Chapter 8 Dad, what happened nine years ago

GABRIEL'S POV

How could see humiliate me in front of the whole school,who does she think she is?

"Temmy Akinsola the daughter of doctor Akinsola." Yemi said i roll my eyes.

"I don't think she humiliate you,she save her school daughter from you after all you've dealt with her before her arrival." Ebuka said,i glare at him,he shrugged.

"Take heart bro,we all know she never liked you not after you broke her sister's heart."

"Seriously,i don't know why you keep deceiving yourself,i know you never dated teniola for the dare,you only dated her to get close to Temmy." Ebuka state, i scratch the back of my neck.

*Caught."

"Thats a big fat lie." I said. They stare at me

"You always scratch your neck when you lie."

"Huh." I dropped my hand they laughed.

"Lover boy."

"You don't need to deny it,we all know you had a crush on her." Yemi stated winking at me, what type friends are they.

"Thats not true." I muttered.

"See he is blushing."

"Awww lover boy."

"Stop."

"Honestly,i don't like her,i can't like a coldie." I said rolling my eyes

"Humm." Ebuka hummed nodding his head teasely.

"He said he doesn't like her." He said to yemi

" But he had a crush on her." Yemi teased.

"Crush and like is it not the same?."

"Nope, according to prof Gabriel,its not." Yemi teased, i stone them with folded papers,they ran out laughing loudly.

"I don't know why i have assholes as friends,both are psychopath.

TENIOLA

I stared at Temmy thinking of what happened at the cafe, to say i was amused is understatement. She gave her jacket to help a junior from getting bullied by Gabriel, actually it wasn't a bull.

I stare at her as she drives, she had given our driver a month off for reason best known to her, sometimes,i felt like i knew her while sometimes whatever she does prove me wrong.

"Do i look new?" She inquired her eyes concentrated on the road.

"Yes, you amused me at the cafe." I said,she kept mute.

"You're so soft to her which you've never done to me." I muttered as a matter of fact.

"Do you like her?"

"I don't know,may be her cute face rob me." She replied. I nodded.

" Her cute face?"

"Her cute face remind me of someone."

"Who if i may asked?"

"A friend of mine that died nine years ago." She said through gritted teeth with her fist tightened on the stirring.

I keep mute not saying anything

I think alot happen nine years ago , what ever it is i will find out.

"Hi dad." I greeted stepping into his office. My dad owns hospital which has branches across the nation,his hospital his one of best hospital in the country.

"Princess." He called raising his head from the book he was reading*scientific book* i guess.

I kissed his cheeks before sitting on one of the seat Infront of his desk.

"No client today?" I inquired.

"Its my leisure time." He responded removing the glasses he was using to read. He gazed at the door.

"Are you expecting someone?" I inquired with brow raised.

"Yes......your s..... never mind, why are you here?"

"I miss you dad." I said,he stared at me suspiciously

"You come here missing me only when you need something."

"Fine you caught me but I'm not here for money, I'm here for someelse ." I stated.

"Which is ?"

"Will you be able to answer my question?"

"If its not difficult?"

"Its not." I replied my gazed pinned on him

"I'm all ears."

"Dad,what happened nine years ago?"i inquired watching him. He heaved and sat properly resting his back on his swirling chair.

"That i can't tell." He replied not looking at me

"Dad it......"

"Tenny drop the topic." He said coldly, i sighed something really happened.

AMARACHI

What happened at school played in my head,have never seen Temmy like that,she was different , every words she said was soft only when she replied Gabriel was she cold.

The girl must be lucky.

I really need to be her friend, maybe i should start from the girl.
