Chapter 5 I made my boss jealous

Lina went into her office looking very excited. I'm glad she saw everything firsthand. I hope she felt what she made me feel, she must be fuming right now Lina thought. Craig at the other end is feeling very bitter, he couldn't believe he was unable to resist Lina's temptation. Now he has ruined his chances of having Louisa, the only woman he's been craving to have. It will surely be a different feeling having Louisa in my arms, now I don't see that happening, he thought as he became extremely disappointed in himself.

Louisa went back to her cubicle thinking about what she saw in the CEO's office. I thought as much, he have something to do with her. The look on her face explained everything, I will never have something to do with him, he is just a swine, Louisa thought as the expression on her face changed into anger.

Matt, a young man in his 20s, a co-worker whose cubicle is next to Louisa walked into her office. He's holding a cup of coffee in his hands "Hi Louisa, are you okay?" Matt asked, standing just beside Louisa. Matt had a crush on Louisa since she was introduced into the company but had been looking for a way to come close to her and at least have a conversation.

"I'm fine, thank you". Louisa said as she's barely looking at Matt's face. "Do you care for a coffee?" Matt asked extending the cup of coffee to Louisa "Aw! Thank you?" Louisa said as she received the cup of coffee from Matt. "You're welcome" Matt replied staring at Louisa's face as she took a sip from the cup. "Do you mind for lunch?" Matt asked, extending his kind gestures further.

"No Matt, thank you" Louisa said as she declined Matt's request outright. Matt was not happy, an outing with Louisa will be a good opportunity for him to express his feelings towards her. But now that she's declined, Matt believed his chances are slim even though he's not going to give up easily. Matt left Louisa's cubicle feeling very unhappy.

Lina walked into Louisa's cubicle. Placed her right hand on her hip and left on Louisa's table. "Hi Ms Lina," Louisa said. "I hope you saw what went down in there in the CEO's office," Lina whispered loudly close to Louisa's ear. "His touch is the most sensational feeling every woman will wish for" Lina said running her finger around her neck romantically to provoke Louisa. "now listen to me" Lina said furiously. "You're employed here to work, get your eyes off him, he belongs to me and me alone," Lina said as she left the office excitedly. Louisa couldn't say a word, she's not the troublesome type and besides Lina is her boss too. I must be careful about what I say or do here, I don't want to lose my job, Louisa thought as she became more frustrated.

What do I do now? I need to find a way to get this off my head Louisa thought as she struggled with the decision. Maybe I shouldn't have turned down Matt's request for lunch. I need it now more than ever. Louisa thought as she left her cubicle quickly and went into Matt's office.

"Hi, Matt!" Louisa said smiling at Matt friendly. "Hello Louisa" Matt replied as he continue to stare at Louisa surprisingly. He had never seen her smile at him this way. He felt very lucky to see such a beautiful smile on Louisa's face. "So, are you up for lunch now," Louisa said.

"Oh! Yeah! Sure" Matt stuttered as he loomed further in surprise. "But I thought.." Matt couldn't complete his statement as he was cut short by Louisa. "No never mind," Louisa said as she already knew what Matt is going to say. Although Matt has a valid reason to be surprised because Louisa had declined his offer earlier and all of a sudden, she now wants to go out with him. Anyways, I don't care what made her change her mind, all that matters now is that she's here and is fully ready to have lunch with me. Matt thought. "Can we go already?" Louisa said as Matt stood up quickly and left with her.

Craig sat in his office deeply in thought. His feelings for Louisa are growing stronger. Everything now seems complicated. He's been a playboy for a while now and he's never spent so much time as this chasing after a woman.

A lot of women will want to seize every opportunity to throw themselves at him, but Louisa isn't like that. She's always shying away from me, even when I promised her heaven and earth. She's a special woman and I must do everything not just to have her but to keep her. Craig thought as he wallowed in pain.

Matt entered Parrot and Beak bar with Louisa. The bar belongs to the media company where they work, and most staff come here to have a drink or take some snacks. They took a seat close to its entrance and ordered a hamburger and a cold wine.

Matt still wasn't sure why Louisa switched after declining his request to go out with him earlier. Louisa is only with him to cool off his frustration. She adored her boss Craig so much and can't wait to have a nice time with him.

She was hurt seeing him kiss Lina but she has to pretend not to care. Matt and Louisa finished their meal and are prepared to leave when Craig walked in. He was astonished to see Louisa and Matt together. Louisa quickly grabbed the arm of Matt and started smiling at him all of a sudden. Matt was very surprised at how she pulled him closer immediately Craig walked in. She wants Craig to believe she's having a date with Matt. She wants him to feel the pain he made her feel when she saw him kiss Lina. Craig's heart was completely broken after seeing Louisa and Matt together. How can she leave a rich and handsome young CEO like me for someone that only works for me, Craig thought as he left the bar fuming angrily.
