Chapter 4 Love 4

The atmosphere in the office today was a little tensed up . Everyone was just waiting for Charlotte to arrive at the office, there was gossip and murmuring going around about the post from the internet . What will Charlotte do now? Just as the news got out early in the morning .Everyone is running around to find out what can be done about the issue as ordered by Khloe Kane , Charlotte's personal assistant .

"Has she read the news yet " Leon asked

" No ,I don't think so " Khloe said

"It must be heartbreaking" Leon said

"which blog put up the post " Khloe asked

"Let me check " leon said

In a few minutes he was back

"So , what blog is it " Khloe asked

"Prime blog "leon said

"What " Khloe said with a burst of anger and furry in her look

"For the past few months he has been trying to get a story on Charlotte , snooping around here asking questions to the staff ". Leon said with disgust

"Beal Ryder is a sure a determined

Journalist , get him on the phone ,let's see what he wants "khloe asked Leon

Leon looked at Khloe one last time and gave her a walk away with speed just as Khloe would like it .

Just then Sasha came running almost hitting Khloe, as she was still standing on the office walkway

Sasha seems to be panting .

"What the matter " Khloe asked

"Shemini In the building " Sasha said

"Can you speak words " Khloe said

Sasha breathe in and out , she tried to calm down to speak

"It's Charlotte she is in the building

and she is on her way as we speak" Sasha said

"Why didn't you say that since " Khloe said

Sasha wanted to speak in the defense but she couldn't because Khloe was long gone

Khloe was waiting at Charlotte elevator ,

Charlotte finally arrived , The elevator door opened.

"Hi Charlotte , how was your night "

Khloe asked in a nervous tune

She has only been this nervous the first time she began working at Rubrum Couture , a few years ago .

"Hi Khloe,my night was beautiful. I slept like a baby . " Charlotte said .

"That's good to know, " Khloe said, trying to shake off the fact that she was still nervous .

"I really don't know why it feels as if everyone is acting weird today ".

Charlotte said

She opened her office door, and sat on the couch looking at her designs .

"Khloe can you get me a cup of coffee? " Charlotte demanded.

"On it " Khloe said

As fast as she went out the door , she was back inside the office.

She handed the cup of coffee to Charlotte, Charlotte took a sip from the cup .

"Refreshing, " she exclaimed.

"Okay Khloe , let me have my schedule for today" . Charlotte asked

With a tablet in her hand Khloe began

"By 12 o'clock , you are to inspect the materials for the clothes

By 2 o'clock , you are to check in with the tailors who are sewing the dresses .

By 4 o'clock , You are to have a board meeting for the winter fashion line ." Khloe said .

"Anything else, " Charlotte asked, looking up at Khloe .

"You might want to see this, " Khloe said .

Opening the tablet and giving it to Charlotte .

Charlotte looked at Khloe in disbelief.

"This cannot be possible , I just spoke with Dylan this morning. "

Charlotte said with tears in her eyes .

"Tell me it is not true, " Charlotte said .

"These pictures were taken yesterday night at El Maria .This is Sophie and Dylan". Khloe said

"I don't understand any of this "

Charlotte said and burst into tears

"So Dylan is cheating on me

With Sophie , my nemesis ,

I cannot believe he would do this to me, " she said.

"I thought we had a connection ,

I thought we loved each other "

Charlotte added

"I mean just last night he was at my apartment , I need answers , he cannot just do this to me "Charlotte said.

Charlotte sobs seems to have turned into a large wail .

She cannot curtail her emotions .

Khloe goes over to her and pat her on her back continuously .

"Everything is going to be alright "

Khloe said

"Give me my phone " Charlotte orders Khloe

Khloe picks up Charlotte phone from the bag

She is trying to call Dylan but his phone seems to be switched off .

"Why " Charlotte said as she collected the tissues from the side table and blew out her nose .

A few years back her and Dylan were highschool sweethearts , everyone always thought they were made for each other but now she wasn't so sure of her feelings as she was a few years ago , everything seemed to have vanished with the scandal .

