Chapter 8
Ciara and Jordan's passionate encounter left them both longing for each other's embrace. Filled with a renewed sense of love and forgiveness, she decided to give their relationship another chance. Determined to make things work this time, they picked up right where they had left off, pouring their hearts into each other and rebuilding the trust that had been shattered.
However, little did Ciara know that their reunion is still built under lies and deceits as Jordan didn't tell her about his sex escapades with Natalie when they were apart.
Natalie, who had secretly harboured feelings for Jordan, stumbled upon the sight of Ciara and Jordan together. Anger and jealousy coursed through her veins as she watched them laughing and holding each other, completely unaware of her presence.
Natalie's heart sank as she realised that Ciara and Jordan had rekindled their relationship so soon after their previous breakup. The sight of them together, so happy and carefree, intensified the anger and jealousy within her. It felt like a betrayal, as if her own feelings for Jordan had been disregarded entirely.
Determined to break them apart once again, Natalie plotted her next move. She knew she had to be careful and calculated, as any misstep could reveal her true intentions and ruin any chances she had with Jordan. She needed a plan that would create doubt and uncertainty, driving a wedge between Ciara and Jordan without implicating herself.
Along the line, Natalie observed Ciara and Jordan closely, searching for any vulnerabilities in their relationship. She noticed that while they seemed happy on the surface, there were moments when they appeared distant and preoccupied. Natalie decided to exploit those moments of doubt to her advantage.
Using her knowledge of Jordan's interests, Natalie strategically positioned herself as a confidant. She would strike up casual conversations with him, subtly planting seeds of doubt about Ciara's commitment. She would mention how surprised she was that Ciara had moved on so quickly, emphasising her doubts about the sincerity of their reconciliation.
As time passed, Natalie's hatred for Ciara worsened, especially when she saw them together.
On one occasion, she met Ciara alone in an eatery. And she approached her with a sneer, her eyes filled with malicious intent. She had always been envious of Ciara's relationship with Jordan, and now she saw an opportunity to exploit Ciara's vulnerability.
As Ciara sat alone at a corner table in the eatery, enjoying her meal, she had no idea what was about to unfold. Natalie strutted over.
"You think you're so special, don't you?" Natalie taunted, her voice dripping with disdain. "Jordan deserves someone better than you. He needs someone like me."
Ciara's heart sank, and she felt the weight of Natalie's words crush her spirit. She had always struggled with self-confidence, and Natalie's bullying only intensified her insecurities.
Attempting to maintain her composure, Ciara replied, her voice quivering slightly, "Natalie, what do you want from me? Can't you just let me be?"
Natalie laughed mockingly, her eyes narrowing with contempt. "Let you be? Oh, Ciara, you really are clueless, aren't you? Jordan deserves someone who can actually make him happy. Someone who isn't a pathetic loser like you."
The words cut deep, but Ciara refused to let Natalie see her break down. She took a deep breath and forced herself to respond with strength. "Jordan chose me, Natalie. He loves me for who I am, and I won't let your jealousy destroy what we have."
Natalie's laughter grew louder, drawing the attention of other diners in the eatery. She leaned in closer, her voice lowering to a venomous whisper. "Oh, he may have chosen you for now, but I'll make sure he realises what a mistake that was. He'll see that I'm the one who truly deserves him."
"And, Ciara, you have no idea what I'm capable of. Jordan will be mine, mark my words," she hissed, her voice dripping with venom. "You're nothing but a pathetic obstacle, and I won't rest until you're out of the picture."
Ciara's eyes flickered with a mix of anger and hurt, but she refused to let Natalie's taunts consume her completely. She straightened her back, summoning all her strength, and declared, "I won't let you destroy what Jordan and I have. You can try all you want, but love doesn't work that way. True connections are built on trust and respect, not manipulation."
Natalie let out a loud laughter after Ciara said those words, knowing fully well her secret affairs with Jordan and she was tempted to tell Ciara in order to spite her the most.
But Natalie also knew that exposing her sexual escapades with Jordan at this moment would only further complicate matters. She understood that revealing the details of their intimate encounters might alienate Jordan rather than attract him. Her plans had to be executed with precision, and timing was crucial.
Suppressing the urge to unleash the devastating secret, Natalie decided to focus her attention on Ciara instead. Reminding her how she's capable of getting Jordan for herself alone.
"You can try all you want, Natalie, but Jordan isn't someone you can just claim for yourself," Ciara said, her voice quivering slightly. "He'll see through your games, just like everyone else eventually does."
Natalie's eyes narrowed, her grip on control tightening. Deep down, she knew Ciara was right. Jordan wasn't easily swayed by empty promises or superficial attractions. It was precisely why Natalie had resorted to such tactics-she wanted to ensure that Ciara's position in Jordan's life was eradicated completely.
With those defiant words, Ciara turned away from Natalie, leaving her seething with anger. Natalie watched her rival retreat, vowing silently to herself that she would find a way to get Jordan for herself. She would do everything within her power to cause commotion between him and Ciara and prove to him that she was the one who truly deserves him.
For now, though, Natalie realised that patience was her most potent weapon. Timing would be everything, and she couldn't afford to make any missteps. She would bide her time, continuing her calculated pursuit of Jordan, all while keeping the illicit details of their past locked away.
As Natalie walked away from the eatery, her mind raced with strategies and plots, her desire to accomplish her mission fuels her every step. Ciara may have held her ground for now, but Natalie was determined to make her regret the day she ever crossed paths with Jordan.
