Chapter 3 Rebirth

Julianna's POV

The warmth wrapped me up like a mother's womb and gave me unprecedented peace.

I closed my eyes, but still can feel a soft light shining on my eyelids, and then gradually fill the light until it covers my whole body.

I slowly opened my eyes and felt the breeze caressing my cheek.

"Darling, are you awake?" The deep voice came from the bedroom door, I rubbed my eyes, against the light to see the familiar figure!

"Gideon!" My Brain snapped and I sat up from the bed.

"You looks so pale,babe, are you all right?" Gideon asked, frowning at me as he approached me with a steaming cup of coffee.

I quickly shrank toward the head of the bed, my heart beating faster and my face paler.

Until now, I was totaly awake. I remembered all the nightmare!

In My Dream, I saw this handsome blond man, my fiance, trying to kill me!

My hand trembled and stroked my heart, and the sharp pain of the knife in my back seemed to linger in my memory.

"You had a nightmare?" He chuckled and handed me the coffee. "You have nightmares every time you get your period. You seemed to be talking in your sleep last night."

Was everything a Dream?

That horrible, dark night, even Lyon, who holding my cold body, is a dream?

"What did I say when I fall asleep?" I gasped for the cup of coffee, frowned at Gideon.

He cocked his head and thought, "My name, of course!"

"By the way, my dad just called me and said he and Mom have set a date for our wedding." Gideon was about to turn around when something occurred to him and he looked down at me.

My heart throbbed again.

Wait a minute,what he just said? A date for out the wedding?

I suddenly found that I am now wearing a winter nightdress, the window branches are bare!

And I remembered yesterday's summer bathing suit party here so clearly!

Even though I had a nightmare,but that dosen't mean I will confuse reality with dreams!

As my thoughts grew clearer, I began to remember this familiar scene--a year ago, a week before our engagement party!

Every hair on my body stood on end. I looked up at him with a trembling voice. "March 20th!"

"What?" He paused.

"Our wedding is set for March 20th!" My breathing grew heavy, and I felt as if a huge stone had been tied to my body, pulling my whole body downward.

Gideon was surprised. Then he burst out laughing. "My dad said he and Mom set the wedding date this morning, but they lied to me. I guess they already told you!"

Actually, no!

I picked up my phone by my pillow and looked at today's date--June 3,2023!

I am reborn to a year ago!

Back before the nightmare!

In a trance, my coffee spilt all over the bed.

"Julianna, are you sick?" Gideon, startled by my gesture, hurried up to me and tried to touch my cheek!

Instinctively, I avoided his hand.

His hand was frozen in mid-air, and this time he seemed really flustered: "Don't frighten me, my dear, what's the matter with you?"

God knows how much I wanted to question why he had been pretending to love me!

Even though I'm filled with hate right now, I know that God has given me this chance to be born again, to have enough time to look at the people around me, the people who seem to care about me, but actually want me dead, this time, I will open my eyes, dispel the fog that covers the heart, see those demons clearly!

"I am fine, just a sudden pain in the stomach, so did not hold the cup." I pretended to be calm, looked up at him calmly said.

Gideon took my word for it. He nodded. "That's all right. Just let Miss Smith to get a new sheet."

He paused. "By the way, I have prepared your a formal dress for tonight. I'm pretty sure you will love it."

A formal dress?

I suddenly remembered that we were going to his father's seaside mansion for dinner tonight to welcome back his young uncle, Lyon!
