After realizing that Nadia was resolute on the issue of the property, the Prentiss family came up with a plan. They bought a huge amount of insurance for Nadia in secret and gave her a lot of high-calorie herbal tonics, claiming that they were for Nadia's weak body.

Nadia, who already had a weak body, was further affected by these tonics. Her body couldn't absorb much nutrition, and the tonics turned into fluid and started to accumulate in her body.

The injury inflicted by the blow was not visible on the victim's body, but it proved to be fatal for Nadia, given her weakened state due to the accumulation of fluid.

After seeing Nadia faint, Mark and Mona pretended that she had just passed out for no reason and quickly rushed her to the ICU to avoid legal repercussions.

Ultimately, Nadia tragically passed away without being able to leave her last words.

Following Nadia's death, Mark and Mona's focus shifted to gaining custody of Delia before inheriting our property. They planned to sell Delia to traffickers once they had possession of the inheritance.

My entire family was left in shock after listening to the recording that Amber had obtained.

We were all shocked to learn that this family had become so depraved and ruthless that they were willing to harm their own daughter for the sake of their greed.

"Oh no, they might try to run since their schemes have failed. Amber, call the police now." I quickly grabbed my phone and checked the surveillance camera. I saw the Prentiss family hastily packing their belongings, indicating their intention to flee.

I immediately pressed the lock button on the app and locked the family inside.

When we arrived with the police to arrest them, Mark and Mona tried to deny their involvement.

Witnessing this, Amber played the recording, revealing to the Prentiss family that she had been helping me all along.

Mona hurled the most vicious curses at us, but she would soon face the consequences of her actions in the form of severe legal punishment.

A month later, the judgment was finally delivered. The Prentiss family received cumulative sentences for multiple crimes. Due to the charge of intentional homicide, they were respectively sentenced to the death penalty and death sentence with a reprieve. They would spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

When I exited the courtroom that day, I stood on the high steps and gazed at the blue sky and white clouds. I couldn't resist shouting, "Nadia, can you see this? I have finally avenged your death. You can now rest in peace. Do not worry. I will ensure that Delia leads a happy life and will not suffer the same tragic fate you did."

Amber stood by my side, tears streaming down her face. Delia was nestled in her arms, her face peaceful and serene.

That night, I had a dream about Nadia for the first time since her death.

In the dream, Nadia appeared in a white gauze dress, attending a grand banquet filled with family members and friends who had already passed away. She was drinking and laughing with them, and her face was radiant with joy.

I interpreted the dream as a message from Nadia telling me that she was content and joyful in the afterlife.
