Chapter 4 LEAVE HER

CHAPTER 4

ALPHA GARRETT'S POV

My gaze roved over to Mr Hutchinson who sat beside me, his face seemed to be wrapped in a smile. The man was probably thinking he had gained by selling his daughter to me but little did he know that the reverse was the case. With Ariadne, I could become more powerful than I am now. With such power, I could spread my territory and dominate many other packs. I would grow the largest and most powerful pack in the whole continent.

I turned with eagerness at the back view of the chariot in which Ariadne was in. I watched as the driver gripped the reigns tighter and the horses fixed to the chariot neighed as they ran faster. Tonight I would take the bull by it's horns, I will mark Ariadne as my own so as to seal the mate-bond between us, I will make her my Luna before the entire pack.

After sealing the mate bond, I could then know her movement and will be able to fetch her out of wherever she hides in in the future. I continued to fetch out plans for how I would mate with her, my wolf howled with enthusiasm as I now felt fully hardened.

The rest of the drive to the pack house was silent, the only sounds I could hear was the rickety sound of the wooden tires of the chariot as it drove in the direction of the pack house. The gigantic metal gate chimed open as our chariots leapt in driving slowly in the direction of the parking area. I could already see several chariots parked from afar as I waited with anxiety as the chariot was parked. I took the knob of the inner side of the door as I pulled it open and jumped out of the chariot within using the short stairs arranged for going in and out of the chariot.

I waited as the chariot in which Ariadne was in as it parked at a side, I rushed in the chariot's direction as I whiffed in so e air into my lungs. I adjusted my messy hair to look sexy as I tried to force out a seductive look on my face but failed woefully. I walked toward the side of the chariot and gripped the Kno as I pulled it open with the hope of seeing Ariadne. I was shocked at what I saw.

Ariadne was nowhere to be found, the chariot was empty. Shock swirled in my stomach as I wiped my eyes just to be sure that what I was seeing was real. Nervous sweats clouded my entire forehead as my heart quickened. I wipped off the sweats and opened my lips and bawled out loud, "Guards."

Then.

An army of guards all bracketed me in a circle with fully equipped bodies, they all looked into the chariot in surprise. I turned to guards and finally broke the air, "We have a witch to go after."

They all stared back at me with a look which told me indirectly that they didn't understand what I am saying. I watched as the door to the carriage I came in was opened and Mr Hutchinson walked in my direction.

"What happened," he asked as I exclaimed with anger, "Your goddamn daughter ran off again."

"How did she get loose again, she was in the chariot all throughout," he prodded. "She couldn't have gotten out."

"Wherever she is, I am going to fetch her out and once I do that she will be punished."

ARIADNE'S POV

I continued running off and off- off into the dark secret path I knew led to the border which demarcated the red ice pack from the Cold moon pack where Alpha Garrett wouldn't be able to reach to. There, I would start a new life entirely, bear a new name and probably live my life to the fullest. I jolted back from my thoughts as I paused when I got near to the huge gates. From afar, I saw men dressed in the Nightfall pack's uniform, they all stood at alert, heavily equiped.

I ran into a corner to avoid being stopped and asked questions that will later make them identify me. As I waited, I heard the roughly dragged sounds of footsteps as I watched a guard walked past the corner I was in as he walked in the direction of the guards at the border.

From afar, I could hear their voices, "How are you doing brother," they exchanged pleasantries in a brotherly tone.

"I heard the Luke, the chief in command has organized a meeting for an information he would like to pass to us." The guard's voice chimed. That meeting has to be about me, he probably wanted to tell them to investigate closely and know the people going in and out of the pack.

"Ok, let's quickly head there." The guard's at the gate all chorused as one prodded.

"The gate will be locked." They said and followed each other as they went in the direction the guard had come from, I heaved out a relieved sigh as I tried to calm my unsteady breathing.

Now that's my catch.

I ran out and ran in the direction of the gate with the speed of lightning, now I can't risk loosing this opportunity. I got to the gate and dipped my hands in my pockets as I brought out my lock picking key as I dipped the key in the key hole of the Locke's as I snapped it open. The lock made a clang, one that was very loud. I opened the gate and ran off into the other side.

I was not yet in the Cold moon pack but I could see the festive lanterns from afar as I ran as fast as my thin legs could carry me. I kept on running as I finally stopped at the gates of the Cold moon pack's gate.

"Who are you and what are you looking for in our pack." A guard asked as I spoke, "I am-" no sooner had I started talking, a guards licked his lips sexily at me.

"She is probably a harlot from the Red ice pack looking for sexual pleasing." I was interrupted by the guards as they opened the gate and kept on walking towards me.

"W..what the-" I was saying as an hand caught my mouth and my head was swayed in a direction as my hair was dragged roughly. Pain, now in waves washed through me as my gaze beamed on the guard who had wink sexily at me a second ago.

"Ain't she pretty," a voice came from the background as the zipper of my dress was pulled down. I fought desperately- despairingly, trying to move but many hands held me. The pain which came from my scull was intensifying, now had I just regretted the idea of fleeing.

"LEAVE HER!"
