Chapter 9 Trouble

Tasha woke up and stretched out her body, she saw Lili sleeping beside her, so she gave her a peck before walking to the bathroom.

Jay sat on the couch inside the huge tower, he was having breakfast when Carl walked in.

"Good morning Jay" He greeted before joining in for breakfast.

"Wassup man, can you get me some chocolates, cookies, and all those candy stuff," Jay said and Carl was confused.

"Why do you need all that?" Carl asked.

"Am going for a family dinner" Jay replied and Carl was shocked, is his family in the country? If yes then why did they not notify him?

"Is Mrs. Brown here?" Carl asked and Jay laughed.

"Nooo, I mean my family....my wife and child fool" Jay smirked and Carl just rolled his eyes.

"Forcing yourself in someone's life" Carl whispered.

"What did you say?" Jay asked and Carl just sighed.

"Jay it seems like you're forgetting why we are in this country, we are here for a movie, and shooting starts next week ....hope you're revising your script" Carl said out.

Jay went into a thinking mode, he needed to get Lili a role in his next movie.

"Carl, Is there a role that Lili could take ?" Jay asked and Carl thought for a while.

"Yes the director was currently looking for a young actress but Miss Myra had suggested her younger sister, Peculiar....the kid who took part in my friends and I" Carl explained and Jay had already lost concentration when he heard Myra's name.

Of course, he knew about Peculiar, she is a famous spoilt brat just like her sister.

She was famous in the entertainment industry.

"I want that role for Lili, am sure she is even a better actress than that peculiar of a girl" Jay hissed out angrily.

"Uhm....jay the role has been given to peculiar already, it's unfair to take it back " Carl stammered.

"Myra is always fun of taking others' roles and giving to her, so why is it wrong if we do the same? And tell the director that if he doesn't accept Lili then am out of the movie" Jay said angrily before picking an apple and walking away.

"What had come over him? Lili is not even his real daughter" Carl cursed out angrily before dialing the director's number.

Myra was home with her sister, Peculiar, who was 8 as well as Lili.

She had received a phone call from John the director telling her that a different role was given to peculiar.

"Peculiar" Myra called, about to inform her of the bad news.

"Pecutie " She corrected.

"Whatever, I have news for you....your role was given to a supposed someone..."

"What????"

"But....but, a different role was given to you, it's just a little line," Myra said trying not to anger her sister, because just like her, she was short-tempered.

"Why will John change my role? I had prepared for this already" Peculiar yelled angrily....now she felt pain and hate.

This was the same role her dad had taken from a different kid and given to her, now someone else is going to take the role from her. It was just funny.

"Peculiar I don't know who got the role but we could always talk to him," Myra said but Peculiar was already angry.

"That's my role and there is no negotiation, daddy...." peculiar went upstairs to find her dad.

"I could talk to Jay so he could help her," Myra thought before dialing Jay's number.

Jay saw her call and was irritated, he did not even want to hear her voice, the only thing he felt for her is disgust.

But he picked the call, for the sake of humanity.

"What do you want now?" Jay asked irritated.

📲"Jay am calling to ask for a favor please," Myra said with a pleading tone.

"A favor?" He scoffed " OK go on" he added.

📲" Peculiar role in the movie in which you're the lead actor, was given to someone else...can you help get her role back?" Myra asked and Jay laughed.

"The role was given to my daughter, and besides ....you had used your powers to get her the role, so I just did the same, " Jay said angrily then hung up.

Of course, Myra knew who his daughter was, only Tasha, Lili, and Suzy knew he was not Lili's dad, but everyone else in the country believe what Lili had made them believe.

"He did what? He gave the role to that b*ch daughter?" Myra said angrily.

She squeezed her phone angrily still not able to believe it.

It was evening, Lili and Tasha had spent the whole day at home doing laundry and different house chores.

They had dressed up already for dinner at Nathan's home.

Lili had already texted the address to Jay, she wore a loose gown and held her rabbit bag.

Tasha decided to wear a formal outfit since it was her first time going to Nathan's home, she wore a green tight fitting gown with low heels, and she had to put a scarf around her neck, trying to avoid catching attention with these big boobs of hers.

"Lili let's leave" Tasha yelled and Lili ran out of the room with a huge smile.

"Are you this happy to meet Pete?" Tasha asked and Lili kept smiling, sooner or later her mom would find out.

