CHAPTER 5: Black

"Zoriana," My father urged me to move and immediately prepare the food for the... Alpha.

I sighed. I didn't have a choice but to do as he say or else, my father would me mad at me for not following the orders... and I don't really want to make him mad at this moment. Not when my mother and my younger brother is lying on the bed, still unconscious.

I know pretty much that they can hear us today despite their sleeping figure. The pack doctor told us that we should always connect and talk to them as much as possible, that way, they will be more motivated to wake up as soon as possible.

"Are you sure that this doesn't have a poison, Ruthie?" The Alpha said, still sounding so serious and cold despite of the fact that he's making a teasing remark at me.

I glanced at Papa and saw him talking with Jason, so I quickly turned my gaze at the Alpha.

"My father was supposed to eat that. If I have known that you'll end up eating what I cooked for lunch, I would've put a poison here... or a silver." I answered. I didn't mean to be rude right now, but his guts and his words are pushing me to be one.

His face darkened, eyes narrowing at me more as he stared intently. It looks like he was digging right through my soul, like he wanted to see everything that I have hidden inside, and that... he won't stop 'till he dig and find the secret that I've been long hidden inside me.

His jaw clenched. "Watch your mouth, Ruth Zoriana. You're lucky that I am being a little too kind to you, which I don't usually do. So, don't fucking push me to be a devil right in front of you. Coz' you might not like it... at all."

Shivers ran down to my spine when he mentioned my whole name. He is indirectly warning me not to disrespect him in any way, and I admit, it threatened me. It made me scared. But, what can I do when my mouth always chooses to be violent everytime that I am in front of him? It feels like my mouth has its own brain that moves without even being told.

Mama might be just right about my mouth. That it will soon endanger me... or worst, can kill me.

When the Alpha and Jason left the room, my mind couldn't still seem to forget about what the brute Alpha said.

I don't want to be threatened and to feel scared, but I couldn't help it. I just don't know what have gotten into my mind and.I suddenly decided to talk back to the new Alpha.

But technically, my family isn't part of this pack anymore. We had already decided to leave once Mama and Randall woke up, and that officially made us a Rogue with no pack to be called a home. Although, it wasn't made after the pack's rule, still, we're considered a Rogue now because it has already been decided that we'll left once Mama and Randall woke up. At least, that's what father said to me.

So, there's really no reason for me to follow his orders. As what I've said, he has no hold of me and my family at all. We're not part of the Onyx Tails, but in the Blue Moon Pack.

"What... is happening here?"

My forehead creased in confusion as I watched the male and female fought with each other in the field, and in the middle of the scorching hot sun!

It has been two days since my encounter with the new Alpha, and I was more than glad that he hasn't been showing himself after what he told me in the hospital two days ago.

It was in the afternoon after two days when Jason came to the hospital and told me that I was being called by Alpha Lucien. Jason doesn't know the reason when I asked him, so I am still in the middle of confusion right now as to why am I being called by the Alpha.

We were about to go inside the Alpha's office inside his mansion when the scene greeted me. In front of the mansion where the large field is were the female and male pack members fighting each other under the heat of the sun.

"What the fudge is happening, Jason?" I asked in a soft tone of voice, but the seriousness is dripping in it, and I know that he was slightly moved by that.

He rubbed his nape, a hesitant smile broke out of his lips as he stared at me. "Uhm... they're... training?"

And he's unsure of his answer! What the heck?!

I shook my repeatedly, a frown is starting to form on my face.

"I'll understand it if you'll say that the male pack members are training, but the female?! Heck. I don't understand why they're under the scorching heat of the sun, fighting with each other, and there were even kids! What the heck is wrong with all of you?!" I asked, panicking with the fact that my packmates are being treated this way!

Jason sighed. "It was the Alpha's order, Miss Zori, and we couldn't say no-"

"Oh, of course I can! I can say no to him because he is not my Alpha!" I shouted at him. "Guide me to his office! I'm gonna hit some senses in his head! I'm sure that's the thing that lacks in him!"

He's too cruel! Why would he let the females to train?! They're not supposed to do that!

Of course, all the female can train and fight. They have their own liberty to do that, but right at this moment, it is not right to train them this early because I know that they're currently under emotional stress after what happened to our pack! My packmates deserves to rest, at least! My packmates deserves to mourn for their lost loved ones, but unfortunately, they're not given the chance to because of the cruelty of the newly elected Alpha!

I was sure as hell that I was extremely so angry with the fact that Lucien is belittling my packmates, but then...

I think it all vanished for a second when the disgusting scene inside his office greeted me.

"Oh, shit..." I heard Jason's whisper behind me when he saw the scene inside too.

My lips parted, my mouth went dry as I watched how he held the woman's waist and squeezed her butt tightly.

They are kissing wildly! And I know that I should've closed my eyes already right now... or look away, but my eyes seemed to be glued with the scene in front.

It was... my first time seeing such lewd scene! Although, they weren't fully naked, but still, they're doing something considered as nasty already! And the fact that they're holding and kissing each other like there's no tomorrow, it's already a lewd thing for me!

Suddenly, the brute opened his eyes while he was kissing the woman's exposed neck while I stood there, frozen like an ice. He looked at me intently before he smirked playfully.

And I noticed that his eyes weren't emerald green eyes anymore. It was... black this time, like the black hole that is ready to swallow you whole. It was like the unending abyss of darkness.

Is this Lucien? Because this man right here seemed to be far more different from the Lucien who has a beautiful pair of emerald green eyes.

Lucien with the emerald green eyes is cold, ruthless... and an asshole. But, I am annoyingly comfortable around that brute.

But this man? With the black eyes, who looks exactly like Lucien has a playful aura around him. A playboy perhaps.

"Hey there, sugar. You wanna join?"

My lips parted... in pure shock and disgust.
