Chapter 8 Lord Darian's Relatives II

Harmony carefully cleaned the already washed dishes and arranged them on top one another

"I heard Lord Darian's relatives would be arriving today" said one of the maids who stood by the counter

"We're going to need more plates on the table. You there..." The head maid said, pointing at Harmony who rinsed her hands "Take those plates to the dining"

Harmony took the set of plates and walked out of the kitchen. Approaching the dining, she tried to avoid the Lord's gaze and placed the plate on the table. Harmony could feel someone's gaze at the side and she knew it was the butler

"Milord...Lady Shirley has arrived" Lennox informed with a low bow. The double sided door to the dining opened and an elegant looking lady walked in. She was a lady in her late forties, her thick black hair was tied to a bun and her red eyes scanned the mansion

Besides her stood her daughter, Sarah. Whose blonde hair was neatly combed to the side and her charming red eyes shone brightly

And her son, Samael. With same shining blonde hair and pretty red eyes

"Milord" Lady Shirley greeted with a bow and her children followed suit

"Lady Shirley" Darian said in reply

"Go brew some hot tea" Lennox said to Harmony to which she left immediately. The family felt and looked strange, what was with the red eyes?

Entering the kitchen, Harmony looked for the teacups of which she couldn't find

"Do you need help? What is it you're looking for?" asked a short haired maid with a friendly smile

"Teacups" Harmony answered and she opened the up drawer to bring out the Teacups "Thank you...Uhm, h-how do I brew the tea?"

"Let me show you" the maid said with a chuckle and she stood by Harmony "By the way, I'm Carmen"

"Harmony" Harmony replied and watched as Carmen opened the lid of the teapot

"I haven't seen your face around here, assumed you to be new?"

"I am" Harmony answered as Carmen showed her the process

"Be careful at the dining, don't make any mistakes. Lady Shirley is a woman with a bad temper" Carmen softly warned

"Hmm..."Harmony didn't know if she was to ask but she was really curious "What's with their eyes? Why are they-"

"Red? You mean you don't know?" Harmony shook her head in response"Serve the tea and I'll clear it all for you later on"
