Chapter 7 The Mutant Animals

Nathan walked leaving the dazed crowd alone , while he was heading to the class sam ran up to him

" Hi Nathan heard you beat up ben today "

" So that's his name " Nathan said

" Yeah Nathan you are slowly becoming the center of attention recently " Sam said as he pushed the class doors open

They noticed all the students looked at them and started whispering

" News spread really fast" Sam said

Nathan simply ignored the statement and walked to his seat and sat down where he saw Amy

" So tell me Nathan where did you learn how to play rugby " Amy asked " you never told me when we were introducing ourselves "

This question made Nathan's heart beat rise . He didn't know how to play rugby or even answer her question

" Hummmm ...." Nathan was about to lie when the teacher came in and all the students kept quiet

" Indeed a dead body was found yesterday the victim was killed by an animal, a wild one for that matter " The teacher announced " So the government has declared a "Stay at home " starting from 7:00pm so you little teenage rats should stay indoors you hear me ?"

When the teacher spoke it seemed like he hated his job .

After a few hours of teaching the siren rang for recess.

" Come on Nathan let's go to the cafeteria and eat some yummy food" Sam said

Normally anybody would want to taste some delicious delicacy but for Nathan it was a disaster food hasn't been tasting very well to him

But before he could say anything Sam had already dragged him to the cafeteria and they sat down and they

" Can I take a seat " when they looked up to see who spoke they saw Amy as beautiful as always

" Yeah yeah.....sure have a seat "Sam answered with a red face

" Thanks " Amy smiled before sitting next to Sam who was still blushing

" She's sitting right next to me she's so pretty " Sam thought

But Nathan was surprised he heard what Sam just said in his mind

" Woah" He said out loud

" Hummmm Nathan are you okay " Amy asked

" Yes yes I'm very ok" He nervously answered

But Amy still looked at him in suspicion before eating. Nathan knew she was thinking so he tried to hear her but he couldn't

" I guess it was just luck " He sadly thought

" So about the animal killings I figured it was a wolf" Sam said

However Amy reacted weirdly as she started sweating hard

" Wh- wha- what do yo- you mean by a.... a... wolf " She stammered

This was the first time Nathan had seen react like this unless she knew something

" Yes, the FBI found some hair on the body and guess what it was a wolf... " Sam answered

" They will never kill someone for no reason " Amy nervously wondered

" My theory is that a scientist is mutating animals and releasing them to terrorize our poor town " Sam theorized

" Yes ! I think you're right Sam good thinking " Amy complimented which made Sam's face red

However Nathan knew something was wrong with Amy and she may not be the person everyone thinks she is

The siren bell rang for club activities and the three teenagers want to their various clubs

***at the rugby club***

Sam and Nate went to the bench and saw various teenagers slam each other and also tackling each other , where the coach ran towards Nathan

" Hey kid my name is Coach Root " He said pointing to himself " So what's your name "

" Oh I'm Nathan "

" You are really good in rugby so why don't you try and pass those team of good defenders and you'll officially be in our team " Coach Root said

In which Nathan happily went to the field and carried the ball

When coach root blew the whistle he dashed towards the boys .. his body was enhanced now

One of the defenders tried to tackle him but he did a perfect fast spin completely missing the boy

Two more defenders tried to carry him . He suddenly front flipped over them

This performance was making coach root so excited that his ankles were shaking

It remained one defender which was ben whom Nathan recognized

" I'll hit him so hard he'll stay in the hospital " Ben smiled in thought which Nathan heard

But Nathan simply shoved him to the floor passing the line

It was closing time and Nathan noticed he was hungry again so he headed to the shop

" Give me your money now ! " A man with a Demons mask demanded

" Please I have no money " The shopkeeper pleaded

Nathan entered the shop and noticed that it was being robbed my gang members the cause of his father's death ten years ago

The three men with masks were currently beating up the shopkeeper

Nathan's hunger getting worse but he hated gang members so much he couldn't stand them terrorizing the shop he needed to stop them

" Leave him alone " Nathan demanded looking at the ground because his eyes was glowing red

The gang members looked at the boy and noticed it was a short teenage boy and started to laugh as one of them started to walk towards Nathan with a baseball bat

" I'm really hungry right now I don't want to hurt you too much " Nathan said looking at the ground and breathing heavily

This statement made them laugh more. The man with the baseball bat swung it towards Nathan

Nathan caught it and it snapped he swung his fist and it connected to the man's face and he was knocked out

Now the other stopped laughing. They know saw him as a threat able to knock out a giant like that

Nathan wore the fallen gang member mask to cover his glowing eyes he then walked towards another one with no weapon

The gang members with panic threw out barrages of fast punches in which Nathan simply shoved away and he kicked the man's jaw lifting him into the air as he crashed to the floor

" Die " The last member swung his wooden plank towards the masked teenager

Nathan caught it and landed his knee to the man's gut which sent him to his own knees

The shop keeper didn't know what just transpired the weak Nathan which he had known for ten years just defeated three fighters

" I'll need two raw meat please " The masked teenager said giving him the money

" Ok.......... wait....... watch out !!!" The shop keeper said but it was too late the last gang members whom Nathan had just fought had smashed the kid's head with the wooden plank . The weapon had smashed on the impact on hitting Nathan's head

Nathan fell on the floor with blood dripping from his mouth

" Nooo!!" The shopkeeper shouted . No matter how good Nathan was in fighting there was no way he could survive that

Suddenly Nathan stood up with the damaged mask he was looking at the ground

" How the hell are you standing "The man questioned with panic

Nathan walked towards the man making sure only the man could see him

What the man saw was like in a horror film, blood was gushing out from Nathan's forehead and he could see glowing red eyes the man started to pee himself

" Why don't I show you a lesson huh " Nathan asked smiling showcasing his fangs which had grew sharp and long
