Chapter 5 My Child

"Pregnant?" He again repeated the word looking at me shockingly. I wiped the sweat from my forehead.

"Yes, she is pregnant... That's why she had a bp problem and she fainted in the morning" Aunt Jennifer said.

"Pregnant" He started laughing looking at me. I can feel his pain in his laughing voice... the pain of betrayal... He already thinks I cheated on him and now this pregnancy news.

"What happened?" Stefan asked, looking at Aaron. Everyone was looking at him confusingly while he was laughing like a maniac. He stood up from the chair.

"Congratulations Mrs Aana" he muttered and looked at everyone. "I'm done... thank you for the dinner," he said and went outside. I wiped my tears before anyone noticed it and stood up from the chair.

"I'm not starving. I will eat later" I mumbled and went behind Aaron. I want to tell him that he was getting me wrong. I'm indeed pregnant but with his baby. Today, I will not repeat the same mistake which I did earlier. I will tell him that I'm pregnant with him. It was his child.

I ran in the direction where he went and after a while, my eyes went on him. He was walking in the park back and forth... he always did this to calm his anger. He didn't change... he is the same. He is my Aaron who still loves me, cares for me, and adores me.

"Ohh.. hello Mrs Aana," He said when his eyes went on me. I went towards him and tried to hold his hand but he moved back.

"Don't you dare to touch me with your dirty hand?"

"Aaron" I looked at him dumbstruck.

"just go away.. please... before I lose control over my anger just go" He muttered and turned his face to another side.

"no... this time I will not go. I will not repeat the same mistake which I did 1 month ago. I know you're thinking that I betrayed you but Aaron, I'm pregnant"

"Don't" He yelled, cutting me in between. "Don't use your child's name for clearing your character"

"Aaron... I know you're angry but please first listen to me"

"why? Why should I listen to you? Who are you to me?"

Tears rolled down my eyes. I don't know how to calm him. There was a time when he never got angry with me for anything and now he is so furious that he doesn't even want to listen to me.

"why? Why Aana? Why do you do that to me? Why did you betray me?" He pulled me towards him, holding me tightly with my arms.

"Aaron," I mumbled. He held me so tightly that it was hurting me.

"where I lack Aana.. didn't I love you with my everything." He asked.

"Aaron, it's not like what you're thinking... yes I'm pregnant but"

"Dare you to use your child for clarifying your mistake. I know that I should not have asked you to leave me. I should have given you a chance, but how could you do this to me? How could you move on so easily? I'm still stuck and you... Look at you... You're pregnant with someone" I closed my eyes hearing his words. He left me with a jerk. I was about to fall but someone held me. I look at my side, finding my brother glaring at Aaron.

"Mr Aaron, be within your limit" Stefan grunted.

"Stefan... No"

"whose baby is this?" Aaron asked.

"Aaron, please listen to me once," I said, wiping my tears. I went towards him and held his arm.

"Stefan is the father of this child?" He asked out of nowhere.

"Aaron," I yelled. I turn my face to the other side to calm myself. If we both get angry then there is no point in talking. I took a deep breath and then I turned toward Aaron.

"Please calm down... I know you're angry with me but listen to me once. When you throw me out of the house. that day Stefan was the one who helped me" I said and looked at my brother who always protects me from that day when I lose everything in my life. He is doing everything for me and my child without having any blood relation.

"Ohh.. so now you're taking advantage of your child for the reason of betraying me. You were alone and he gave you shoulder so you got involved with him and now you're pregnant with his child. this is all that you want to say right"

I was numb after hearing his accusations. He never listens to me and maybe there is a lack in our relationship.

"Well, It's good that it is not my child because if it was my child then it will not let him/her stay with you even a minute. I would take him/ her away from a mother like you. So far that your shadow wouldn't fall on my child and I won't even let you see my child's face" He uttered leaving me in shock. I kept both hands on my belly.

"You can't do that"

"You know very well what I can do and what I can't. '' He smirked. "hold on" he turned towards me and I moved back.

"How many months are you pregnant?" He asked, eyeing me suspiciously.

"5 months" I lied. I don't want to reveal that it is his baby when I know that he will snatch my baby from me after knowing everything. I said the months of my pregnancy in such a way that Stefan won't get any hint about us being werewolf. I looked at Aaron who was glaring at me angrily. If I would have said 7 months according to humans and delivered my baby after 2 months or if I also said the truth that I'm 1 month pregnant with his child then he would have guessed that it is his baby and then he would have snatched my baby from me after her birth. He is like this only. what he wants, he will get it by hook or crook.

"Great... now get the hell out of my eyesight" he grumbled. I flinched and moved back. Stefan holds me by my shoulder.

"Calm down... I'm with you and when I'm here no one can harm you" Stefan said glaring at Aaron. I didn't say anything and went to my room. Only Aaron's words roamed in my mind.

'It's good that it is not my child because it was my child then it will not let him/her stay with you even a minute. I would take him/ her away from a mother like you. So far that your shadow wouldn't fall on my child and I won't even let you see my child's face

I clutched the bed sheet tightly because of my panic attack. I took out pills from the door and was about to take them when Stefan held my hand.

"Aana... No." He said taking the tablet from my hand.

"please Stefan I need it... his words were roaming in my mind.. what if... please let me take this medicine otherwise I will go crazy. I want to sleep," I said, breathing heavily. "Please Stefan"

"Are you gone mad? Did you forget you're pregnant and these high-dose medicines can harm your child" he scoffed. I clutched his shirt and hugged him like a little sister

"I can't live without my child brother... what if he took my child away from me... please brother do something, please... I don't want to lose my child" I cried out

"I will not let that happen... no one can snatch your child away from you... don't worry I will not let him even touch you and your child" He said moving his hand on my hair.

I didn't say anything, just kept crying in his arms...

"Who is he?" Stefan asked when I calmed a little bit.

"He is the father of my child," I said, breaking the hug.

"Father" I heard a voice from the door. I immediately stood up from the bed and turned around. My fear of losing my child increased when I saw the owner of the voice.
