Chapter 2 Part 2

"Lim Airin," a nurse called from the laboratory door.

Two women who were sitting then suddenly stood up. The two then looked at each other now.

"Ah, did I do something wrong? Didn't the nurse call Kim Chairin?" asked one of the women with shoulder-length hair who looked so elegant.

"Ah, sorry, Sister just called Lim Airin's name. It seems you heard wrong, Eonni," said the other woman.

"Ah, that's how it seems, okay. Sorry, I heard wrong," said the shoulder-length-haired girl apologetically.

"It's okay, Eonni," replied the other girl.

The girl, Lim Airin, entered the laboratory to carry out the tests recommended by the Obgyn Doctor yesterday.

Once inside the laboratory, Airin was a little confused. She was going to do a test. Why did the Doctor in the lab look like he was about to do something big?

"Lie down relaxed, Airin_ssi! We will carry out the procedure quickly and precisely," said the nurse who called Airin earlier.

"Procedure? What?" asked Airin, confused.

The nurse smiled and then laid Airin down slowly.

"This is a procedure that you have agreed to, and you must do it. I promise it won't take long and won't hurt," said the nurse gently.

Airin obediently then nodded her head in agreement with the nurse's words. Airin lay down while the nurse put a blanket on Airin's body. Because suddenly feeling tense, Airin closed her eyes because she was also a little scared now.

In another room, Yoonki is waiting with a slightly worried face. Doctor Chan then came and sat in front of Yoonki's cup of coffee which was still steaming hot Yoonki.

"You have a taut face," he said later.

Yoonki looked up and smiled at Doctor Chan.

"Eo, I'm a little tense. How was my checkup today, Chan?" asked Yoonki to the point.

Doctor Chan smiled faintly, then handed Yoonki.

"Luckily, you immediately joined chemotherapy. We can suppress the growth of cancer cells while reducing the tumor size. But..." Doctor Chan stopped his words.

Yoonki, who was reading the results of his checkup, stopped and looked at Chanbin now. Yoonki put the paper he was holding on the table and smiled faintly.

"All the bad possibilities you told me happened?" asked Yoongi.

"Eo," Chanbin briefly looked very sorry.

Yoonki himself just smiled again. His face looked normal. He may have already prepared himself for this.

"Luckily, I've saved my precious seed," Yoonki said as if talking to himself.

"Em, you're right this time. So, after you marry Sena, we can inseminate Sena," said Doctor Chan in response to Yoonki.

Yoonki was silent and did not respond to Chanbin's words. He looked at his friend and then took a deep breath.

"Sena and I have broken up," Yoonki squeaked quietly.

"Ha?" Chanbin shrieked in surprise.

Airin just entered her room. Airin then lay down on the bed and took a deep breath.

"Why do I get tired so easily lately?" Airin mumbled and felt something was wrong with her body for the past few days.

Airin then sat and remembered why her body could be like this.

"This all happened after I had a lab test, and until now, the hospital has not contacted me with my lab. Is there something serious about my uterus that they do so many procedures like that?" Airin muttered again in monologue.

Airin then inched down from her bed and walked to the table in the corner of her room. Airin opened her bag and took her cell phone. Airin opened her chat application and saw that there were indeed no incoming messages on her cellphone from the hospital.

"Ah, let me go there tomorrow," said Airin, making her own decision.

"Airin! Get out of your room!" someone shouted from outside the room until it succeeded in making Airin surprised and holding her chest now.

"Yes, I'm out, Aunt," said Airin, who hurriedly put down her cell phone and quickly walked out of the room.

Arriving outside the room, Airin was immediately greeted with a jug of water that now wet her face.

"It's so nice at this hour, and you're in the room. Cook! It's time for dinner soon," said a middle-aged woman who looked similar to Airin.

"Sorry, Aunt, I just got home. I just put my things in the room," said Airin, wiping her wet face now.

"Many reasons! Hurry up and cook now!" the woman Airin called Aunt ordered, half dragging Airin's hand towards the kitchen of their house now.

Someone tapped Chanbin's workspace, and he was with Taeoh discussing drugs that Yoonki takes. They both looked towards the door.

