Chapter 3 3

Chapter 3

I knew that I had to bring a lot of food inside that day. In a few hours the delivery truck would arrive, and on that day I not only had to store goods non"stop, but I also had to continue serving the people.

She would have liked to have a male colleague who could help her, but they were all women.

She was a bit sleepy, she had not been able to sleep because of the excitement of having been seen by the gynecologist yesterday.

She dreamed, over and over again, of what might happen at the next doctor's appointment.

This day was no exception. She looked out of the corner of her eye, through the door with every passing minute, hoping to see her platonic love enter through that huge glass door.

But as the hours went by, that hope began to fade.

In spite of being very anxious to see him, the guy had not made his appearance. That partly disturbed and saddened her greatly. She did not know if it was because the man had gotten under her skin, or because she was nervous and did not know what to talk to him about.

Besides, that man assumed that she had a disease related to some fungus, or some sexual disease.

The problem was that she was already convinced that if she told him the truth, the man would be offended, and if she told him she was a virgin, she would have no reason to be treated.

So she had chosen to lie.

She began to think about the best way to achieve her goal.

Although she didn't know if she was doing the right thing.

The next day, it was time to bring in crates of hamburgers and fruit. Those moments would be quite frustrating. It didn't always happen, but when it did, we knew it was an exhausting day because not only do we have to carry boxes and boxes of heavy things, but we also have to serve the customers.

There was Melissa, Ana and I were entering non"stop that.

"My hands hurt," Mel protested.

"My sciatic," said Ana.

"I don't feel anything anymore," I complained.

"We look like a couple of old men, we should go exercise," Mel replied:

"Ana works out, right?"

"Yes... because of my scoliosis."

"What are you waiting for, you have to be our personal trailer! "Mel replied excitedly.

"She's a trainer, and yes, anytime. It would do Gis good to have a super body for the gynecologist."

"Hey, Mel, she wants to dance a trailer," I said amused, as a box went in.

When I was on my way out, I had taken two. I thought I could, but as I was about to go in, I saw in slow motion, the top one slide to the floor.

"Shit! Noo! Don't get crushed to death," I protested.

There were oranges rolling all over the sidewalk.

I almost died, the moment they started spilling out into the street. I would throw myself out as they saw what a mess I had made.

It was worth sacrificing myself!

I sighed with my eyes, saucers. I immediately bent down to pick them up, when a voice made me pay attention to him.

"I thought my patient was in pain," my gynecologist was standing next to me, laughing.

I wanted to take an orange and throw it at him to make a nice lemonade.

Or, you say?

"I guess it will do my hair good," he said amused.

"Oh, no... "I said in a mumble, I had said that out loud.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," he teased."

Something incredible happened, he bent down to my height: he rolled up his sleeves and started picking oranges.

He was dressed casually, he even had on a shirt that liked every muscle in his body. I gawked, as he picked all the oranges scattered on the ground. The little sunshine he had, and radius to his orange hair illuminating everything around him .s I could even swear I had been dazzled, with his orange hair.

I looked at him so surprised, I was stunned.

"Aren't you going to help me?"

"Oh, yes, thank you," I murmured, with a smile.

I had brought in fifteen narabjas.

Some of them were even pretty beat up, but it didn't matter, at least we had saved most of them. At this point, not only had I taken the opportunity to not get fired, but also after moving it a few more minutes.

I was so happy!

I was about to look for one that was almost across the street. I went straight to it, without first looking to see whether or not a vehicle was coming.

"Be careful! "I was surprised to see that I was in the arms of the sexy gynecologist.

"What? "I looked around confused, I didn't understand the situation.

"You almost got run over, all because you were looking for an orange."

"Did you save me? "I wanted to know, with a raised eyebrow and a half smile on my lips.

"I didn't want your death to be so painful: die for saving an orange."

I couldn't help laughing, between the crates and that handsome guy: he sat at the same table as always.

I put on my apron, walked towards him to take his order.

"What do you need?"

"A coffee, croissants and juice " he answered without looking at me.

"The one you didn't drink?"

"Yes... that one."

"Will you drink it? "I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes, miss."

"Well, right away."

I turned around ready to take the order, when I bumped into Ana.

"What happened? I saw them picking tomatoes, they looked adorable."

"Adorable? I almost died of embarrassment, I said out loud: I wanted to throw an Orange on her head."

"An adorable romance," said Ana, and walked away.

It had been several days since I had seen him, it was strange. But I always looked out the door, waiting for him to come in.

One day I had been sent to pick up some sachets of special coffee, of I don't know what. When I turned down a street and saw him, he was standing there with a smile on his face and a very pretty girl. He stroked her back, with love and care.

I didn't understand at that moment, something in me was shattered. I looked surprised, my reflection: a girl with dark circles under her eyes and tears in her eyes saw me.

When I got to the café, Ana approached me with concern, apparently I looked really bad.

"Gi? "she asked carefully.

"I... he was so happy with her, I think I had gotten used to the idea of seeing him here. I'm such a fool," I snorted.

" No... you're the best person I know and maybe he has problems to deal with.

" Yes... Is he coming back? "I wanted to know.

" No"

For the rest of the day, I was somewhat sad. My feelings, though, were disguised behind responsibility and pressure. When it was closing time, and I was with my bag in my hand ready to leave, he came in.

I snorted, I wasn't good at this doing nothing thing. I was so lost deciding whether the vest the air tech had: it was more like orange or yellow.

"What are you doing? "Mel was standing next to me trying to see what I was seeing.

"What do you think, is the vest yellow or orange? "I wanted to know.

"Are you that bored?" she asked laughing.

"Yes... they made me come all the way here for the technician."

Our boss was well bitter, though, just as well and gas consumption came very overpriced. Dog and decided to remove all the heating, and put an air. But who had to be early, it was me.

I sighed.

"I think... "Ana narrowed her eyes, while eating some potatoes and finally said: it's dark yellow.

"Yes... That's what I thought."

"Now tell me... Did she take the Lugo or not? "he said, referring to the imbecile.

"The good man did take it."

"Good man? "she asked amused.

"Am I a good man now? I'll have to drink orange juice more often."

That guy was standing in front of the counter with an amused look at me.

I saw him, if he was the worst thing I could see at seven thirty in the morning.

"Why are you here so early? "I wanted to know.

He said nothing, shrugged his shoulders. I walked with elegant steps to table nine: the one he always used. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ana laughing at my bad luck.

I snorted, but I was already heading in her direction.

"Good morning, what are you going to order?"

"The same as always," she said without looking at me, always.

"Right away, thank you very much."

I was walking in the direction of the counter, with the paper in my hands.

I went over some of the tables, which were a bit sticky. Not to say anything about the night waitresses, but they cleaned badly. I always had to give them a once over, I had even complained and everything was still the same.

I snorted.

That guy raised his hand, I put the broom aside. I put on my best smile and said:

"Do you need anything?"

"Can I have another coffee?"

"Won't that hurt?"

He didn't even look at me, I rolled my eyes and walked to get his order.

"What's with that face? "Mel came to my side curious.

"It was indifferent, always."
