"I don't want to join you," Yuli said easily. She glanced at Morin for a moment, before finally going back to playing on her cell phone, which made Morin snort rudely.
"Yes, I'll treat you later. Free face," Morin snapped.
Yuli looked back at Morin, her smile now growing wider. "That's right, treat a friend once in a while." Yuli chuckled.
They walked towards the cafeteria leisurely. The current state of the canteen was crowded, all rows of hungry humans had packed the place. Plus, with today's empty hours, the canteen felt like a traditional market.
"It's so crowded, I'm lazy," Yuli said while showing a sullen look on her face.
"Let's go to the library!" said Morin.
"That's what I call accompanying you to read a book," said Yuli, annoyed, her eyeballs rolling after her lips clucked.
"How about it? Do you want to? Do you want to?"
"Yes." Reluctantly, Yuli replied briefly, even though she was actually too lazy to go to the library.
Morin and Yuli now began to move towards the library, which was quite far from the cafeteria. The library was located next to the student affairs room, in front of the garden. Therefore, students can read books in the garden. The cozy and spacious place makes the atmosphere of the library more beautiful with the arrangement of various kinds of books.
"Do you want to borrow a book?" asked Morin.
"I'll borrow it, how come I have to wait for you to read a book here, I'm a statue that can stay still for a long time," said Yuli grumpily.
Yuli does not have the hobby of reading. According to her, reading books is an activity that makes her sleepy. Novels, comics, and short stories, which are collections of interesting books to read, are also books that Yuli does not want to read. Moreover, textbooks are full of formulas and history. She can only copy Morin's homework every day.
Meanwhile, Morin is still choosing some books to read in the garden in front of the library. Morin saw a book that had an interesting cover. She approached, and she was about to take the book.
And then ...
Morin and Alizter held the book simultaneously, it made Morin suddenly awkward around that boy, even though yesterday they had also walked together. She doesn't know where that boy suddenly found himself in the same place as Morin. Lately, they also often meet accidentally. Either in the cafeteria, library, or maybe the school medical room. Morin's feelings were suddenly very frantic.
"For you," said Alizter while handing a book to Morin.
"No, just for you, I already have a lot," Morin explained as she showed several books in her hand.
Yuli was in a different book aisle from Morin. Until Yuli heard her best friend talking to someone, she approached out of curiosity.
"Alizter, are you here alone?" asked Yuli. "Are you with your friend? But where? How come there's no one? Are you following me and Morin, or what? Come on, admit it!"
Alizter was confused about what Yuli said. He was confused about what to answer, and Yuli's mouth, which continued to chatter, made Alizter even more confused. Not long after that, Dio suddenly came from behind and approached the three of them who were in the main hallway, precisely at the bookshelf of best-selling novels.
"What a duck's mouth, just blabbing," Dio said sarcastically. He looked at Yuli, who was now staring at him with appreciative eyes.
"You're the one with the duck's mouth, coming in all of a sudden and getting angry, you bastard!" Yuli replied with a scathing remark that surpassed Dio's.
"Alright, this is a library, not a market. Can't you two shut up?" Morin, who was tired of hearing Yuli and Dio's arguments, immediately reprimanded them. She gave each of them a sharp look.
"Well, I know that this is a library," Yuli pleaded in her defense.
"So what are you fighting about?" asked Morin sharply.
"He was angry and incoherent."
Alizter just silently listened to the babble after babble from the mouths of all of them, sometimes smiling sweetly in between the commotion. Morin also occasionally glanced over and noticed Alizter smiling. In her opinion, the boy's good looks doubled when he made an arch on his lips.
"Let's go to the park, let's just read a book there, instead of having demons wandering around here." Yuli immediately pulled Morin's arm after giving Dio a sharp look.
"Can I join you?" asked Alizter. His words made the movement of Morin and Yuli's feet stop. The two of them exchanged glances for a moment.
"Yes," said Morin briefly, and she began to walk out of the library.
"Why don't you come along, parrot mouth. Just go away!" Yuli shouted, shooing Dio away.
"Alizter is coming, I have to, he's my friend." Dio defended himself.
They walked to the garden in front of the library. There were also many chairs and tables for reading books. Shady trees and colorful flowers also decorated the garden. Not to forget, garden lights to illuminate at night also added to the place, which seemed very beautiful. Their arrival was greeted with various species of butterflies that were flapping their wings, going here and there, approaching the blooming of fragrant flowers.
"It looks cozy here, under the trees," suggested Yuli.
"Yes, I agree with you," said Morin while raising the thumb of her right hand.
"What book are you reading?" Morin asked Alizter, who had been busy flipping through the pages of the book.
Alizter only looked at Morin for a moment and continued reading her book.
"About you," Alizter replied briefly without shifting his eyes, which were still paying attention to the pages of the book.
"Wow, really sweet shows, did you hear that?" Yuli chuckled, looking at Morin's face.
"Uh no. I mean, I read the book, the title is about you," Alizter explained.
Morin had actually been upset by Alizter's words earlier. Her heart felt very accepting of the boy's words. But, she was a little disappointed. Morin's faint smile formed.
"I thought you were thinking about Morin," Yuli muttered.
Alizter shook his head, and as usual, he also smiled a little. Without realizing it, they had been in the park for over an hour.
"Let's go back to class," invited Dio while looking at Alizter flatly. He walked quickly first, making Alizter quicken his pace. And when he passed Morin, Alizter deliberately whispered a word in the girl's ear.
"Beautiful."
Instantly, Morin's whole body stiffened and became immobilized, sweat suddenly pouring out of her temples. Morin jumped in surprise at the word. The boy's words continued to play in her head. The words were clear and concise, but they were very difficult to think about. This time, Morin's brain was very confused, imagining things that she shouldn't be thinking about.
"Morin, are you listening to me?" Yuli tapped Morin on the shoulder. She blinked her eyes and immediately looked to the side.
"Uh what?"
"What are you thinking about, daydreaming all this time? Is there a problem?"
"Nothing, let's go back to class!"
Somehow today was the strangest day, in Morin's opinion. Several feelings mixed together. However, it was this day that made Morin feel very happy. The reason was only one, Alizter.
