Chapter 6 Marco Part 2

After school, Sylvia and I went to Marco's house address which was listed in the student bio book. We went there by taking a public bus.

Upon arrival ...

I was quite amazed when I saw how magnificent the house that stood in front of us was. If you see the splendor of this house, it is enough to prove that Marco comes from a wealthy family. I was hesitant to enter the house, but it was different for Sylvia... without hesitation, she pressed the bell on the door.

A middle-aged woman who seemed to be a maid in this house opened the door and ushered us into the house. I was even more amazed when I saw the luxurious objects that were in this house. Just by looking at it, I could predict that those items must be of high value and very expensive.

Not long after, a middle-aged woman who seemed to be about the same age as my mother appeared before us. After introducing myself, I finally found out that the woman was Marco's mother.

Sylvia loudly asked his mother many things about Marco. Thanks to the story from Marco's mother we finally found out the truth. Marco died four months ago, he died of illness. Since childhood, Marco's health was very bad. He has heart disease. So far, Marco's life has been very limited. He couldn't eat random food, he couldn't be too tired, and he never even had gym class. He was always aloof, he didn't even have a single close friend. So far, Marco has never complained about his condition, but he has a wish that hasn't come true. He always wanted to have a beautiful girlfriend and wanted to get married before he died. After hearing that, I also understood why Marco's ghost always kidnaps beautiful girls. Marco's spirit has not calmed down before his wish can be fulfilled.

After hearing Marco's mother's heartwarming story, Sylvia and I left the house. At first, I thought that Sylvia would come home. However, I was shocked when I heard Sylvia's words.

"I am going to school."

"Huh? Now?"

Without hesitation, she nodded. "Yes. I have to quickly seal Marco's ghost and save the girls."

"B-But looks like Marco suffered a lot in life."

"Then you think we should let him kidnap the girls? Still, he did wrong. I'm not going to let him cause any more trouble."

"But Sylvia, why don't we try to appease his spirit?"

"What do you mean? Do you even know how to appease his spirit?"

"We have to help him get his wish fulfilled."

Suddenly Sylvia laughed loudly. "You are an idiot. Do you think anyone wants to marry a ghost? Do you want to marry a ghost?"

I was speechless, I was unable to answer Sylvia's question. While it's true what she said, it seems we have no other way to stop him other than sealing him.

As soon as they arrived at Grandes High School, the atmosphere there was already so quiet. There's no one there. Sylvia walked briskly towards somewhere. I already guessed where she was going.

My guess was proven correct when we arrived in front of class 3A which was Marco's class.

Just like that night, at this very moment, I saw Sylvia take out a nameplate from her breast pocket. Then using a pen, she wrote the word 'MARCO' on the sign. Then Sylvia held the nameplate high and began to recite the ritual to seal Marco's ghost.

"O Marco's wandering spirit, your heart filled with desire will be suppressed by me... get into this nameplate and don't ever get out of this nameplate as long as I lock you up. Marco... follow my words, I lock you inside the nameplate this. I told you to get inside this nameplate... Marco... I locked you up!!!"

As Sylvia's ritual ended, the nameplate that Sylvia was holding shook violently. Then slowly Sylvia placed the nameplate on the floor. The nameplate continued to vibrate violently indicating that Marco's ghost was entering it. Then the nameplate stopped moving, Sylvia took it and tied it with black rope.

Flashback Off

"Mrs. Angie! Teacher Angie!"

The call from someone made me flinch. At that moment all my dreams were shattered. Yes, my daydreams are reminiscing about memories.

"Mr. Wiston. Why, sir?" I asked the person who called my name earlier.

"Mrs. Angie has been daydreaming all the time."

I chuckled softly "N-No sir."

"Her recess is over, it's time for you to go to class to teach."

"Oh, yes. I'm sorry. I'll be going soon."

I felt very embarrassed because Mr. Wiston caught me daydreaming. I don't know why lately my memories keep popping up in my head. Looks like... I'll have to ask Leslie for help again.

As soon as today's lesson ended, I immediately sent a message to Leslie asking her to come to my room. I felt relieved when I saw that she complied with my request. Not long after I sent her a message, I saw Leslie accompanied by a man who was none other than her lover, came over to me who was sitting in my chair.

"Hey, Leslie, Sean. You guys are fast, aren't you?" I said hello when they were now standing right in front of me.

"Let's go!"

"Huh?" I gaped because Leslie suddenly said that.

"You told me to come because you wanted to appease the spirit that was sealed by Sylvia, right?" She seemed to have guessed why I called her here.

"Y-Yeah, right."

"Then come on, let's go right now," she said excitedly to my amazement because she's usually not like this when I'm dealing with ghosts.

"Wow, woah, you're so lively, aren't you, Leslie? You're usually afraid of seeing ghosts though."

"I just want to quickly free the sealed spirit. I want to help him to go to his world."

I exhale slowly, that's also what I want now. "Yes, yes, I understand. All right, come on, let's go!"

I took Leslie and Sean to the Headmaster's room. Then I opened the cupboard that was there and took a nameplate that was in the cupboard. Of course, I took the sign that said 'MARCO'

"Angie, there's something I want to ask you," Sean said suddenly.

"What's that?"

"Why is the nameplate which is the tool for sealing ghosts kept in the Headmaster's room?"

"The Headmaster asked for it. I and Sylvia used to be surprised, but now I'm starting to understand why. The Headmaster must have done that because he hoped we would find Celia's ghost."

"But I wonder why you guys didn't seal Celia?" This time it was Leslie who asked.

"That's because we've never seen a figure of her. She's a bad influence on the students in this school but she never shows herself. I'm in awe of the might of a ghost that has long resided in this world. She can hide her aura of presence."

"But why did Celia appear in front of me? She even wants to be friends with me." When she said this, Leslie's face looked sad, maybe because she was remembering her friendship with Celia.

"I don't know, I don't know either. Maybe she feels you have a resemblance to her. Or she wants to get rid of you because you have a special ability."

"Sylvia also has a special ability, but Celia doesn't show herself in front of Sylvia."

"Sylvia's ability is different from yours, Leslie. She can see ghosts but can't communicate with them. They showed you memories so we can help you get to their world in peace."

"Yes. Maybe you're right."

"Hey, enough chattering. Now tell me who is the ghost sealed inside the nameplate?"

Sean's words made Leslie and I realize our purpose in coming to this room.

"You're getting impatient, aren't you, Sean? Do you and Leslie have a date that's why you're in such a rush to sort this ghost thing out?"

Immediately I saw Sean panicked. "I-It's not like that. I was just curious."

Makes me want to tease him. "Ah, really? To be honest..."

"Angie, don't joke around at a time like this!!" Leslie said with serious eyes.

True, now is not the time to joke. I started getting serious again. "All right, all right. I'll explain about this ghost. You guys listen carefully."

Leslie and Sean's faces were completely serious now. They looked straight at me.
