Chapter 4 Vampire conquered the war

It has been long Alexander and his father Damien has been on the battlefield. Alexander knew his father was covered in wounds and was bleeding each day. The werewolves were not backing down either. He had to do something now or he was going to lose his father to the battle.

He devise an alternative plan to attack the werewolves and render them useless. He discussed the details with his father Damien and the other soldiers. The plan was solid and Damien felt proud of his son's brilliancy.

They won the war and were able to arrest the rest of the pack.

Olivia was waiting at home patiently for their return. She had numerous fears that they were not going to make it home. She had to banish those for her mind.

She ran to hug her son Alexander,who was limping and walking towards her.

"My baby." She cried aloud and embraced him tightly. Alexander felt all his guards drop down Immediately his mother hugged him and he began to weep.

"Shh..baby it's alright. You're safe now." She shushed him.

" Mom.. it's Dad. He was wounded badly." Alexander said betsob each sob.

On hearing that about Damien, Olivia pulled out quickly and ran to the infirmary. She busted through the doors to see her husband laying lifeless all bandaged up.

"Damien." ank down on her knees beside his bed.

"My Queen" A nurse said to her.

"Is he alright? " Olivia asked even though the life monitor was beeping to show to clear her doubts she just wanted to hear the words.

"Yes my Queen. He is just under the effect of the anesthesia we gave him to be able to stitch up some deep cuts."

Olivia nodded. She didn't hear most but the fact he was okay. That was okay forIt.

It's has been a month since the war ended. Everyone was back and well. Olivia was very happy when Damien woke up for the first time. They had wept when they saw each other. They kissed passionately and it seems their love got rekindled and the feelings grew more stronger.

They made love passionately the night they spent together in their room.

It was hot and steamy lovemaking. They renewed their vows for each other and enjoyed the night in each other arms.

Alexander decided to further his education and he applied. When his admission letter came in. Everyone was happy about it but Damien wasn't comfortable with the idea.

"This is a school in the human world. You can't fit in." Damien said at the dinner table.

Alexander signed and looked at his mother. "I will mask my scent and blend in. I look more human than you father. Thanks to you and Mom's love"

Olivia chuckled at her son's description of her forbidden love with Damien.

"Let him be Damien. I'm sure he will be safe. After all, humans don't know about our existence."

Damien frowned at his wife. " You spoil this boy too much."

He poked his steak and breathed out. "Fine. Just don't bring war home. No mingling with the humans. Be in control son. Your vampire side will draw certain desires up. Avoid that."

Alexander smiled and nodded. " Sure, Dad. I'll be careful and make you both proud."

After the dinner, everyone retired to their rooms. Alexander's trip would be in twodayse. Olivia being sure that her son was all packed up, she went back to her room to rest. She has been feeling a little light-headed for some days now and she doesn't know why. She just hope it isn't what she's thinking of that it could be.

"Olive. I don't know if I'm really comfortable with allowing him go to that place." Damien said when his wife climbed into bed.

Olivia turned to face him. She caressed his face and placed a kiss on his lips.

"Let fatedecided that my king." She said cozily.

Damien felt sparks and drew her closer to feast on her cute lips.

"I love you Olivia" He said after an intense kiss

Olivia smiled and said " I know".

Alexander couldn't wait to see what the human world looks like. He woke up very early. His flight was by 10am but he was just so excited to wake up very early.

"If you keep up that way. You will feel nauseous during the flight. " Olivia said. She was feeling nauseous too this morning.

"You look sick mom. Are you alright?" Alexander said instead.

Olivia wave her hand and said no.

Finally it was 9am and Alexander was driven to the airport.

Damien hugged his son goodbye and Olivia couldn't stop crying. She just realized that her son won't be coming home anytime soon.

"I'll miss you my baby. I can't believe this day I feared the most would come so soon." She said. Alexander hugged his mom and tried to wipe her tears.

"Mom I'll be visiting. It's not like I'm going forever." Alexander assured her.

Alexander got to his flight and he watched as the plane rose and his beloved home disappeared into the clouds.

Alexander was able to get to his apartment before dusk. He was already tired and wanted a long rest.

He didn't even care to unpack. Just as he lay down to sleep, a loud speaker was turned on and the sound was resounding from the walls.

He knew it was coming from the next flat. He closed his eyes and concentrate his hearing. He could hear mixed sounds of voices and the music.

He couldn't sleep, so he walked out of his flat to knock on the next flat.

No one answered and with frustration, he banged on the door and the music became lower people stopped talking.He went back to his room with his inhumane speed before the door opened. Tomorrow he will have to introduce himself to his neighbor. Maybe he will be considerate with his parties.

First day at school wasn't as what he really expected.

He was able to get to class on time. He video called his Mom and Dad to show them he was settled in. He took a campus tour and was able to know his ground.

After all his classes ended, he went back to his house.

Inside the elevator he sensed a strong fragrant that made his gum ache. He had never experienced anything like this. It wasn't as though he was hungry because he already had a bloody beef on his way back in his car. Why is his gum aching.

He was so drawn to this fragrance that he followed it to it source.

Unfortunately it lead him to his neighbor's door. He hesitated but then found home knocking on the door.

"Coming!' a voice answered from inside.

The knob turned and the face of the most beautiful woman Alexander ever saw appeared.

"Hi. You must be the new neighbor. I'm sorry about yesterday. My friends were silly." She said in a melodic voice.

Alexander was dumbstruck. His gum ache so badly that he wanted to draw her closer and mark her as his.

Now this is what his father felt for his mom.

"Yeah. I'm Alexander." He brought his hand while staring at her cautiously.

"I'm Valerie. Nice meeting you Alex. Do you mind?" She smiled and took his hand in a brief handshake.

It was all the courage that Alexander had that he didn't pull her into his embrace and mark her.

He tried to catch any scent of vampire or werewolf but she didn't have any.

She was human. His mate was a human.
