Chapter 5 Five

Cleo's POV

As he pressed the tip of his hardened beast to my lips fear coursed through me. I know I had a big mouth, but there was no way that was going to fit anywhere inside me.

"You don't need to fear it. I assure you it doesn't bite. Only I do" the lustful look in his eyes had me gripping him with both hands. There was no way this could be done with one. "No, the guys I've been with have always used condoms" Most she-wolves only fell pregnant with their mate's pup, but that wasn't to say it didn't happen. I'm seventeen, I don't know who I really am and I'm on the run. I would need to get to the chemist as soon as we left here. "You are fucking joking. Well, she isn't going to help me now is she. Does she know her husband is a sleaze ball?" I went to say more when the back of Todd's hand connected with my cheek, the force knocking me to the ground.

"You want to rinse that pretty little mouth out. Words like that are unbecoming of a young lady. Now I will tell you this only once. Should you so much as breath a word of what happened here you will fucking regret it."

"You don't scare me, and you hold no power over me" Todd raised his eyebrow as if amused by my words. It clearly wasn't everyday that a young girl answered him back. I wasn't the type of girl to sit still and shut up. No, my mouth got me into more than enough trouble growing up. Todd grabbed a fistful of my hair pulling me up to meet his angry face when suddenly the sound of jingling keys came from outside of the office. The door opened Sara standing in the entrance. Todd instantly released me before stepping towards her. Her eyes red as tears ran down her face. The look she gave me, gave Todd was of pure pain and anger. Shaking her head and wiping her eyes she walked around us and to the fire surround on the side of the room. Picking up a photo frame she ripped something off the back before smashing the frame on the floor.

"How could you? Fucking answer me god damn it" Her shouting had me cowering. Never had I been at the centre of an Alphas anger before. "You know what let me save you the trouble. Todd we are done. I knew you were up to something so had this here little camera placed on the shelf. Figured I'd catch something and looks like I caught myself a big ole cheating bastard"

"Sara..."

"Don't even try. I want you gone Todd. NOW" Todd growled before storming out of the office. Once he was out of view, Sara turned her attention to me. "Get dressed. Your sister has the information you need. I am well within my rights to end your life here and now, but for not knowing about me and Todd, I will give you a pass. The condition being you leave today." Sara turned and walked away. She didn't attack me; she hadn't thrown abuse at me, and she was letting me keep any information she had gathered. I wanted to thank her but figured it best not to push my luck.

I found Daphne outside and told her what happened. To say she was shocked was an understatement. As we made our way back to the motel Daphne told me what she found out, which wasn't much. She found out my mother was a wolf which we already knew, but my father was someone evil. The witch refused to speak his name out of fear of him coming for her. My mind was racing with who he could be. Turning the corner, the motel was straight ahead only Todd was there leaning against the wall. We slowed down stopping completely when three more men appeared behind him. This was his threat and now he wished to carry it out. Both Daphne and I took off running. Each of us racing to the towns border in the hopes they would stop chasing us. We couldn't have been more wrong. As we reached the forest, we shifted hoping this form would give us the upper hand. The men continued to chase us and as we ran, we weren't keeping an eye on our surroundings. Freya realised there was a cliff and jumped just in time, but Daphne's wolf hadn't seen it. Her wolf Hazel took a fall and tumbled several metres down. I let out an almighty howl hoping and praying that she was ok. When I reached her, she had shifted back to her human form. Her leg was badly broken, the bone jutting out from the skin the blood running down her leg. For a wolf she had a weak stomach and had passed out. Shifting back I spotted a small cave so using my heightened strength I carried her inside.