"Of course, he is my friend after all, and we are having a family dinner " Lili dragged her words that made Tasha confused, she just sighed and walked out.

She closed the door and kept her keys inside her back before walking down the road with Lili.

They took a cab and then showed the driver the address.

It was just a thirty minutes drive and they were standing in front of a huge mansion.

"Wow, are they this rich?" Tasha thought before walking to the gate.

A security guard let them inside, and Nathan stood by the stairs with Pete.

"Hello foodie" Lili greeted and Nathan smiled at her.

"Hi Tasha, hi Lili, am glad you honored my invitation," Nathan said with a wide smile.

"It's not as if we had any cho....."

"Thanks, it was a pleasure" Tasha stopped Lili halfway.

"Come in, " Nathan said and they walked in, wow the place was amazing and breathtaking.

Lili began to have doubts if she should let her mom marry Nathan instead. It had a huge chandelier at the center of the room, it illuminated yellow light all over the sitting room

It had two adjacent stairs all leading to the same balcony.

"Let's have dinner first then we can get to know each other," Nathan said while leading them to the dinner.

They all sat, and some maids were displaying the meal when he heard a knock on the main door.

"Did you invite someone else?" Nathan asked and Tasha nodded negative.

He walked to the door to check, he was not expecting anyone so who was it? Maybe it was the security.

He opened the door and saw a man back facing him.

"Hello," He called and the man turned to face him with a smile.

Nathan was shocked to see this man here, he glanced at his security guard and saw the guard seems to be in a shock state, still not able to believe that he had seen Jay Brown himself.

"Good evening, can I come in?" Jay asked and Nathan frowned.

"Why?" He asked.

" I thought you had invited us for dinner? My wife and child are already in...sorry am late" Jay said with a smile, he did not wait for Nathan to reply and he quickly walked in.

Lili ran to him.

"Daddy" Lili screamed then ran to hug Jay.

"Take this, it's for you and your friend" Jay handed the box of chocolate to her.

"Yay," She screamed happily and turned to see her mom's angry and confused look.

"Trouble" Lili whistled to Jay.

Tasha decided to calm herself down since she was at Nathan's place, she did not want to leave a crazy mom expression.

Jay smiled at Tasha before giving a warning glare to Nathan, Nathan was not backing off, so he also sent him a warning glare.

They all sat at the table while having dinner.

Jay kept giving secret signals to Lili, Lili was trying so hard to understand what he meant.

He kept staring at her mom's bag and then stared at the door.

"Did he want me to throw mom bag out of the door?" Lili thought before keep looking at him to understand what he wants.

Tasha turned to face Jay and he smiled quickly at her.

They were done with dinner and decided to have a little talk in the sitting room.

Tasha left her bag on the dining and walked behind Nathan.

Jay now had the chance to talk to Lili.

"I said get your mom keys" Jay whispered to her.

"Huh....why? She asked confused.

"I got you a role already," He said and that was enough to make Lili do what he wants, she nodded and they both walked to the sitting room.

"Tasha you can sit here," Nathan said pointing at the seat beside him.

"And where will I sit?" Jay asked angrily.

Tasha smiled and was about to go sit beside Nathan when Lili rushed there.

"Mom I will sit here, you sit beside Jay," Lili said and Tasha frowned before sitting beside the smiling Jay.

Nathan was furious, but he was good at hiding his feelings.

"Are you both married?" Nathan asked.

"No"

"Yes"

"Yes"

Jay and Lili both said yes in unison, Tasha gave a hard glare to the both of them.

"We are not married, and more shockingly ...I don't know him," Tasha said and Jay just sighed, he knew it won't be easy.

He stared at Lili then raised an eye Brow.

*cough*

Lili coughed before standing up.

"I will get water" Lili rushed to the dining and Jay smiled, she was such a great actress.

Lili walked to Tasha's bag and pulled out her keys.

She walked to Jay and was about to hand him the key when it fell.

It made a clipping sound almost grabbing everyone's attention when Lili yelled while pointing at the door.

They all turned to look at the door when Jay picked up the keys faster and kept them in his pocket before sighing in relief.

"What's in the door that made you yell?" Tasha asked.

"I thought I saw a ghost," Lili said and no one seemed to believe her.

"Same here," Jay said and Tasha gasped in shock.
