The man smirked with a slight mock. "I don't like jokes nor do I leave the liars." His accent turned wrathful which left me trembling with fear.
"Your body language dictates that you wouldn't even have known the name of this." He uttered with a mocking chuckle and I sensed a peel of laughter all around him.
"Sir, this is mine. Please let me go!" I uttered in a low trembling voice.
Carlos uttered with his tone unwavering, "You expect me to believe that? In my territory, there are no accidents. Speak quickly, for your time is running out."
My throat constricted, fear gripping me tightly. The authoritative voice of Carlos sent shivers down my spine, leaving me momentarily speechless.
"Do you have any idea, where are you standing? You are in the territory of the ruthless infamous billionaire mafia Lord, Lord Carlos!" His words played to serve as a calling of danger for my soul. I was left unbelievable about the situation, my bloodshot eyes were left wide open and my throat choked. I was now sure that Carlos' territory was a dangerous place he had unknowingly stumbled upon.
I struggled to find words, "Sir, please... I was just trying to deliver the products... I made a mistake. I didn't know this was your territory. I didn't mean any harm."
Carlos' lips escaped a peal of mocking laughter, his voice laced with menace, "A mistake? How convenient. Do you think I would believe such a feeble excuse? Your presence here is no coincidence, Justin. There are no mistakes when it comes to crossing my path."
My heart pounded in my chest as I struggled to maintain composure in the face of Carlos' relentless interrogation.
I struggled hard to speak up to the audible volume, my voice filled with desperation, "I swear, Sir Carlos, I had no intention of intruding or causing trouble. I was just following the directions I was given, trying to make a living for my family. Please, let me go. I won't make this mistake again."
Carlos progressed closer toward me with slow humming steps, his voice dripping with threat, "Your words mean nothing to me, Justin. You have trespassed onto my territory, and that comes with consequences. Do you think a simple apology will erase the intrusion? You are gravely mistaken."
My affright intensified as Carlos' words echoed in my ears. I realized the depth of the danger I had unwittingly stumbled into, trapped within the clutches of the ruthless drug lord himself.
"So, as you told me that you sell these packages, it means you are an individual drug seller!" Carlos' voice laced up with devious intentions.
I retorted with a weak nod. "How innocent you are, such a small-scale, concealed business! Be with me, the entire drug mafia Lord!" And the crowd around gave appreciative applause as if all of them were his pet dogs.
I spoke barely in a whisper, "Mr. Carlos, I beg you. Spare me. Spare my family. I will do anything, anything you ask. Just let me go."
Carlos smirking, his voice chillingly calm, "Anything, you say? That is an interesting proposition. Perhaps there is some use for you yet, Justin. But make no mistake, you are mine now. Your fate rests solely in my hands."
My heart sank as the weight of Carlos' words settled upon me. I had unwittingly become a pawn in a game I never wanted to play, trapped within the clutches of a man known for his merciless ways.
"Bring him to me. I have to assign him his work if he is lucky or else, he will be thrown into the dungeon as a slave!" Carlos uttered with his voice laced with wrath and an ironic smile, leaving my heart pounding in my chest. A sigh of helplessness escaped my lips.
I was taken via the winding corridors, lined with peeling paint and faded graffiti. The sounds of muffled conversations and distant footsteps echoed through the passageways, heightening my sense of unease.
As the figure guided me deeper into the heart of the den, the sights and sounds intensified. Men with hardened expressions and bulging muscles stood guard, their presence a stark reminder of the dangers that lurked within. The air grew thick with tension as if the very walls whispered tales of treachery and violence.
Finally, we reached a heavy steel door, guarded by two imposing figures armed to the teeth. The figure accompanying me exchanged a few words with them in hushed tones before stepping aside, allowing Justin to pass.
"So, for whom do you sell these drugs?" Carlos put forward a question with his lips tightened with an ironic smirk.
"For a small drug mafia!" i whispered in a low tone.
"Ah! For the reason that you already belong to a dark world, it's not going to be a big deal for you to step into mine and work for me!" His words marked the wrath that went through my spine.
"Still, you would have to go through a few rounds of tests and pass if you are eligible enough to work for me since you don't seem to be capable enough!" I sensed a peel of laughter around.
"Remember! There is no way to escape! I own you now!"
