which alpha would be for which omega but when they met face to face and did what Selene and Tristan did, it was clear they had chosen. Sandra captivated an alpha called Evan and the

other alpha Luke was quite mesmerized by Amelia. They were both sons of the important members of the Nightshade pack, they were going to be Tristan's beta and gamma in the future, helping him with leading the pack and the businesses.

"We'll stay in touch to set up the next meeting, it was nice seeing you, Mr. Blackwood, I am happy it worked out like this, it would make me happy if our children united our packs," Selene's father shook the other leader's hand.

The pack members said their goodbyes and left. Selene raised her hand and waved at Tristan, who just turned around in the car, looking back at her. The omega smiled with flushed cheeks, happy that the alpha waved back.

"So what do you think, darling?" Her mother asked with a knowing smile, not missing the small exchange between the two young wolves.

"I like him," Selene admitted sheepishly: "He is handsome, Mum, and I think he is going to be a very strong alpha."

"I think you're right, baby, in a couple of years when you get married, he is surely going to be a tall, strong, and handsome man," her mother reassured. Selene felt like she might burst with happiness. She's always dreamt about finding a perfect alpha mate and it looked like she might have just found him. She was just disappointed that she'd have to wait for so long to be with him.
