Chapter 5 Slave I

Harmony played with the hem of her dress as she watched the Lord of the Palace elegantly sitting down. She was dressed in a black and white maid's uniform along with the other maids

His gaze on her made her even more nervous. When she raised her head to glance at him, their eyes locked and a gasp almost escaped her lips, not because their eyes had met but because of his eyes...which were a shade of red

His slender fingers reached out to pick up the glass and he took a sip from the red liquid flowing inside

His eyes then moved back to her and he took note of her features. Her skin was as white as snow, her lips was small and light pink. The shape of face was lovely and her brown and beautiful hair hung above her waist

"Come here" He instructed and he could hear the sound of her heart hammering in her chest. His eyes met with her brown ones which held a tinge of surprise "You don't intend on standing till I'm done with my meal now, do you?" he unhurriedly asked and Harmony looked down at her feet

She slowly walked towards the wide dining table and stood at the side of his chair

"Have a sit" he ordered once again and Harmony did as she was told, she could feel the dangerous vibe coming from him as she sat beside him and the fact that his eyes were red added to the fear that slightly gripped her

"Milord..." the butler said, emerging from the shadows "The councilmen are at the courtroom, awaiting your arrival"

Harmony's eyes were settled on her empty plate as she heard him hum in response

"Milord..."

"You may leave, Lennox" the Lord said, his red eyes not leaving the figure who sat with her head down

With a bow, Lennox glanced at Harmony before turning around to leave

Not once did Harmony's eyes leave the empty place on the table to stare at him. She heard the sound of his footsteps getting distant and only then did she realise that he had left
