Chapter 4 Nanny

"Daddy!" the kids shouted immediately they saw Damien and ran to him, they were just coming back from school.

"My treasures" Damien smiled and hugged them one after the other.

"How was school?" he asked, carrying Flora on his laps.

"It was fine" Flora smiled, playing with Damien's hair.

"Well Dad it was okay except the fact that I'm hungry right now" Freddie pouted.

"Foodie" Kathy rolled her eyes before facing Damien.

"It was not fine, there is this girl that got me annoyed" Kathy frowned.

"What happened?" Damien asked.

"She...." Kathy trailed off when she saw Sylvia who was just coming from the kitchen, a frown appeared on her face immediately.

"Dad, what is she doing here" She asked, still frowning and Damien trailed her eyes to where she was staring at and he coughed nervously when he saw she was staring at Sylvia who was already looking at them.

"Dad why is she here?" Flora asked also staring at Sylvia.

"Errr..she is your new nanny" he dropped the bomb.

"We don't want a nanny!" The kids yelled.

"Guys I'm sorry but you need someone to take care of you" Damien explained.

"We don't need anyone to take care of us, we can take care of ourselves" Kathy said and rushed upstairs.

"Kids.." Damien tried saying.

"We don't want a nanny" Flora said before going upstairs, Freddie also followed her and Damien sighed.

Sylvia who was watching them sighed sadly and thought of going to call them for lunch.

"I will go and call them for lunch" she told Damien.

"They won't answer you" Damien shook his head.

"I should try at least" Sylvia shrugged before going upstairs to Freddie's room first, she knocked on the door.

"Hey Freddie" Sylvia muttered.

"What do you want?" Freddie asked from inside.

"Lunch is ready, I made pancakes" she said and his eyes widened.

"Pancakes! Gosh I love pancakes but I have got to play hard to get" Freddie thought.

"I'm not hungry, leave" he said.

"Please Fred" she pleaded.

"No"

"Okay, but you know you are going to get hungry if you don't eat and just so you know the pancakes are very delicious, you won't wanna miss it" she smiled, knowingly.

"Fine, I'm coming downstairs" Freddie replied, he couldn't resist the urge to taste the pancakes.

"Okay, meet you downstairs" she smiled and walked away to Flora's room.

"Little Angel" she knocked on the door but got no reply.

"Hey Flora" she said again.

"What" Flora replied from inside.

"Lunch is ready"

"I'm not hungry" Flora said and laid on her bed in the room.

"I know you are hungry but you are just annoyed..please don't starve yourself cause of that" Sylvia muttered, expecting a reply but she got none, she sighed before going to Kathy's room.

"Kathy" she knocked on Kathy's door but got no response.

"Hey Kathy, I just want to tell you that lunch is ready" she said again but got no reply.

"Kathy..."

"Leave me alone!" Kathy yelled from inside the room.

"Come downstairs for lunch, please" Sylvia pleaded.

"I'm not hungry, leave me alone!" Kathy yelled again and Sylvia sighed before heading downstairs.

When she got to the living room, Damien was not there again and she met Freddie already at the dining, sitting.

"You are here already" Sylvia smiled.

"Yes I'm hungry" Freddie mumbled.

"Okay, let me serve your food" She said and started serving him some pancakes, she was still serving when Flora walked in.

"Flora you are here?, Please have your seat" Sylvia told Flora and she sat down.

"Wow! pancakes" Flora giggled happily and Sylvia served her some pancakes too and they both began eating.

"Hmm the pancake is so delicious" Freddie moaned as he rushed it.

"Calm down, there is still more if you want" Sylvia chuckled.

"Really!" Freddie exclaimed.

"Yeah" Sylvia nodded before pouring some milk for them.

"I want more" Freddie said immediately he was done eating the pancakes on his plate.

"Me too" Flora said.

"Sure" Sylvia smiled and served them another one and they continued eating.

Damien came downstairs and was surprised when he saw his children eating, he smiled.

"I'm going to the office, I have something important to do" Damien said.

"Okay dad" The kids replied and went back to their food.

"Please take care of them" Damien said to Sylvia.

"I will sir" Sylvia replied and he nodded and walked out of the house.

"Seems it won't be so hard" Damien thought as he entered his car then he drove off.

IN THE MANSION

"The pancakes were so delicious, it's being a while since I had it, I wish I can eat it more often" Freddie grinned, they were already done eating.

"Me too" Flora agreed with him.

"You guys can but please give this to Kathy" Sylvia said to Freddie and put some pancakes into a plate, she covered it with another before giving it to Freddie.

"I'm not sure she would eat it" Flora muttered.

"We have to try and guys please convince her to eat it" Sylvia pleaded.

"What are we going to get in return?" Flora furrowed her eyebrows.

"What if I say there is still some pancakes left and if you can get her to eat it, I would give you guys the pancakes" Sylvia smiled.

"Really!" Their eyes beamed.

"Yes" she nodded.

"Okay, we are in" Freddie and Flora giggled before quickly rushing upstairs.

"Careful" Sylvia said after them and smiled.

She took the plates to the kitchen and washed them before keeping them in their rightful places.

****KATHY'S ROOM****

"Hey Kathy, we've got something for you" Freddie said as both him and Flora walked into the room.

"What's that?" Kathy asked, lying on her bed.

"This" Flora said and Freddie opened the plate.

"Wow pancakes! " Kathy exclaimed as she quickly sat up on the bed, she collected it from him. She took a piece and was about eating it when she stopped.

"Who made it?" She asked.

"Aunt Sylvia" Flora said and she quickly dropped it back before pushing the plate away.

"I don't want it" Kathy frowned.

"Come on..eat it, I know you are hungry" Flora said.

"I'm not" Kathy snapped.

"Okay if you say you are not hungry, just have a bite, it's really delicious" Freddie licked his lips.

"Seriously, you guys are not serious, we are supposed to be planning on how to make her leave and you guys are here eating her food" Kathy hissed and rolled her eyes.

"She is not that bad" Flora said and jumped on the bed.

"What do you know, you are just four years old" Kathy snapped at Flora.

"So, I still have sense" Flora rolled her eyes.

"You guys should stop and Kathy eat the food already" Freddie said and also got on the bed.

"I'm not eating anything that was cooked by her" Kathy muttered.

"Come on.."
