CHAPTER 5: LEAVE HER!

"LEAVE HER!!"

I heard someone shout and turned around.

I turned slowly to see who it was that had come to my rescue. I saw several men surrounding me, and one of them had grabbed my arm. I struggled to break free, but it was no use. I was outnumbered and overpowered. I was being attacked by a group of strange men when I heard that voice. Alpha Garrett, was fighting them off with all his might.

Suddenly, Alpha Garrett appeared out of nowhere. He was obviously mad at me, and I could see the anger in his eyes as he fought off the men. His punches were swift and deadly, and I watched in awe as he took down the attackers one by one. I noticed the veins on his arms bulging with strength, and his chest heaving with every breath. I saw a man with a broad chest and muscles. I was so relieved that help had come for me.

Alpha Garrett turned swiftly, his features seemed to glow in the midnight. He moved closer to me and simply pulled me away from the man's grip. They were too shocked to first move until one of the men roared at him.

"What's your problem?! Who the hell do you think you are to stop our fun?"

"Fun indeed..." The muscular man dragged his words. "Why don't you have fun with me instead," he grinned but the men cowered.

"Come on," he said as he continued to move toward the men. I used that opportunity to crawl far away from where the fight was taking place.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I apologized even when shook his head telling me not to apologize, I didn't stop.

I sat on the floor, wrapping my hands around myself as tightly as I could. I felt the shivers hovering up my spine alongside my heart's heavy beatings. I watched the brave man, Alpha Garrett- my 'owner', as he fought all those men till they all ran away.

He turned towards me,

"Can you walk?" He asked stretching his long white fingers in my direction. I simply nodded my head gently to show that I agreed.

Although I nodded, Alpha Garrett still went over to carry me in princess style. He picked me up, his strong arms enveloping me and he ran off with me.

"I said I can walk," I spoke in a hoarse voice.

"I heard you but I didn't agree, you're my mate and you shouldn't be seen walking almost naked on the streets,"

I moved my eyes to examine my body and realized that I was almost naked. Those men had torn my dress, and part of my breast was even opened. I pulled my dress up before turning my face away so he wouldn't see my embarrassed red face but he saw it anyway.

Finally, he carried me off my feet and away from the danger. I could feel his hot breath on my neck, and I knew he was angry with me.

As we ran, I couldn't help but notice his features. His chest was heaving with anger and exertion. His eyes, which I usually found mesmerizing, were now glowing with a fierce intensity. His hair was a tousled mess, but it only added to his dangerous appeal.

Once we had made it back to the pack house, Alpha Garrett put me down, but he didn't let me go just yet. I was being dragged along by Alpha Garrett, my heart pounding in my chest. I had just tried to run away from him, only to be attacked by a group of rogues on my way out of the territory. Garrett had saved me, but he didn't seem too happy about it.

As we entered his chambers, he let go of my arm and turned to me, his eyes flashing with anger. "What were you thinking? Running away like that? Did you really think you could escape me?"

I swallowed hard, my throat dry with fear. "I...I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't stay there any longer, I had to get out."

Garrett stared at me, a mixture of disdain and curiosity in his eyes. "You're quite the adventurous one, aren't you? It's a shame you don't have any common sense. You would have been killed out there if it weren't for me."

He walked towards me, his steps deliberate and measured. I stepped back, my heart racing. He was so much taller and stronger than me, I didn't stand a chance against him.

He seemed to read my thoughts and smirked. "Don't even think about trying anything stupid. I could snap you in half with one blow if I wanted to."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "You don't scare me. I have powers of my own, you know."

He chuckled darkly. "Is that so? Well, it doesn't matter. Your powers won't do you any good in here."

With that, he grabbed my wrist and dragged me to the far end of the room, where a heavy door loomed in the darkness. He pushed me inside and slammed the door shut, locking it from the outside.

I was left alone in pitch-black darkness, the only sound being the echoes of my own breathing.

I tried to use my powers to break out, but they seemed to be weaker than usual. I didn't know why, maybe it was because of the shock of being captured by Garrett.

He came back a few hours later, bringing me some food and water. I was too scared to even eat, but he forced me to.

After that, he left again, and I was alone once more. Except this time, I was determined to use my powers to break free.

I concentrated hard, feeling my energy surge through my veins. I pressed my hands against the walls of my cell, using all my strength to try and force them apart.

But it was no use. The walls were too thick, and my powers were too weak. I slumped to the ground in defeat, feeling hopeless and helpless.

Garrett came back soon after, looking at me with a mix of pity and annoyance. "Did you really think you could escape from me? You're a fool."

I glared at him, feeling a surge of anger building up inside me. "I'm not a fool. And I won't be treated like a prisoner forever. I'll get out of here one way or another."

He laughed derisively. "Good luck with that. You're stuck here with me, whether you like it or not."

I gritted my teeth, ready to retort, but he cut me off. "And by the way, I don't hit ladies. But if you keep up this insolence, I might have to make an exception for you."

I rolled my eyes, refusing to back down. "Like I care. You can't keep me here forever. Eventually, someone will come looking for me."

He shook his head. "Not likely. You're on your own now, Ariadne. And if you don't learn to obey me, you'll regret it."

Just as he was about to grab me, a voice called out from outside the door. "Garrett! Oh dear, leave her be!"
