Chapter 2 THE MEAN GIRLS

Sophie after attending class for a few days, still did not talk to anyone of her mates. Sophie had noticed a group of girls who always seemed to be whispering and giggling whenever she walked into the class.They were popular and everyone knew who they were.But they also seemed to be judgmental of everyone around them. These attitude of theirs had made Sophie feel so down of herself because she thought it will be hard to associate with the girls because they were always making jest of her whenever she walked in the class so Sophie always kept to herself and had no friend.

One day,Sophie walked past them in the hallway and heard them say something mean about her.She felt so embarrassed and hurt.But she also realized that their cruel words revealed more about them than about her.Sophie got home that day and immediately went to her room,flung her school bag and started crying.Her mom kept knocking at her door to know what went wrong but to no avail.Sophie cried all through till evening and then eventually fell asleep.Sophie woke up the next morning and the thought of what had happened the previous day made her think of not going to school but she finally decided to go after giving it a second thought