"Enter!" Chanbin said briefly.

Not long after, a female Obstetrician named Kang Sujin came in with a panicked face and rushed over to Chanbin and Taeoh. Seeing Doctor Sujin's panicked look, Chanbin stood up reflexively.

"What is it, Doctor Sujin?" Chanbin asked then.

"We're in big trouble, Doctor Chan."

Sujin's words made Taeoh stand up in surprise. The two male doctors looked at Sujin with wide eyes.

"What is the problem?" Chanbin and Taeoh asked almost at the same time.

"I entered the wrong insemination," said Sujin, lowering her voice.

"Ha? How wrong? And who should it be?" asked Chanbin, very surprised now.

"Read this!" said Sujin handing someone's medical record.

Chanbin's eyes widened while Taeoh, who couldn't wait for the medical record to finish, Chanbin read. Taeoh then snatched the medical history from Chanbin's hands after reading the name of the inseminator and the recipient of the insemination itself. Taeoh widened his eyes, too, and looked at Sujin now.

"Ya! Kang Sujin, what have you done? You, don't forget this isn't Yoonki's?" Taeoh said in an annoyed tone.

"That's precisely why I said we were in big trouble," said Sujin, who looked frantic.

Airin came to the hospital and is now waiting for her name to be called. Airin felt that her body was getting worse and worse. Even since waking up this morning, Airin's head has hurt and not subsided.

Yoonki just arrived and dashed past Airin, who was sitting. Airin's chest beat twice as fast after Yoonki passed for some reason. Airin looked at Yoonki, who ran and entered Doctor Sujin's practice room.

"Tsk, why don't you join the queue? Surely, he's rich," Airin grumbled, annoyed that Yoonki suddenly entered Doctor Sujin's practice room. Meanwhile, he had to wait in line, and his name was called 2 hours ago.

"Lim Airin."

Airin turned her gaze towards the nurse who was calling her now. Airin's brow furrowed in confusion, and someone had just entered Doctor Sujin's room. Then why was he also summoned now?

"Please come in, Airin_ssi," repeated the nurse.

Airin nodded in agreement and then walked toward Doctor Sujin's practice room. Airin was silent in the doorway when she was already in Doctor Sujin's room. It wasn't only Doctor Sujin and the man who had run in; it turned out that two more men were wearing Doctor coats as well.

"Are my lab results not good? How many doctors are here? What's this?" Airin thought in a monologue in her heart.

"Airin_ssi, come in! You must be surprised that there are many men here," said Doctor Sujin, who could read Airin's confused and strange face.

Airin smiled awkwardly, then entered. She bowed his head to greet Doctor Sujin and the other three men.

"Sit down, Airin_ssi! We have to explain something," repeated Doctor Sujin.

Airin nodded obediently. Airin then sat on the chair next to Sujin and faced each other with Yoonki. All this time, the pale-skinned man, whose face looked pale, kept staring at Airin's face closely.

Sujin herself then looked at Chanbin and Taeoh in turn. Finally, Sujin looked at Yoonki, who seemed so cold at Airin. Sujin then took a deep breath and grabbed Airin's hand slowly. Airin furrowed her brows in confusion and looked at Sujin now. Her mind is getting all over the place with Airin's attitude now.

"Airin_ssi," said Sujin, opening the conversation.

"Why, Doc? Is there a problem with my lab? What, I have a dangerous disease in my womb?" Airin said repeatedly because she couldn't hold her curiosity anymore.

Sujin was silent and looked at Yoonki, who seemed to react to Airin's question. Sujin's head shook slowly towards Airin then.

"That's not it," continued Airin again.

"Then what is it, Doc?" asked Airin, more curious.

"I made a mistake. Instead of doing a test on your uterus, I inseminated you, Airin_ssi. The biggest problem again is the last cell belonging to Yoonki, my best friend," said Doctor Sujin, explaining and pointing to Yoonki sitting in front of Airin.

Airin's eyes widened in disbelief at what she heard. She then looked at Yoonki, who was looking at him coldly. Airin blinked her eyes, not knowing what to do now.

"What, am I dreaming?" Airin asked as if she was asking herself.
