Chapter 6 You're Not Hopeless, You're My Mate

Bronze Hotel owned a secret chain hotel which is owned by Aiden Lewis is popularly known and frequented by both shifters and humans.

Aiden Lewis who had just finished showering was tying a towel on his lower body when his beta Lincoln Grey walked in with a file in his hand.

"These are the information I got about the girl," Lincoln mumbled, handed the file to Aiden, and sat down on the sofa casually.

Although Aiden was certain that the woman he spent the night with was the daughter of his benefactor, he still had his doubts.

He quickly went through the file and discovered that she was indeed the girl who he had been searching for.

"Her name is Whitney Cole," Aiden said softly and nodded his head while thinking of something.

"I heard from the spies we have in the pearl pack that she was treated less than a human and was made the pack's slave. She had a miserable life in the pack" Lincoln explained and Aiden's face turned gloomy.

"Get the car ready, we're going to the pearl pack" he asserted and walked to the closet where he changed into grey pants, a white shirt, and a brown winter jacket.

He wore Adidas sneakers and left the hotel with Lincoln Grey in a black Tesla.

Meanwhile, at the pearl pack, everyone was gathered in the square to watch the pathetic omega getting banished from the pack.

"What are you lying there for? Do you want the alpha to escort you out of the pack? You will only get yourself thrown into the dungeon forever if you don't leave" Monica, the girl that has her eyes on Ashlyn White said mockingly.

Whitney has already made her choice and that was to leave this pack with nothing, she was already humiliated.

Leaving without anything won't be that bad, at least she would be free from all this torture.

Whitney struggled to stand and staggered out of the alphas villa without clothes or undergarments.

She was staggering through the pack square which was on the same route that leads to the pack's gate with the pack members watching while some were cursing and throwing dirt at her some lustful men were only thinking of how to covet her body.

Ashlyn stood up and walked up to Whitney with an evil smirk he whispered in her ear, "I'm giving you a second chance to choose, be my sex slave and you can enjoy all the goodness of this pack. Even the strongest warrior would answer to you".

Whitney was disgusted by Ashlyn's presence that she spat on his face and sneered at him, "I'll rather turn rogue or die in the woods than let you have me as your slave", she said with a mocking smile.

Ashlyn was so angry that he clenched his fist while gnashing his teeth, "you little bitch! I gave you the chance but you threw it down the hills. Don't regret it later" he uttered after taking a deep breath.

Ashlyn strode past Whitney and pushed her out of the way with his shoulder.

"Bang!" Whitney bumped into something hard and lost her balance.

A strong hand caught her preventing her from falling and also draped his clothing on her.

Whitney looked up with her clear bright eyes and her eyes instantly widened as she noticed that it was the man that took her first time.

'Is he here to berate me for throwing myself at him, if it's so he wouldn't have covered me with his jacket or helped me when I was falling? Well, I deserve everything I got because I'm hopeless' Whitney thought she had mumbled these words inwardly.

However, someone responded, "You're not hopeless, you're my mate!" Whitney snapped out of a trance and then realized that she must have said the word out.

Ashlyn, who was watching a good show, was mad that someone was disrupting his show and walked towards Whitney and the lycan king.

"I'm sorry your highness, she is my slave and can't be taken away. This is a Pack issue and you shouldn't meddle in it" Ashlyn asserted with a furious glare.

"Who do you think you're staring at the lycan king like that? Kneel to your king" Lincoln said with a cold voice that carries authority showing that he was the Lycans beta.

Meanwhile, Aiden waved his hand and pulled Whitney closer to his chest.

"She is mine! My mate and I'm taking her away, does alpha Ashlyn White of the Pearl pack have a problem with that?" Aiden asked calmly but his tone sounded frightful that one could pee on his pants.

Ashlyn chuckled abruptly, "No, your highness, you can take her away. Since she's your mate, but I've to tell you that she's also my mate" Aiden frowned and shot daggers at Ashlyn.

"If I'm to clear this misunderstanding, alpha Ashlyn has rejected Miss Cole and now she is mated to my alpha king of lycans. She belongs to him, now step back or risk endangering your pack if you go against your king" Lincoln Grey affirmed word for word.