At the sky building where Dylan is the CEO of Maliki wears and he seems to be making a phone call talking with Noah the company's lawyer about the next turn to go on the scandal .

Joseph Sky , Dylan's father , walks into the building with a lot of bodyguards and up to his son's office .

He enters with fury in Joseph eyes he looks at Dylan

"Hello Dad , I wasn't expecting you ... "

Before Dylan could complete his sentence he was slapped by his father .

Dylan looked up at his Dad .

Joseph slapped Dylan again

Joseph straightened the wrinkles

created on his clothes with his hand .

"Do you want to bring our name to the mud ? '' Joseph asked Dylan with fiery eyes

"I can not believe you could do such a thing , you caused a scandal by cheating on your girlfriend " Joseph said .

"Dad please calm down and about the scandal I am in , my team is currently working on it " Dylan said, still touching his face .

"I want you to get back together with your girlfriend , she is an asset to this family " Joseph said

"Dad , I cannot get back together with Charlotte ,I don't love her anymore , I am now in love with Sophie " Dylan said

"Boy , what do you know about love " Joseph said

"Dad all I know right now is I am in love with Sophie and I will marry her before the end of this year" Dylan said

Joseph was almost hitting Dylan again when his PA walked in

"So sorry to disturb you sir , but it is urgent " James said, handing him the phone .

It was Kingston Price from Meri food and pastry on the line

"Good afternoon Mr Sky " Kingston said

"Good afternoon Mr Kingston " Joseph said

"I would like to call your attention to this , since this morning there has been an unrest due to the scandal and the board members want you down from being a CO-CEO , I am waking on you staying as a CEO but your chances a slim and the other CEO want a board meeting before the end of today " Kingston said

Joseph was speechless

"Mr Sky, are you there? " Kingston asked

Joseph was brought back to the reality that he might lose what he has worked for 30 years

"Yes I am " Joseph said

"if I can help you I will but my hands are tied on this one " Kingston said

"There has been a fall in sales since this morning ,The board meeting will be held by 4 pm today , okay then , see you soon " Kingston said

"Bye " Joseph managed to say

Joseph, still in shock at the news, suddenly looked anxious. He had started this company when he was 25 with his panthers and now he was about to lose everything he had spent his life working hard for .

He checked his watch and the board meeting was in 2 hours .

He looked at Dylan with anger and regret

Joseph said to him" You'll fix this "

He left Dylan's office without uttering another word .His PA walked right behind him .

Dylan couldn't understand what his father meant till 2 hours later .

When his father was all over the news .

"Good Morning Sir " Noah said

"Good Morning Noah " Dylan said returning the greetings

"I know you must have heard the news , now tell me what can be done to prevent my Dad being removed as CEO . " Dylan asks

"Well there are ways to deal with this situation " Noah replied

"Which are ?" Dylan ask

"You have to apologize and get back together with Charlotte " Noah replied

"Not going to happen" Dylan replied looking at Elijah

"Anymore suggestions "Dylan asks

"Not from me , that is all I can think of, " Noah replied, taking a seat on the couch .

"I need ideas guys " Dylan said in a casual but hasty tone

"I got it " Elijah said

"What is your plan ?" Dylan asks

"Hmmm " Elijah gives a large sigh before continuing

"The idea might work , do you know of the victim card ?" Elijah ask

"No " They both chorused

"Okay the one that Daniel Enoch used to gain favor back from the masses " Elijah said

"Oh yeah " Noah said

"I feel we have a shot to use this his Dad being removed from being CEO in our favor " Elijah said

"Okay then let's work on that and give me feedback in an hour " Dylan said

Dylan was feeling small relief

"Yes Sir " They both replied and left the room .

Dylan was pacing the room despising the thought of actually calling Charlotte and getting back with her . is that the only solution to get his Dad back he wondered .

He hoped that somehow this new plan would work , maybe he would gain the fans' love again and get his father's name cleared .
