Chapter 5 Caught In The Act

Romeo continued working diligently in his office, typing away on his computer with great speed. He had earned a reputation as a workaholic, fully dedicated to his work and unwilling to tolerate any form of clumsiness from others.

The sudden creaking of the door made him pause abruptly. His gaze shifted towards the entrance, and a smile automatically graced his lips when he saw who had walked into the office. It was Marcus, his best friend.

"Why the hell didn't you inform me that you came back yesterday?" Marcus complained as he fully entered the office. He had a playful tone in his voice, clearly expressing his annoyance.

"You were bound to find out sooner or later," Romeo replied nonchalantly, diverting his attention back to his computer screen.

"Tsk tsk, I wonder how your future wife is going to cope with you," Marcus teased.

Romeo looked up from his work, finally acknowledging Marcus's presence. "So, what brings you here?" he asked, his tone indicating genuine interest.

"Seriously?" Marcus scoffed. "Should I just walk out then?" he added sarcastically.

Romeo let out a sigh and gave Marcus his full attention. "How have you been?" he inquired, a smile playing on his lips.

"Better," Marcus replied, settling himself comfortably in a chair and casually propping his leg up on the table, disregarding Romeo's disapproving gaze.

Romeo and Marcus engaged in a conversation, their expressions growing serious as they delved into a particular topic of importance.

"What are you going to do now?" Marcus asked after Romeo had finished sharing his findings.

"What else?" Romeo responded with a smirk. "Sit back and watch how they make fools of themselves."

Meanwhile, Rosetta let out a groan of frustration as she finished cleaning the last toilet. She stretched her tired body and exhaled heavily. The rumbling of her stomach reminded her that she hadn't eaten since the previous day, and her thoughts immediately drifted to Romeo.

He had helped her the day before, even treating her to a sumptuous meal. But now, she had repaid his kindness by breaking his watch. She cursed herself for the foolish mistake, realizing that her job was now on the line. It was a choice between finding a way to buy him a new wristwatch or losing her job. Unfortunately, it seemed evident that the latter would be her fate. Where on earth would she find the money to purchase a wristwatch?

As she made her way back to the dressing room, her mind was consumed with thoughts of food. Hunger had become her constant companion, and she could feel herself growing weaker and more emaciated.

"I might as well consider suicide at this rate," she muttered to herself, her despair evident.

Meanwhile, Romeo bid farewell to an elderly woman, shaking her hand before she rose from her seat. "Sperando di lavorare con voi in futuro," she said with a smile. (Hoping to work with you in the future)

"Piacer mio {My pleasure}," Romeo replied politely. After exchanging more pleasantries, the woman departed, leaving Romeo alone in his office. He glanced at his hand, instinctively seeking the time from his wristwatch, only to be reminded of the unfortunate incident.

"That bitch," he muttered under his breath, frustration evident in his voice. He let out a sigh, retrieved his phone, and exited his office, paying little attention to the greetings from his staff.

As he stepped outside the company, a guard promptly opened the car door for him. Romeo climbed into the car and instructed the driver, "Drive me home." The driver promptly obeyed, and they set off towards his destination.

The car raced down the driveway until it reached the massive gate. As the gate automatically opened, the car drove inside and parked in the garage.

Romeo stepped out of his car and entered the house without uttering a word. It was unusual for him to be home at that time, but he had something important to discover.

As he walked toward his room, he began hearing strange sounds-moans and groans, accompanied by the unmistakable noise of bodies colliding. One could easily guess what was happening.

Romeo continued walking until he reached his bedroom door, maintaining a stoic expression on his face. He opened the door, and the scene that greeted him was highly unpleasant.

Helena was in his bedroom, on all fours, while a man engaged in intimate activities with her from behind.

"Oh, yes! Harder!" Helena moaned uncontrollably, completely unaware of a pair of green eyes intently observing their every move.

Romeo smirked, then settled himself on a couch, crossing his legs and busying himself with his phone, paying no attention to the sinful sounds emanating from the couple.

"I'm about to climax!" Helena screamed.

"Not yet!" The man groaned. He made Helena face him, her breath heavy with anticipation.

But then, her eyes caught sight of a figure in the room, engrossed in his phone. Her face paled, and she quickly pushed the man away, wiping her forehead with sweaty palms.

"Ro... Romeo," she stammered, her heart pounding in her chest. The man turned out to be one of Romeo's numerous guards, already perspiring.

Romeo's gaze shifted toward them, a lazy smile playing on his lips.

"Did I interrupt your enjoyment?" he smirked.

"No, Romeo. It's not what you think. He was just giving me a massage," Helena blurted out foolishly.

"Voglio vedere un film interessante, quindi continua,{I want to watch an interesting movie, baby, so continue}" Romeo smiled, resuming his activities on his phone, leaving Helena at a loss for words.
