Mehak's pov

Ever happened when you want something to get canceled and it got canceled?

Imagine the happiness that's what I'm feeling right now.

Our shoot got canceled because kiaan sir has to do some other work.

So today I got half day off and on top of it Jatin called me to inform me that his friend is ready to cast me in a short film.

So my happiness is double right now.

I wore a purple color crop top with white polka dots and paired it with a navy blue white design printed long skirt.

I love long skirts more than I love jeans or leggings...

On that note I wear every type of clothing.

If I want to be an actress then I should wear every type of clothing right?

I went outside and saw ma getting ready for her work.

"Ma I'm going, bye," I told her

"where are you going? You said the audition got cancelled. Then?" she asked me

"Ma actually I'm going to shoot for a short film. That's why I'm going. I will directly go for my shift in hotel from there" I said

"Ok, go safely," She said and I nodded

Manu has gone for his tution so no good bye to him.

I decided to take the bus because I have to be presentable for the shoot. I can't be all sweaty and messy.

It took me a good 55 minutes to reach thanks to Mumbai traffic.

I reached the place and saw Jatin there.

"what are you doing here?" I asked him

"I came here for you. How can I leave my friend alone?" he asked me

He is indeed a good friend who didn't leave my side once he made me his friend.

"you're the best friend that anyone can ask for." I told him and hugged him

"OK ok drama queen no need to be senti when you will become a superstar then don't forget us that's it." He said

"I won't forget anyone who helped me in any way. I am a person who remembers every help from every single person she got." I told him

"I know, now let's go and start the work," he said and introduced to his friend who is the main person here

It's a short film and will only take two days to be shot.

The story is really good. It's about a girl who protests against domestic violence and wins in the end.

Jatin was there when I was doing the shoot.

I changed myself in a salwar suit and that's it. No extra make up or ornaments.

I was good at my work so the shoot was done in one day only. And tonight he will release it as well.

It was almost time for our work so we left.

In middle jatin treated me with pani puri as I got a chance to show my capabilities.

I tried to deny him but he didn't hear my protests.

We both ate till our hearts content and then joined our works.

The shift passed really fast as today as everyone was busy, today many customers came and I was running here and there to serve them.

Once done with my work I went home and buyed one tub of tutti fruti and a tub of chocolate ice cream.

Manu (manik) loves both flavours very much so does ma.

I got payment today only and if I got some more work like today it will be a great help.

With these thoughts I reached home and saw manu was studying as always and Ma was nowhere to be seen.

"Manu takes it and brings bowls and calls ma as well. And yes open only one tub and place another one in freezer " I told him handing him the ice cream

"Ma has already slept and she isn't feeling well." manu said

"what happened to her?" I asked him

"nothing serious. Just got tired of nothing else. And I'm going to eat ice cream if you want you can join me," he said and I nodded

I freshen up and change my clothes. After that I went to check on a ma who was deep asleep.

I didn't disturb her and went outside to find Manu eating half a tub of ice cream.

This boy loves ice cream too much.

" Leave something for me," I said and he smiled cheekily at me

I snatched the tub and ate it.

"Did ma cooked?" I asked him if not then I have to cook something

"yeah she did make potato curry and make the dough for chapati. You have to make the chapati." He informed me

"OK," after saying it I finished my ice cream and made chapatis

Manu and I ate our dinner and went to sleep.

Next day came and to my happiness kiaan sir was still out so no audition is going to happen for a few days means I can find more short film works and do them isn't it?

10 days passed and I did 4 short films,

I never thought about doing this work because I wanted a big chance but now I know that you can't get big chances directly. You have to work at small places first.

And the response is good. Jatin was saying that his friend wanted me to do more work with him.

It was really great news for me.

Finally It was the day when kiaan sir came back and the audition was held.

He didn't approach any famous actresses for this but decided to launch a new face.

I should have applied but I know he won't take me for his movie because we both have no match. In this industry you have to have a beautiful face then talent and I know he will choose the most beautiful girl to work as his heroine.

Thus I'm here dressing up the girls for an audition.

Half of them got rejected and I'm watching the drama.

They can't recite a dialogue perfectly. How will they shoot the whole film?

I was shaking my head in anger as these girls said they want to be actresses but don't know Acting.

I'm not too much over confident about my talent but I can do better then them.

I was mumbling this when suddenly another make up artist nudged me.

"what?" I asked her

"sir is calling you," she said and I looked at Kiaan sir who is looking at me amused
