Chapter 4 New Year's Eve

I came back to my home and the excitement consumed me, I couldn't wait to get to my place of peace. I had already booked to spend the new year at Thaís house,she made sure to go to the store and choose the best dress(because she says I'm going to get a boyfriend),I bought everything that was missing and here I was getting ready.

Call:

"Hi Thata."

"Hi friend, are you ready yet?

"I'm getting ready.

"Don't delay, all my parents' guests have arrived.

"Don't rush me or everything will go wrong."

"All right, when you're ready, let me know, I want to introduce you to the businessmen who are here.

"Go ahead and date a girl and let me make my own dates."

"Fine, I'll just kiss a little while my parents are distracted."

I put on the dress,it was white,with slits in the front of the legs,it had a transparency on the stomach,the bust part was lace on top of the cloth of the dress,it went down to the heel,I put on my silver sandals,my earrings and necklace,I made up with light colors,I looked at myself for the last time in the mirror and I was stunning.

I admit that my secretary has good taste,I looked really beautiful in this dress. I left the house and asked for a car by app and when it arrived,I got in and texted Thata,paid the driver as soon as we arrived,got out of the car and went to the door of the big house,it was beautiful,had a beautiful flower bed in front. I rang the doorbell twice,after long minutes the maid opened the door.

"Good evening." - I speak kindly.

"Good evening, whose guest are you?"

"Thaís's,I'm actually her boss and friend."

"Yeah,sure,she's been talking about you all day,you can come in." - He says friendly giving me passage,but I don't move.

"Could you call her?"

"No need Ivone,I'm already here" - We hear the voice and soon Thaís appears from the woman's side.

"Excuse me." - She says normally and leaves.

"But it was worth it, you look so beautiful, ready to find a boyfriend today.

"Stop it for free, I came only because I consider you my best and only friend, otherwise I wouldn't even come."

"Admit it, Luma, you love me very much."

"Never." - I laughed lightly.

We entered her huge living room and there were several guests,men,women,ladies and gentlemen.

"Come,I will introduce you to my parents." - I followed her and within seconds we arrived at a couple much older than me,only younger than my parents "Dad,mom,this is Luma,my friend and boss."

"Good evening gentlemen, it's a pleasure to meet you." - I smile friendly extending my hand for a formal length.

"Likewise Luma,make yourself at home!". - I shake each person's hand.

"Yes ma'am."

"And any things just ask."

"Yes sir."

"You can call us you, Luma."

"Okay." - I smiled and Thaís already pulled me in to meet more people.

After she introduced me to everyone and especially the single men I went to get a stiff drink,Thaís was kissing with a young man in the garden and that means I am dumped in her house,with people I have no affinity for and who are practically strangers.

"Hello young lady." - A very handsome man looks at me and smiles sideways.

"Hello."

"Are you alone?"

"Yeah,my friend got better company than me." - I smile at the thought.

"I doubt there's a nicer companion than yours." - I smile even cutely.

"Well, there is, the opposite sex."

"Does that mean I can be a better companion than her?"

"Maybe."

"Do you live around here?"

"A little far away, but in the same town.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"No, but from what I can see you have a wife, because she can't take her eyes off us."

"Yes, we are trying to separate, we can't do it anymore, our marriage is unbearable."

We leave each with our own glass of drink in hand,we stay in the pool area,leaning against the wall of the house,looking at the crystal clear water and talking about us,I know that tomorrow I won't even remember his name,but I still decide to ask.

"Okay, I'm waiting for you." - She says seriously moving away a little.

"Well,it was pretty cool but I have to go and you have to find your wife,thanks for the good feeling you gave me,the kiss and all."

"You're welcome, it was very nice indeed. When will we see each other again?"

"Never again I hope,I don't like being a lover." - I blink at it and leave.

I find Thaís saying goodbye to her lover of today and she looks at me as he leaves.
