Chapter 4 Part of the game

In a big building of Metropolis City, in the CEO's office, a person who appears to be around 28 years is having a serious discussion with his PA, Manohar.

"What's the result? "

"How is the investigation going?" Vivek Chand asks Manohar with his usual cold voice.

"Mr. Chand, I have investigated everything according to the details we got."

" The correct person has been identified,"

" But..." Manohar starts to say.

"No 'buts', Manohar. "

"If the information matches, then we don't need any other information," Vivek says mysteriously, looking coldly at a picture in front of him.

"She deserves hell" Vivek thought inwardly

Manohar wants to say something, but he hesitates to talk to his boss as he knows how moody he can be.

He is well aware of the importance of the person in the picture, and he knows Vivek won't withdraw his mission until he achieves it.

Finally, seeing that Manohar is standing and not leaving the room, Vivek asks,

"Do you have anything else to add?"

Manohar thinks, "There is a lot more to say, but I don't think you are ready to listen as you are blinded by love,"

But he decides to express one of his main concerns.

"Sir, I don't think their family agrees to it."

"Throw the money, there is nothing money can't solve," Vivek says firmly.

Manohar is still hesitating, and Vivek notices.

"Alright, see to it that you find ways to approach them and make them agree as soon as possible."

"Yes, sir," Manohar replies.

After Manohar leaves, Vivek stands by the window, lost in his thoughts.

He gazes outside, watching the world go by as he contemplates the investigation and the picture he holds in his right hand.

His left hand in his pocket, a sign of his inner restlessness.

"I won't leave you," Vivek whispers to himself, referring to the picture in his hand.

The image seems to haunt him, and he can't shake the determination to uncover the truth behind it.

The room feels heavy with the weight of his emotions.

The usual cold and composed CEO is now consumed by a mix of determination, curiosity, and something else he can't quite put his finger on.

His mind races, trying to decipher the puzzle before him, while his heart tells him there's more to this story than meets the eye.

In a moment of vulnerability, Vivek opens his hand, carefully examining the picture once again.

He studies the face in the photograph, searching for any clues that might lead him closer to the truth.

It's as if the person in the picture holds the key to a mystery that has eluded him for far too long.

As he contemplates the picture, a soft knock on the door interrupts his thoughts.

Vivek quickly composes himself, slipping the picture back into his pocket, and responds,

"Come in."

It's Manohar, entering with a stack of documents in hand.

"Sir, here are the files you requested," he says, trying to read his boss's expression.

Vivek nods, " You can leave" and maintains his usual behaviour.

As Manohar leaves, Vivek returns to the window, his mind still occupied with the enigmatic picture.

He knows that he won't rest until he uncovers the truth and fulfils his mission, no matter the cost.

Little does he realise that this relentless pursuit will not only unravel the mystery behind the picture but also unravel something within himself

-A side he never knew existed.

Vivek Chand is a successful businessman, intelligent, ruthless, and cunning towards people he hates, yet kind to those he loves.

When a secretary fails to inform him about an appointment, he fires her without mercy for being careless.

He despises people who act carelessly and are not career-oriented.

As soon as Aaradhya leaves her house, Manohar and Vivek begin to observe her every movement, noticing that she sometimes appears to zone out as if she is talking to someone.

Manohar is sweating a lot, not understanding the intentions of his boss.

He didn't expect Vivek to be so direct, and he's worried about what might happen if the family doesn't agree to their plans.

"They will agree, Manohar," Vivek assures him as if reading the thoughts of Manohar.

Manohar, still perplexed, mumbles to himself, "What now? I cannot think clearly in the presence of this man."

"Poor girl, I don't know how she can survive," he continues to mutter, lost in his thoughts.

"Manohar!" Hearing his boss pronounce his name, he snaps back to attention.

"Find out the principal's room," Vivek instructs him.

Manohar listens to his boss conversation with the principal and gets even more confused by his boss's behaviour.

He has been with him for the past 8 years, and never before has he seen Vivek take such a keen interest in any girl.

"If my boss wants, many rich and elated women will be waiting in the queue, but why is he following this girl?"

" Of course, she's cute, but a person like him should also check the background, right?"

Feeling a little light-hearted, Manohar sighs and continues with his tasks, trying to make sense of the situation.

Vivek got out of the principal's room and saw Aaradhya running as if someone was chasing her.

Suddenly he felt as if he was concerned about her and he swiftly grabbed her waist tightly, having no intention of letting her fall.

He felt the softness of her waist and blushed slightly, realising he was holding her a bit too tightly.

Aaradhya looked up at Vivek with surprise and said, "Sir, can you please let me go? I'm getting late for class."

Quickly composing himself, Vivek tightened his grip around her waist, not intending to let her go just yet.

He felt a mix of conflicting emotions, unsure of his own actions as he found himself drawn to Aaradhya in an inexplicable way.

"What if there is no class? Is that okay?"

Vivek found himself saying the words, surprised by his own audacity.

He couldn't understand why he had asked that question, but there was something about Aaradhya that intrigued him, and he felt a strange connection to her.

Aaradhya blushed intensely, taken aback by Vivek's question.

She wasn't sure how to respond to this stranger's unusual behaviour..

"Cute little face, pink lips, and that nose pin... She looks adorable," he thought to himself, captivated by her beauty.

Sensing something was wrong with himself, Vivek quickly released his grip on Aaradhya's waist and stepped back.

However, he realised that his thoughts were inappropriate, and he mentally scolded himself for letting his guard down.

As soon as Vivek released his grip on Aaradhya, she quickly gathered herself and rushed to her classroom, trying to process the unexpected and intense encounter with the unknown Stranger.

Her heart was racing, and she felt a mix of confusion and nervousness.

In the classroom, she took a moment to catch her breath and tried to focus on her studies, but her mind kept going back to the encounter with Vivek.

"What was that all about? "

"Why was he acting so strangely?" she wondered, feeling a strange mix of flattery and discomfort.

Manohar, who had just come out of the principal's room, observed the entire scene and was completely confused by his boss's behaviour.

Manohar couldn't help but chuckle,

"Well, I must say, Sir, you have a unique way of getting to know someone."

Vivek grinned, "It's all part of the game, Manohar."

" In business, you need to be observant and adaptable."

As the day progressed, Manohar continued to be amazed by his boss's unpredictable behaviour.

Little did he know that Vivek had more surprises in store, and their pursuit of Aaradhya would take unexpected turns, challenging both of them in ways they never imagined.
