Chapter 2 Job

"They both taste good" Damien said and went back to his food.

"But dad there must be one that is better" Kathy furrowed her eyebrows.

"Can we forget about it and go back to our food" Damien said.

"Fine" Kathy rolled her eyes and went back to her food.

Minutes later, they were done eating so Sylvia packed the plates and took it to the kitchen, she started doing the dishes. When she was done, she cleaned her hand with the napkin before walking out of the kitchen.

"Thanks aunt Sylvia for the food, it was nice" Flora smiled at her.

"You are welcome" Sylvia ruffled her hair and she giggled, Damien seeing this, smiled cause it was the first time he saw Flora was free with a woman except his sister.

"Thanks also Aunt Sylvia, I wish you can continue cooking for us everyday" Freddie pouted.

"I don't think that can happen and I think I need to start going, it's getting late" Sylvia said.

"Yeah, I will drive you home" Damien said.

"Sure" Sylvia nodded.

"Kids, I will be back" Damien said and started heading towards the door.

"Okay" the kids replied.

"Bye kids" Sylvia bade them goodbye before following Damien.

"Bye Aunt" Flora and Freddie replied.

Sylvia and Damien walked out of the house and went to the car, they got in and Damien started driving while Sylvia gave him the directions to her place.

Minutes later, they got to her place.

"Thanks for the ride" She thanked him and he nodded.

"Errr...Sylvia thanks for today, I really appreciate" he appreciated.

"It's nothing" she smiled.

"I wanted to ask if..you could be my kids nanny"

"Errr..." she went silent.

"Please, I will pay any amount " he pleaded and Sylvia thought of it, she has no job and he said he will be paying a good amount, she really likes the kids so she thought of agreeing.

"Okay, I was jobless anyway" she smiled.

"Thanks, just say any amount and I will pay" he said.

"I will think of it, I need to go now " she smiled and opened the door.

"Wait, can you start tomorrow? please" he asked.

"Okay" she replied.

"I will send my driver to come pick you up by 10"

"Sure I need to get going now" she said and got down from the car feeling glad that she had got a job.

Damien watched as she walked into the house before driving away.

"Mum, I'm home!" Sylvia yelled as she entered the house.

"I'm in the kitchen" Mrs Blanco replied from the kitchen and Sylvia walked to the kitchen.

"Hey mum" she said to her mum who was doing the dishes.

"How was your day? Did you find a job?" Mrs Blanco asked.

"Yes, as a nanny" Sylvia replied walking to the fridge to take water cause she was feeling thirsty.

"That's good but does that mean you will be leaving this house?" Mrs Blanco asked.

"Unfortunately yes" Sylvia replied and took a large gulp from the water.

"Okay" Mrs Blanco nodded sadly before going back to the dishes.

"Mum..come on, don't be sad, I promise to always check up on you" Sylvia hugged her from the back.

"I know that but I'm sad that you will be leaving me alone" Mrs Blanco said.

"Mum, you know I love you right and I'm doing this for us, I need a job and now that I got one as a nanny, I have no choice but to take it" Sylvia said and released her.

"Okay, when will you be leaving?"

"Tomorrow morning" Sylvia pouted sadly.

"What! that is so early" Mrs Blanco exclaimed.

"I know right but I have to go"

"Fine, go and rest while I prepare dinner" Mrs Blanco said.

"Okay mum, I love you" Sylvia said and walked out of the kitchen.

"I love you too" Mrs Blanco replied after her.

Sylvia walked into her room and immediately pulled her clothes then she went to the bathroom to have her bath. When she was done she came out of the bathroom and walked to her closet, she took out a black knicker and blue top.

She put the clothes on and walked to her bed, took her phone out of her bag and decided to call her best friend Bianca Dialing her number she waited for her to pick up.

"Hey girl!" Bianca yelled from the other line and Sylvia quickly removed the phone from her ear.

"Do you want to damage my ear? " She rolled her eyes.

"It would be good right, don't you think? "Bianca asked.

"Gosh, you are crazy, how is work? " Sylvia asked.

"Fine and have you found a job? "

"Yeah"

"What type of job? " Bianca asked, curiously.

"A nanny" Sylvia muttered.

"Okay that's fine"

"Yeah and guess who I'm gonna be working for" Sylvia smiled.

"Who?"

"Damien Kings" Sylvia dropped the bomb.

"What! You are joking" Bianca exclaimed, shocked.

"Well too bad I'm not" Sylvia smirked.

"Wow, so you would be living with Damien Kings"

"Yes"

"Gosh you are so lucky to live with the country's husband and how are you going to cope with his children? I heard they are really spoilt" Bianca said.

"They are not really bad"

"Oh really! Well I have to go now, we will talk tomorrow" Bianca said.

"Okay, bye I have to start packing my things also" Sylvia said.

"Goodnight"

"Night" Sylvia sighed after cutting the call.

"Sylvia come downstairs for dinner" she heard her mum yell so she dropped her phone and walked out of her room to the dining.

"Wow the food looks nice" Sylvia said taking her sit on one of the chairs.

"I can't wait to taste it" She said again and started serving herself, when she was done serving she immediately started eating.

"Hmm the food taste good" she moaned and Mrs Blanco chuckled.

"I'm glad you liked it" she smiled and they continued eating, when they were done eating Sylvia took the plates to the kitchen for washing.

By the time she was done washing the plates, her mum had already gone to her room so she went upstairs, she decided to greet her mum goodnight so she stopped by her door and knocked then opened the door, poking her head inside.

"Goodnight mum" she said.

"Goodnight honey, sleep tight" her mum replied smiling.

"I love you mum"

"I love you too "

That been said she went to her room and laid on the bed, closing her eyes she thought of how tomorrow is gonna be before sleep took over.
