Chapter 5 Something to make him beg

As Becca pulled away from the hug, she smiled at her dad's statement. "You sound so serious like something is going to happen." She laughed lowly and he did same too.

"Heh. I needed to, so you should get going... don't keep the young man waiting at home." Her father said to her and she nods her head.

"Yeah, right. Bye dad." Becca waved at him before she turned to leave and he smiled at her leaving figure.

Becca made her way out to her car where it was parked, her driver was there waiting for her.

"Hey Dee, I am sorry if I kept you waiting." She said to him. Dee is the nickname she gave him.

"No not at all madam, you didn't." he chuckled as he stood by the back seat and opened the door for her to go in.

"Thank you."

"Please, don't mention." He replied with a slight bow before he closed the door gently and walked to the driver seat to drive the vehicle.

"You know where we are going, back to the mansion." She said to him as she rested her head against the headrest and he nods his head.

"Yes madam."

With that being said, Becca closed her eyes slowly with a low sigh... "A little rest would work." She said to herself.

Meanwhile, Kai and his men had arrived home minutes ago.

Kai William sat seething in his opulent living room, the atmosphere heavy with his anger. The rejection of his offer by Becca's father had infuriated him. His mind raced, searching for a way to regain control and assert dominance.

As his thoughts swirled, Tony, ever the loyal confidant, entered the room. The tension in the air was palpable, but he knew he had valuable information to share. He approached Kai, who turned his gaze toward Tony, his eyes ablaze with fury.

"Tony," Kai growled, "tell me you have something that can make Becca's father reconsider."

"He might not reconsider, and if he doesn't, we will have to take her then." He replied and Kai carved his brows at him.

"Her? Who?" he replied

Tony nervously swallowed, trying to steady himself. "Boss, I have some new information that might change the game. The old man Maverick, he has a daughter named Becca, a university graduate, 22 years old."

Kai's interest piqued. Becca's personal involvement could offer leverage and potential vulnerability. "Tell me everything you know, Tony. No detail is too small."

Tony proceeded, giving Kai the ultimate dossier on Becca. "Becca Maverick has lustrous chestnut hair that falls in loose waves around her shoulders, her captivating hazel eyes reflecting wisdom and determination. She exudes an aura of confidence and intelligence, having graduated with honors in architecture from the prestigious university. She possesses a strong-willed spirit, known for her active involvement in community projects and her unwavering devotion to her family."

"I asked for more, not really her features." He laughed

Kai's mind raced, contemplating the possibilities of exploiting Becca's connections, dreams, and desires. As darkness danced in his eyes, a sinister smile curved on his lips, knowing that Becca's fate now held the key to his revenge against her father.

"I think she was the one I saw earlier." He smiled as he took a slow sip of his wine into his mouth.

With this newfound information, Kai's plan crystallized, and Becca's life would soon intertwine with the dangerous world he commanded.

"Now, Maverick would see who the boss is." He smiled then turned to Tony.

"I know you will never let me down, we will make a move tomorrow."

"Threaten him with his daughter?" Tony asked

"No, we don't need to go see him; instead... we would get her then give him a phone call. I won't let her go without getting what I want." He smiled

~~~Becca stepped out of her car and looked up at her father's mansion looming before her. It hasn't been a while since she had been back here but it feels that way, and she couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia and a sense of unease at the same time- Kai Williams.

As she made her way into the grand hall, she heard footsteps and turned to see Alan, her fiancé, sitting on a chair with a small smile on his face.

"Alan, what are you doing here?" Becca asked, surprised even though she was expecting him.

He laughed at her before he replied. "What am I doing here?"

"Oh, goodness, of course I know." She replied with a laugh.

"Is your father home?" he asked and she shook her head negatively

"Not yet." She replied

"Oh, okay then, my love."

Becca smiled, feeling a warm feeling inside her chest. This man loved her unconditionally, and she couldn't wait to spend the rest of her life with him.

They sat down on the couch and talked about their future plans. They had both always wanted to travel the world, and they had made a list of all the places they wanted to go.

"I can't wait to see every part of the world with you," Alan said, gazing into her eyes.

Becca felt her heart race faster as Alan leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her lips, sending shivers down her spine.

They then spent hours talking about their lives, their dreams, and their hopes for the future. As they sat there, wrapped up in each other's arms, they couldn't help but feel grateful for finding each other.

"And yeah, I noticed something... you looked pissed off before you saw me." He said to her as he stroked her arm and she mouthed, "Oh."

"Yeah I was pissed off, but its fine now." She said to him

"No, tell me what happened." He insisted and she sighed

"Okay, there is this guy that suddenly showed up at my dad to claim shares with him."

"What? Who is he?"

"Kai Williams." She replied and his eyes went wide

"You know him?" She asked him,

"He is a mafia leader." She added, Alan seemed lost before he replied.

"Oh, yeah... the mafia leader but since when." He replied after blinking his eyes rapidly

"You knew him? Before or have you met him" she asked him

"What! No, not at all... let's not talk about him. He can't have what he wants." He simply replied and Becca sighed, shrugging her shoulders.

"I love you, Becca. I will keep you and have babies with you." He said before he kissed her forehead.

"Our kids must be so beautiful, just as you are." He said and she giggled

"Promise me something Becca."

"What is it, Alan?" she replied as she looked at him.

"You'll be mine, nothing will ever come in between us?"

"Of course, we are engaged already so why did you ask?" she replied

"I am the one you are waiting for, we could get married tomorrow or next but because of work and family stuff....it-" she didn't let him finish his statement.

"Are you kidding me? You are my boyfriend... haven't engaged me yet." She laughed

"Yeah, in the other realm... I have." He laughed

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes

"So, do you promise me?" he asked her and she sighed

"Fine, I promise."

She knew that no matter what life threw at them, they would always have each other's backs, and that thought filled her with the utmost joy.
