"I have nowhere to go" said Sylvia, still tugging at his shirt then he whirled around to look at her. There was a hint of frustration that could be seen in his eyes but it was not very obvious.
"Is that something i should be concerned about?"
Sylvia sighed, her eyes lowered, lashes fluttering as she tucked her hair behind her ear before looking back at him with bright eyes "I was hoping you could help me just for a few days until i find what i'm in this town for" she looked as if she was hesitating before saying "Would you let me stay a few more days?"
The way she looked at him tugged a string in his heart and he knew it. He knew very well in his head what she was trying to do and while his wolf was very welcoming to this, he wasn't. He wouldn't fall for tricks like this. Damian looked at those fair hands which were holding onto the corner of his shirt, he placed his hands atop hers and slowly peeled them off him before walking away in large strides and leaving her there.
He needed to send a warning to that little brother of his.
Sylvia stared at his back as he left. She clenched her fists. This was not working the way she wanted. She needed to use another method so she followed him. Almost running to keep up with his large strides but when she finally did, they were already in the living room and she quickly took a leap to his front, spreading her hands out to stop him from taking another way. He was pretty much avoiding her.
Kai, Kellen, Gerald and the two young witches were all there and they shifted their attention to the two the moment they stepped in.
"If that's your decision then you will have to throw me out!" said Sylvia, raising her chin. Since seduction was not working in her favour, she had to resort to being shameless.
Damian looked at her, his hands buried in his pocket "You think that I can't?"
When she met his gaze, she felt a bit oppressed. He looked like he really wouldn't mind throwing her out if it came to that. Why was he so heartless?!
"Can you?" She raised her chin higher in challenge, wondering what he was going to do. His eyes narrowed at her and the next moment she felt herself being swept up from the floor and into his arms. He carried her and started to walk towards the door before dumping her outside. Heartlessly.
The others who were witnessing this scene were speechless. What was going on?
Shit! Sylvia landed on her butt. Her face was red from both embarrasment and anger.
"Your friends will join you out here and you can leave. Don't make me repeat myself"
Sylvia grinded her teeth against each other in anger. She was not one to give up "You heartless jerk!"
Just when he turned around and was about to leave, she stood up and rushed towards him in an attempt to shove him but as she reached him, she changed her mind and instead, wrapped her hands around him tightly, hugging him and resting her head on his back.
She felt him stiffen for a very short while before he started to peel her fingers open with force in order to loosen hiself from her clutches. Damn woman! She was trying so hard and he wanted to tell not to waste her time as he was never going to give in. He knew what could happen if he did. He knew exactly what she was looking forward to.
In front of him, she found she was not all that strong. He easily got out of her hold then pushed her away and she staggered back. With that push he gave her, Sylvia suddenly felt dizzy, her vision doubled then she fell on the hard floor and everything went black immediately. It was all too sudden.
When the others saw this, their eyes widened. Gerald quickly rushed over to hold her and Damian looked away in contempt. When Kai and Kellen rushed out too, he gave them a look and they paused "She's pretending. You better not fall for that" he told them and was going to walk away when he took one last glance and saw Gerald's anxious face and his hands which went to the back of her head came out covered in her blood.
Damian froze, and just stood there. His legs were not moving even when he wanted them to.

Hours later, the doctor they had called for finished examining Sylvia and stepped out of the room to meet both Damian and Kellen waiting outside. Damian held a cigarette between his fingers but he didn't light it up and just played with it.
"You said everything was fine the last time" Damian's cold voice sounded and the doctor gulped. This wasn't his fault okay?
"I also mentioned for her to get enough rest and not to move about. She hit her head bad and she needs at least a few days to recover from that. I also told you her healing was slow so is her recovery" The doctor stated making Damian suddenly feel like it was his fault.
"In order words, she's not completely fine yet?"
"Yes" The doctor answered and Damian gave him a nod which was his cue to leave.
"What will you do?" Kellen asked him after the man left but he remained silent for a long while, still playing with the cigarette before finally throwing it away.
"She will stay"
Kellen's eyes widened at this "If the old man finds out about this-"
"I will deal with him myself" Damian interrupted and without waiting for him to say any other thing, he left.
Kellen sighed, feeling a bit frustrated. He already noticed Damian had a soft spot for this woman the moment he carried her in his arms and came inside the house that day. It wasn't everyday he does that. But there was something, something that told him that things were going to get much more complicated than it already has.
He remembered what Kai told him the other day in front of the restaurant. That she was destined to die. He felt a feeling of dread of what was to come now that they were getting more entangled with her.
