Chapter seven

'Why is this girl so innocent? There's something about.' Thoughtfully he asked and reshuffled his hair and shortly she stopped laughing.

"Okay..., sleep tight." She said calmly and he was like not yet because he still want to hear her voice, but he didn't know what to ask her again so he kept quiet for a while before he said,

"It's alright Cindy, good night." And disconnected.

He took a deep breath as he laid back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, he didn't know when he slept off.

She woke up the moment the reflection of the sun stroked her eyes through the window, slightly she opened her eyes and with the back of her palm she rubbed her eyes, 'O my God, am late.'

She thought and swung her legs down from the bed. She hurriedly went to the bathroom and took her bath, immediately after she was done, she quickly dressed up not bothered about her breakfast, then picked up her purse and rushed out of the room.

On her way, she collided with someone as she was in a haste.

Cindy's foot was on his shoes, so she almost fell when his strong hand gripped her tight and pull her back to her feet.

She was shocked and couldn't move her legs. Her eyes went up to his head and slowly slid down to his feet, his body spry was intoxicating her.

Mean-looking at him she could see that he was not someone to mess with.

"I...I am." she stammered, before moving her leg to pull away from him, her eyes went back to his head, he has long dark and silky hair.

There was total silence between them and the moment she looked at his face, she saw him staring at her not tearing his eye away from her,

'O God, what kind of beauty is this?' She thought as she had never met someone like that before and was carried away in her thought.

'Is this man a human? Or could he be an angel?'

But finally, she came back to her senses when she heard him clear his throat and looked away from her, so she quickly apologized.

"I am very sorry sir..., your shoes, I... I ruined...." Saying that she removed her pink handkerchief from her purse and crouched down to his feet to clean his shoes, "Don't bother."

Saying that he held onto her shoulders to make her stand up.

His voice was very cold like a piece of ice, immediately she heard his voice, a ghost bump spread over her body, so she paused and gently stood upright.

"You are late to class and I don't want to be responsible for that." He took a deep breath and stepped aside, doing that, he ordered, "You may leave now."

She hung her head low to make sure she avoids eye contact with him once she was standing because of how she felt the first time she looked into his eyes. Hearing his order she nodded,

"Thank you, sir." She appreciated it and walked away.

As Eduardo walked to the car park, the same thought came flashing in his memory, 'She's beautiful and I've never seen such.' he wrinkled his eyebrows as he nod once and went into his car.

He closed his eyes and leaned back his head to clear his thought from what happened in the hostel but he kept seeing the picture of the girl, so he quickly shot his eyes open and drove away.

Kate invited Cindy to their dancing practice that same day, so immediately after they were done with the lecture she quickly went back to the hostel to get prepared.

On her way back to the hostel one of the dangerous guys in the college came and stood on her path.

When she looked back and discovered that nobody was coming in their direction, she was struck by fear of seeing him and before she could ask him why he was standing on her path, his group members started coming out one after the other.

It was then that Cindy realized that she was in trouble, 'his group members are here with him and I've done nothing to him. O God help me, who knows their plan.'

The thought of what would happen to her if they eventually take her away from the school premises scared her the most.

A shiver ran down her spine and immediately, she quickly asked him, "What did want from me?" But he only smirked at her.

"Please..., don't hurt me." She pleaded with her two hands cupped together at her front and all of a sudden someone patted her back.

She froze instantly thinking that it was one of those guys, but the moment she twirled gently, she found Kate behind her.

She opened wild her eyes, placed her two hands on her chest and took a deep breath, she whispered, "Kate!..., what are you doing here?"

Kate saw the fear in her eyes so she smiled at her to motion for her to calm down, then placing her left arm on Cindy's shoulder she winked and asked, "What's going on here?"

As both of them looked at the guy standing in front of them, Cindy noticed that the menacing look on his face has fade away and those of his men behind him disappeared one by one at the sight of Kate.

"Haven't I warned you to stay away from my friends?" Kate asked

"I don't know she's your friend." He shrugged and continued, "Must you always show your ugly face?" He asked with a harsh voice.

"Dagger, I have given your answer to that question even before you ask... She is my friend and that's why I have to show my ugly face." Kate removed her arm from Cindy's shoulder and yelled at him as she paced back and front with an angry face.

"Can you leave now?" She asked.

Dagger nodded and left, Immediately Kate looked at Cindy and see how she was shivering, "Come, let me help you."

Saying that she put Cindy's arm around her neck and place her other arm behind her back, giving her support so that she would be able to walk into her room.

She threw herself on the bed and closed her eye to calm herself down as they entered her room.

'What really happened? Did she just save me from those guys? Who is she?' These were the question going on in Cindy's head, but then she opened her eyes the moment she heard Kate talking to her.

"Cindy listen to me," Kate took a deep breath and held Cindy's hands in hers, "They won't try to hurt you again, relax..., just be careful not to step on their toes and they won't come after you again, okay?" Kate asked and Cindy Nodded.

"Would you be able to visit the dancing group today?" Kate queried

"Yea..., but I have to shower and change into something better," Cindy said, stood up and went into the bathroom.

"Okay..., am waiting for you," Kate uttered happily.

Eduardo went to the college to meet his friend Donald.

It has been a long they both saw each other since Donald decided to be a lecturer.

After seeing each other Eduardo left Donald's office, reaching the second floor of the building he was busy with his phone when he saw a girl rushing in his direction but it was too late for him to dodge.

If he tries to dodge, she would fall and hurt herself because she was rushing and wasn't looking at where she was heading, so he quickly put his phone back in his pocket and held her slightly to stop her from falling.

Immediately she came back to her feet and he saw her face he felt so different, he had never felt like this in his entire life but whatever he felt was nice.

'Wow, she's beautiful and also looking innocent.'

He thought and that was when she looked up and saw him gawking at her, so he ran his finger through his hair and looked away when he noticed that he was making her uncomfortable.

So he had to leave there immediately before he start doing what his heart desired.

"What did you mean by that? Are you sure you searched very well?" Mr Black asked angrily.

"Well..., I and my men have searched for the person in the picture you send and I am assuring you that there's no face like that in the city so....,"

The leader of the group paused hearing his unaffected voice.

"Listen to me, don't give up, keep searching, she's somewhere out there." Mr Black insisted that they should keep on searching for Cindy.

"If you insist." The leader of the group said.

"Yes..., I insist." Mr Black let out a horrible smirk that echoed in the room and disconnected.

Mr Black went to bed that night but sleep was very far from his eye, the thought of how he was going to retain what was not legally his, stroked him just like lightning.

The memory of how he started his malevolent act against his brother came flooding into his mind.

All that he did then and he's still doing, is just the explanation of the phrase, that evil is like a seed and once it's been planted, it grows up to become a tree.
