Chapter 9 The Dismissal

When Prisca got to Tina's house gate, she stood and knocked heavily on the small gate, as she banged it so loudly while waiting impatiently for Tina to step out, as she banged heavily on the gate again with her fist again.

Tina woke up from her sleep, hearing the loud sound of someone knocking on their main entrance small gate, and she sprang up immediately from the bed and rushed out to check on whom was there, as she remembered that she had locked up the gate before she went inside to sleep.

Tina approached the gate, and she peeped out through the small hole at the gate, and she saw it was Prisca actually knocking, making her frown as she finally unlocked the small gate and pulled it open to pee at Prisca angrily.

Even though her mother has warned her not to allow Prisca into their compound again, Tina still wanted to find out what Prisca actually wanted, and she immediately asked Prisca coldly, "What are you doing here, Prisca?."

Tina crossed her arms around her chest as she stared at Prisca irritably, and Prisca frowned and stared at Tina from 'head to toe' first before she asked Tina, "What happened, Tina?. I mean between you and Patrick?. Don't think that I won't find out."

Tina frowned, and she hid her angered emotions as she bit on her lower lip and stared around their street first before her gaze fell back on Prisca, and she replied, "I don't know what you're talking about, Prisca."

Tina tried to deny what happened. between herself and Patrick, but Prisca said, "Hmm. Don't deny it or lie to me, Tina!. I saw the dried red blood stain on Patrick's bed by myself. Did Patrick touch you when we left his house?. Tell me the truth, Tina. What really happened between you and him?."

Tina felt irritated all over, remembering all that happened between herself and Patrick, and she felt like Prisca knew and betrayed her trust as to why Prisca took her there, and she screamed out at Prisca, "Just get out of my house, Prisca!, I don't want to ever see your face here again, and I don't know what you're talking about!. So please leave! and don't come here again!.

I should've known that you're an evil friend for leaving me behind. For your information, nothing happened between me and Patrick, and I don't know what you saw or whatever nonsense you're talking about. So just leave and stay clearly away from me from now onwards, as our friendship is over from today onwards!." Tina yelled angrily, startling Prisca, who was stunned at first. Prisca calmed down and asked her, "Really?. Well, you should also start by returning all my things that I borrowed from you before and gave to you too. You should pay me the money that you're owing me first, but still, I should've known that you were a pretender, and you couldn't even wait for us to leave the house first before you went and slept with Patrick on his bed, even after saying that you didn't want him, and you want to keep your pride, bla bla bla for your husband, nonsense!."

Tina got even more angry, and she wanted to slap Prisca's face so hard and shut her up, but she shook her head sadly and knew that she had to be strong and not fall for Prisca's trap. She knew the type of parrot mouth that Prisca had. She never knew of the dried blood stained that Prisca was talking about, but she knew that with only that little blood stained that Prisca saw, Prisca would announce her everywhere, including to their colleagues at school, as they just finished their high school class exams and were preparing for their school scholarship exam too.

Tina knew that Prisca would still go ahead and gossip about her to other of their schoolmates and street friends by telling them that she had been deflowered. Just like how Prisca also used to gossip about others of their colleagues to her too, and she shook her head in sadness and shut her gate closed on Prisca, as she couldn't reveal the truth to Prisca. It was better that Prisca was left with only her assumptions than confirm the truth through her reaction, and beside, the deed has already happened.

Prisca finally left Tina's compound after yelling and telling Tina to return all the things that she had given and borrowed from Tina before, and Tina sighed and locked back the small gate entrance before she went into the house to prepare their dinner since her mother and two siblings would soon be home.

Patrick arrived at his furniture work place, but still, he couldn't fully concentrate on his work, as what he did with Tina the previous night kept on popping up in his mind and disturbing his thoughts, together with the fact that he didn't sleep well the previous night too, due to Tina's continuous sobbing till dawn, and he knew that he didn't even use any protection on her, and now he got all worried and couldn't concentrate on his work again, as he was into furniture making and creating wooden carved furniture, doors, and designer beds with dining seats and tables. He was doing very well in his craft, and he even got foreign and international connections to ship and export his brand to other states and countries at large, as he was making some of the finest home and office furniture in their state.

Patrick's business expanded earlier in the same year, and he got to buy his first house, where he was living with his younger sister, Sharon. He had an older brother too, Victory Scott, who was a certified graduate of a well-known university, but due to the poor employment rate in their state, Victory later went to join the military, and Patrick didn't even bother writing his admission exam or furthering his academics at any university, as he went into business after his high school certificate exam.

It wasn't like Patrick's parents were poor or couldn't sponsor his fees to any university of his choice, but Patrick had long told his parents, "Mom, Dad, I want to be a businessman instead of me going into the university, as many graduates of the university here hardly got sustainable jobs in our state, and I don't want to end up like them."

It was for the same reason that Patrick thought that his elder brother should join the military force, due to the lack of employment in their state. And so, Patrick had decided right from the time, when he was still in high school, that after he was through with his college exam, he would go into business training. And after passing out of college while his parents were still living in the city, Patrick had registered as an apprentice to learn the craft of making different kinds of wooden furniture and seats, and he later furthered his skills in making golden-carved furniture too, for home and office uses.

Patrick did so well in his craft, and these made people both far and nearby love his craft and patronize his designs because they were extremely beautiful. He also made so much money in his furniture-making business that he became a young millionaire in their state at a younger age, as he was 25 years old, but due to his wealth and connections, Patrick looked more manly and handsome, like one in his thirties.

Patrick was a dark-skinned man, masculine, tall, and huge in height, with fine jawlines, 6-packs, and charming looks for a man. But he wasn't able to focus on his work again, so he closed for the day, dismissing his workers as he drove back home to his mansion.

On getting home, Sharon wasn't around, so Patrick went inside to his bedroom, as he was already used to the fact that he was living with a promiscuous sister. And so he went to his bedroom, and the memory of what he did with Tina the previous night came flooding into his mind, and especially when he saw the dried blood stained on his white bed, he became more heartbroken, and he cursed out, "Why did I do it with her? Why wasn't I able to control myself?"

Patrick felt bad as a lot of high-class ladies were yearning to be with him for free, and yet he was able to control himself away from them. So why wasn't he able to do the same with Tina?, and he asked again, "Why couldn't I? I could control myself and avoid others. Why couldn't I just avoid her the previous night? .. I love Tina, and I never meant to sleep with her that way."

Patrick walked to his bed, and he yanked the bedspread away as he said, "I couldn't even control myself to stop touching her, as all I ever wanted was her, and to make sweet love to her was all I craved last night. Tina is too beautiful. The most beautiful, pretty, and seductive young lady that I've ever seen. Fair, cute, blonde hair, brown eyes, and beautiful without makeup. Of all the classy ladies that I have seen in the heart of the city, none are as beautiful as her. Even with their full makeup and seductive dresses, none still looked as beautiful as hers to me. Why?.."

Patrick touched the stained glass, and he knew {Tina looked so pure, innocent, and calm, unlike those city girls looking wide and exposed. I should've known that she was still pure and a virgin.}

Patrick shook his head sadly, and he said, "I didn't doubt it when Prisca told me that she didn't want to have any boyfriends. I was happy to hear that, and I loved her at first sight when I first saw her at the market square helping her mother sell her fruit. I knew from that very moment that I had to plan on making her mine. But when I approached her, she just refused me. She didn't even want to stare at me. She's so stubborn, and she refused to talk to me."

Patrick continued to lament, as he knew that he would be haunted in his own house with the memory of hurting Tina and sleeping with her against her wishes, as he knew that she wasn't ready to have a boyfriend yet.
