Chapter 5 Why

"What, where is he? She asked

"He just left.

Anna walks back to her room, sitting down on her bed confused. She walked close to her window and pushed her window glass to the side, she thought to jump off but she probably won't survive it because the house was a two-story building.

Her phone rang. It was her dad calling again.

"Hello, Dad."

"Where are you, Anna?"

"Dad, I won't be able to come, how about you put Mum on the phone and let me talk to her?

"Ok dear, talk to her."

"Hello mum, please stay strong for me. Make sure you come out of the theater alive. I will be waiting for you, Mum. She said with tears streaming down her face.

"I love you," her mum said in a low tone.

"I love you too, mummy".

It was already 7 pm and Jackson was not back yet. Anna lay on her bed to have some peaceful sleep.

Nova wore a skipping and revealing dress exposing her breast and thighs. She sat in a coffee shop where Jackson always takes his coffee before going home. She had been sitting now for about 40 minutes and the time is already 8 pm.

This is not her first time sitting at that spot admiring Jackson. She has been crushing on Jackson for a very long time.

Jackson mostly comes to that coffee shop alone to drink coffee and think about his moments with his mum before going home.

He always follows his mom to this coffee store before she passed away.

It wasn't long before Jackson walked into the shop, ordered a cup of coffee, and was pressing his phone when Nova walked close to his table. "Hello, do you mind if I join you? She asked.

Jackson looked at her from head to toe and turned his face back to his phone, ignoring her request.

She sat down without getting a reply from Jackson. She adjusted her cloth, shifting it down a little bit. "My name Is, Nova". She said while stretching her hand forward for a handshake.

"I think you need to learn how to wear proper clothes before going out". He said, while grabbing his car keys from the table, stood up, and left. Leaving Nova's hand hanging in the air.

At 8 am in the morning the next day, Anna checked her phone and saw three missed calls from her dad.

She tried calling him but couldn't get through. Anna felt a sudden pang of fear as different thoughts kept going through her head.

She has been calling her dad several times. But his phone was switched off.

She walked around her room trying to calm herself down. The thought of her losing her mum was so painful for her to bear. She decided to go to the hospital to see her mum.

She quickly changed her clothes, grabbed her small bag, and rushed downstairs.

"Good morning ma'am. One of the workers greeted her.

"Did Mr Jack...uh I mean my husband come back last night? She asked the maid.

"Yes, he came very late and went back again early this morning.

"Okay, that's good," she said while walking towards the gate.

"Please I need to go see my mom," she said to the gateman.

"Am sorry ma'am, I can't open the gate for you.

"Don't you understand? I need to go see my mum, it is a Matter between life and death. Please let me go, I will be back before you know it.

"Am sorry ma'am it's an order from my boss

"Please, I'm begging you, help me, I will be back before you know it. Please trust me.

"I don't want my boss to fire me.

"He won't, okay, I promise you that. Just help me.

"Okay, ma'am. He said at the same time opening the gate for her.

Anna took a taxi that will take her to the hospital. The journey to the hospital will take about 40 to 45 minutes.

"Hurry up sir. She said

She sat in the car with fear in her heart and different negative thoughts going through her mind.

Her phone ringing tone brought her back to the present.

"Hello dad, I saw your missed call this morning and I have been calling you since but your phone was switched off.

"I'm Sorry dear.

"Okay, how about Mum's surgery?

"Your mom's surgery was successful but she hasn't woken up yet.

"Ohh, thank God.

"I will call you once she wakes up okay?

"Alright Dad, I will come to the hospital when I have the chance, okay"

"Alright dear, take care.

Anna told the taxi driver to turn around. She needs to get home before Jackson.

The taxi stopped in front of Jackson's mansion. Anna quickly went inside and kept looking around to check if Jackson was back.

She sighed the gateman on his knees and Jackson sitting on a classic soft chair with his legs crossed.

Anna was so anxious that her heart thumped violence in her chest.

There was only one thought on her mind at that moment: she was dead!

She walked slowly close to Jackson

Jackson's expression was dark and terrifying, and there was a raging fire in his eyes.

"Get out of my sight. He said to the gateman and turned to face Anna

"Where are you coming from? He asked in a low and deep voice that chilled her to the bone.

"I was about to go see my mum but...

"How dare you disobey my orders.

"I was going to see my mom but after receiving a call from My Dad I didn't go again.

"On who's order? Who gave you that permission? You disobeyed my orders and you will be punished for that.

Lock her up in her room and she is not allowed to eat anything in this house until I say so. He said to two of his bodyguards.

"What? Why are you treating me like this? What have I done to you? Why do you hate me so much? Why did you marry? She yelled at him as he was walking away.

Harry turned around facing her "Because your mum is the reason....
