Adonis was't use to it. He had never slept out of home for if he tried such, his mother would definitely kill him the following morning when he returns.
Unlike Merrick who answered all of Eden's questions, the young girl shut Adonis off when he raised questions about the place. She told him little. "This is a martial art world, anyone can walk their way to you and strip off your throat with the government saying nothing, except you were a noble or consult that your murderer can be brought to justice" she had said during the cold night were they spent together.
Adonis felt terrified on hearing such a cold news. It never happened back at his village, everyone murdered was brought to justice. Their king would never allow his subject to be murdered in cold blood and not get the justice they deserved.
In as much as he had other questions to ask her, he was scared to do so because she threatened him if he dare asked any more questions then he was putting his life on the line.
The girl never liked talking, Her actions were her words. "If you want to ask any more questions, then pick up my sword and fight me, and if you win, I'll give you answers to all your worries" she had told him during the dark hours of the night.
Adonis knew he couldn't do that, even though he had not seen her fight before. He knew someone like her was very powerful judging from the way she dressed and the sword she carried.
The girl never dressed anything like others he had seen in his village. She was more into battle wears, short skirts and short tops which looked rather old fashion compared to that used in the modern world.
He had to figure out things on his own if he couldn't ask her questions. Adonis had decided to trust his own inner thoughts for the second time of his life.
After he had wondered around with her all through the day he decided to believe that he had travelled back to time and was now some place in ancient China during the ruin of the great king who let his people into battle with the wolf clans.
He had been taught in school about the ancient city of great China and so made up his own story of it after not getting everything he needed about the history of ancient China. He only picked up things of the war of a great king who ruled over China at the time and his battle with the wolves. As of the rest he never cared to listen to the teacher and so now had little knowledge about the whole story he was on to.
He was pretty much happy with that thought on his mind and still waited to hear the girl's own story about what the place was.
"Don't you just run away and forget me" He said catching up with her who was walking like a moving train that doesn't stop until it reaches it's destination.
He followed her through the woods, across a stream and yet she never talked. She only had her attention on the road. Adonis wasn't feeling happy walking with a person who wouldn't want to have a conversation.
"I bet there should be food waiting for us where you're going?" He asked having to feel tired and hungry.
"A man doesn't complain of hungry, he should think about his mission and success" she uttered taking a one sided glimpse at him.
" So are you saying I shouldn't care about my survival rather care about some useless mission?" he asked then finishing his statement" I'll rather abort mission and get myself a hot stewed chicken".
She remained silent but Adonis who found the atmosphere more open now didn't look to stop talking.
"You do know I haven't had a single thing enter my mouth since yesterday," he said " not even water had dropped inside"
"Shiiiip!" she placed her sword on Adonis's mouth. He became silent immediately she carried out this action.
"I hate it when people keep complaining around me," she uttered " I could kill them immediately and walk off the coast without a single soul coming for revenge" she added and letting go of Adonis who looked scared.
" There's an inch up front, we will stop there and eat something before I continue, then you can go your way" she said just after turning her back against him.
"Why am I scared each time she does this?" Adonis murmured to himself feeling angry and a caward not to have stood up to her.
After all she had a sword which she could use at anytime to kill him and he wasn't planning on fighting the only person he'd met so far and again saved his life.
The girl was the only way to finding her sister who now he was going to verify if her sister was the princess Eden the young warrior had mentioned.

"hew" The guard who had ride the royal carriage said stopping the horses from moving any more further as a young man had blocked their way.
"Who are you?" the guard asked " talk now or get killed for blocking the royal carriage" he added while the guards who walked behind the carriage surrounded the man.
"I didn't expect you to arrive here so early consult Jade" he spoke out taking a bow in front of the carriage.
"Who are you young man, you even know it's me, who is inside the royal carriage?" Consult Jade questioned.
"It is me who sent you the pigeon with a massage about the princess" He uttered and the guards tightened their grip of their swords.
If he made any wrong move they were ready to arrest him and send him to prison were those who try to hurt the royal families were kept.
Consult Jade walked out of the carriage and now became visible to the young warrior who he saw taking a bow at him.
"Where is the Princess?"
"She is asleep, I shall take you to her once I get the reward the king offers to who so ever that finds his daughter" he said not daring to look at consult Jade.
"You don't have to worry about money, once I see the princess I shall give you money in abundant" Consult Jade announced feeling impatient to get the Princess back to the palace.
"I don't want money" he said shocking everyone of the guards who had surrounded him " I want to work for the king, even if it means being a guard for him" he begged.
Consult Jade couldn't say anything, he was only instructed to bring back the princess and reward her Savior. He didn't agree anything with the king on bring the one who saved the princess to the palace.
"Please take me in consult Jade," he pleaded going down on his knees and taking a bow on the ground and not having to stand back up "I only want to serve the king and no one else".
Consult Jade breathed out, after thinking about what to do with the situation he was now facing. He had to make a quick decision for he needed to get the princess as fast as possible and head back to the palace.
" What's your name young man?"
The young man brought his head up."My name is Merrick, a martial art warrior who has eradicated so many of Leopard's wolves and fought with great martial art masters," he exclaimed putting his hands together like a discipline honouring his master.
"Bring me the princess and your wish shall be granted" Consult Jade had decided. If he took him to the palace then he was ready to explain things to the king and he knows he will listen to him.
Merrick walked back to where Eden was sleeping and carried her. He was wise to have poisoned her during the time they ate together... He was afraid of waking up the next morning and noticing she was gone and so had to do it in other not to lose his opportunity of working for the king.
"Here she is consult Jade" Merrick presented her before him.
"Why is she not awake, ?" Consult Jade asked. The guards had let down their swords and put them back in their shill.
"She had a lot of food to eat last night and so will only wake up after four hours of sleep" He explained and now consult Jade let him enter the carriage with her.
The guards all turn the carriage around and walked back to the Palace while Consult Jade, Merrick and the Princess were inside the carriage waiting to reach the kingdom of Annapolis.
