Chapter 7 My Achilles heel.

+

After an early morning of work, I settle comfortably to have a delicious lunch. It feels strange not to have Norma's little voice nearby; she's tireless, and all that energy and wit of hers make my days different. Now that I think of her, I hope she's okay. There's always a chance that the people who can follow me might hurt her without thinking.

Oh, it can't be true. Is it possible that just by thinking of her, she magically appears out of nowhere? Nah, I don't think it's her. It's not the right time for her to show up.

Setting aside my lunch, I get up from the dining room as the doorbell keeps ringing incessantly. Could it be Norma? But it can't be her since she has keys to the apartment.

I hasten my steps, and within minutes, I'm at the front door. I turn the doorknob.

"Norma," I stand frozen as I see that the person in front of my eyes is not Norma.

I try to make sense of things and finally understand why this person is here.

"Wow... So, this is your home," his face shows great surprise. "Hello, Pekinese."

Breathe... Breathe... Breathe, and now kill him.

He has no reason to be here. This is my personal life! But what's going on in his head?

"Fuck off," I snap, trying to slam the door in his face, but the bastard is too cunning.

"Shhh... You're a woman with a bad temper," he stops me just as I was about to close the door for the second time. "Relax, uncontrollable lady, I have no intention of provoking you, although I can't be blamed for your menopause, yes, the one that comes before the right age," he whispers.

I want to kill him!

Yes, I want to kill him!

He's disrespecting me, he has come to challenge me.

"Go to hell!" I shout with determination.

I try to lunge at him, but I stop when I hear the elevator sound. I become alert, and in milliseconds, I see that it's Norma with her boyfriend-friend. I act quickly, grabbing the idiot's shirt, pulling him inside the apartment, and then closing the door.

Norma can't see me with him. She can't find out about my other life. I feel like this is the end, all because of this idiot. What has he come for?

Leaving the idiot behind me, I don't care if I wrinkled his fancy suit. I try to open the door to peek outside. I look through the opening and cover my mouth when I see that my friend wants to come in, but her boyfriend is stopping her. My breathing becomes erratic, and the damn guy smirks behind me.

I open my eyes as I feel his hand pass over my waist, pulling me closer to him. I glance at him from the corner of my eye but remain silent. I don't want to explode because that would give me away to Norma, and I don't want her to know about my other life. But I don't know how to hide it, as this damn man is from my other life, not this one.

"I'll seize this moment," he murmurs. "What do you fear?" he whispers, his mouth trailing along my ear. "Don't get your hopes up with me."

I'm left dumbfounded, stunned, and bewildered. The bastard wants to provoke me. Without ceasing his provocation, he wets his tongue, running it along the lobe of my ear, and finally gives me a gentle, sweet bite...

I don't move. I can't breathe!

As he notices my rapid breathing, he sticks out his tongue again. I feel his hand squeeze my behind, and I desire to kick him in the groin.

I want to scream...

I can't take it anymore... I can't take it anymore... I can't take it anymore.

Carefully, I close the door. Without uttering a word, I push him away from my body. I turn around, facing him, and pierce him with my gaze, emotionless. I point to where the kitchen is.

Without taking his eyes off me, he decides to step back, always keeping his gaze fixed on me. What is he looking at so intently? I've never seen a woman in pajamas, or rather, in a not-so-provocative baby doll.

"Can you explain what you're doing here?" I demand, feeling my patience wearing thin. "You're a damn stalker."

"No..." he shakes his head. "The only thing..."

"Olivia, your beautiful sister, has come, along with her boyfriend." Oh, shit!

I panic. I grab the red sauce from the dining table and in milliseconds, I smear it all over his fine jacket and white shirt inside. Ouch, I know this sauce will never come off, and therefore, the clothes are ruined. I don't care if he yells and throws a tantrum, as he's in my house and I didn't invite him.

"But what the hell have you done?" he exclaims, his face turning as red as a tomato.

I suppress a smile at the sight of his angry face, mixed with the desire to cry. I can't point a gun at him, and I certainly can't stab him, but I can hurt his ego and the arrogance of an important man, the kind of person who would rather fly than dirty their fine clothes.

"Olivia," she clears her throat, "I didn't know you had company," she emphasizes, and slowly I see a huge smile forming on her face.

Oh, no... I'm in serious trouble.

My world crumbled in just a few minutes, but everything has a name and surname. Now I have to find a way for Norma to think that this idiot is my lover and not just a freeloader from the nightclub.

My world can't collapse out of nowhere.

Norma has a unique gaze, constantly scanning the idiot from head to toe, and my legs are trembling. A part of me wants to play the submissive during the day, but the other wants to be dominant and put an end to the freeloader once and for all.

I have to fix the collateral damage this jerk is causing me. I still don't understand what he's doing here, but he's mistaken if he thinks he can intimidate me. I won't allow my perfect life of deception to go down the drain because of a stupid man. I won't allow it!

"Well, I'll tell you what's going on, but you tell me what you're doing here." Improvise! Yes, I have to improvise.

I shouldn't be so stupid. That question is out of place, as it's obvious what her answer will be. I take a deep breath and relax to think about what I should or shouldn't say.

"This is my house," she squeals with laughter. "And besides, I came to introduce you to my boyfriend." My eyes widen as I see the boyfriend standing next to her.

Boyfriend? Now that I realize it, I see that she already has a boyfriend and gave Alejandro a chance. Alejandro is a good friend and is in love with her, but the fools didn't want to give it a try.

"Sorry, Alejandro, I didn't see you," I whisper, lowering my gaze a bit.

"Don't worry, Olivia. It's good to see you," I raise my gaze upon hearing his sweet words.

"Ale, can you wait for me in the living room while I talk to Olivia?" Ah, yes, Norma is shooing away her boyfriend because she wants to tell me something.

Why is this happening to me? Norma is behaving like the girl I know, not allowing Alejandro to get involved or witness this scene.

"I'm sorry, Norma, you caught me off guard," I soften my voice.

"Now that we're alone, can you explain who this gentleman is?" she points at him, and my body tenses as I feel him leaning against my back, the cool stickiness of the sauce on my exposed skin.

Damn it!
