Chapter 4 Big Loss

Nothing about the fight looks alright, it didn't make any sense. I wanted it to, but no matter how much i look at it, it doesn't make any sense at all. I needed to stop Gonzalo from doing anything stupid knowing the selfish bastard that he is

He cut her and dropped her to the ground. I rushed to her side hoping I could save her but it was already too late to do so. She no longer had a pulse and I looked at Gonzalo with my heart filled with so much anguish and bloodthirst.

I howled loudly in the sky expressing my pain as I held my lifeless mate in my hands. It hurt me so much that the first time I got to hold her was in death.

"Okay sire." She responded humbly which made her instantly loveable.

"You are my mate and I would like to complete the mating bond with you because I am ready to claim you."I dropped the bombshell and I could see how worried she looked.

Her facial expression seemed like one whose world has been shattered into a million pieces. Within a split second, she went on her knees and looked at me like she was begging for mercy.

At this point, I became confused as I wondered what this is about. "I am sorry sire, I cannot agree to what you ask of me. I am deeply in love with Alpha Gonzalo. My heart belongs to him and I cannot betray our love." she begged me in tears and i just sat there looking at her as i felt a surging anger within me.

"How could Gonzalo betray me like this?" I muttered to myself as I hoped to be woken up from this nightmare.

I became instantly filled with so much confusion and I could hardly think straight. "For how long have you been in a relationship with my brother?" I asked her with a lump in my throat.

"For.... for... days. No weeks." she stuttered in response.

Without thinking, I stood up and dashed out of the great hall in search of my brother. At this point, I didn't mind what was going to come from me challenging him but I needed to. Not only did he make my chosen mate fall in love with him, he also made her reject me which is an insult to my pride.

I looked around and I could not find him but I wasn't willing to give up either. I walked further outside the castle and I found him having a conversation with one of the cabinet members. In rage, I landed a blow on his face and then he let out a mischievous smile the second his eyes fell on Akira. At this point, he knew what my anger was about and he was unremorseful about it.

"I see you met the love of my life." Gonzalo said smiling.

I rushed at him and landed another blow and blood flowed out of his nose. From the facial expression on his face, it was quite evident that he felt embarrassed to be beaten by me.

I soon changed into my wolf form and he did the same without hesitation. He wasn't ready to back down and I wasn't ready to let him win this round either.

With our eyes locked in and blazing in anger, we started fighting and we lunged at each other with our teeth bared and our claws extended. I looked to the side at intervals and I saw Akira watch in terror. Other wolves began to gather but none of them were brave enough to try to separate the fight.

In the heat of the moment, Akira moved closer as she tried to separate the fight but then a scratch meant for me landed on her back causing her to scream out in pain.

My rage intensified and I reached for him without delay. Seeing her cry in so much pain and agony made me more furious. I began scratching him and hitting him without thinking twice about it.

I noticed a switch in his body movement and then he turned swiftly to Akira's direction. Before I could get a chance to stop him, he already grabbed her and held her by the neck. Being fully aware of the kind of wolf gonzalo is, I paused.

"Dont." I said to him in almost a whisper.

"Don't come any closer Alberto." he said in response.

"Please don't." I pleaded again but he chose to be heartless instead.

He used his claws to tear her spleen and dropped her to the ground. I rushed to her side hoping I could save her but it was already too late to do so. She no longer had a pulse and I looked at Gonzalo with my heart filled with so much anguish and bloodthirst.

Sapphire pov

I heard the sound of my door creaking and I opened my eyes slowly, my whole body felt sore and it felt like I had been asleep for a very long time. I looked around but nothing was familiar. The bed is different from the usual as it feels so cozy and the sunlight came in from a different direction of the window.

Something felt different, I felt different. I couldn't tell what exactly it was. I looked at my hand and my eyes widened instantly. I looked at the dress I have on and it is definitely not my hand. The biggest shock of it all is the skin tone. At this point, I realized I am in someone else's body.

I didn't realize when I screamed out loud and in less than a minute, the maid came in panicking but the panic soon became happiness as she saw me awake. "My lady has awoken! My lady had awoken.!"I heard her exclaim happily.