Ashlyn White was lost for words as he watched Whitney being carried out of the pack's territory in front of him, he was so mad and embarrassed that a mere slave that he treated like a dog was accepted by the lycan king.

How can he compare to the lycan king who is his superior and the king of werewolves? This was a slap in the face and he was not going to let it go.

"What are you all still doing here? Get lost!" Angered and consumed with fury for the Lycan king, he could only take out his anger on the innocent pack members who ran out of the pack's square afraid that their alpha had gone berserk and might attack them.

Whitney Cole was taken to one of the Lycan king's villas where she was treated by a professional doctor, she could have healed quickly like other werewolves if she had gotten her wolf, but at twenty she was still wolfless.

"We will talk after you get better," Aiden Lewis said to the frail woman lying on the bed with a tired look and left the room without waiting for her to respond.

"Ain't you going to tell her? She's your benefactor's daughter" Lincoln asserted while trotting behind Aiden.

"It's not necessary, since she's safe. I've nothing to worry about" Aiden responded and walked into his room slamming the door in Lincoln's face.

"You wicked man! I helped you out today and this is what I got" Lincoln scoffed and left the door with a sullen face.

Many days have passed and Whitney has gotten better, she was left alone with some servants and doctors to care for her on a private island where Aiden owns an enormous villa.

She still recalls the Lycan king's words and would wait for him every day in the living but he never arrives.

The questions in Whitney's heart weigh her down that she could've seek Aiden out if she knows the way to his castle.

Meanwhile, Aiden Lewis had only saved his benefactor's daughter and kept her safe, therefore keeping his promise to them.

He'd never planned to recognize Whitney, that was why he has never visited for days.

He only felt that his obligations to the Cole couple has been fulfilled and there is no need in staying in each other's space, but Whitney kept sending out word through the servants wishing to meet her savior which Aiden yielded to after so many months.

Time passed so quickly that it was already half two months since Whitney arrived at the Island villa.

However, he came to the island villa last night and was in the study room with his beta Lincoln. Whitney excitedly made tea for the two and headed to the study room.

'Finally, the goddess heard my prayers'. With a smile on her face, she made it to the front door.

Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks when she heard Aiden Lewis say the unbelievable.

"I'm grateful that I was taken in and saved by those couples, it's too bad that they had to die just for meddling in my business," Aiden said casually with no emotion.

"What are your plans for the girl? She has been asking about you since she recovered, is she your mate?" Lincoln Grey inquired.

Aiden let out a deep breath and said, "It doesn't matter if she is my mate, she has to die else she will have a bad ending" Whitney's eyes widened like the shape of a saucer as her hands which were holding on to the trays started trembling.

The people in the study heard the noise and stopped talking, the door was opened in an instant and there stood Whitney Cole with her head lowered.

"Whitney, you're here. When did you arrive?" Lincoln asked with extreme shock.

Whitney took in a deep breath, "Just now, I was going to knock when the door was unlocked. I made some tea" she said naturally trying not to instill suspicions into Lincoln or the alpha.

However they were supernatural beings who had lived for decades, Aiden being a purebred had many special qualities already knew she was afraid as he could feel her heartbeat unstable and he could perceive the scent of fear hovering around Whitney.

"You can give it to me, the alpha king will call you when he wants to speak" She nodded, turned, and left hurriedly.

Lincoln watched till her silhouette disappeared and shrugged before walking back into the study room.

"She's is scared, I think she heard us" Aiden asserted while twirling a black pen on the table.

Lincoln sighed and placed the tray he was holding on the table, "She made tea for us, are you sure there is no other way to keep her safe here in the Lycan castle?"

"There is no other way, she would get hurt if she gets involved with me, look at what happened to her parents. I have no courage to face her, that's why I have not spoken to her" Lincoln nodded his head while thinking of what Aiden said.

Whitney slammed the door of her room and sat down on the bed, panting heavily and gnashing her teeth.

She took out something from her pants and looked down at it, "I thought I was given a second chance and that I have finally gotten a caring mate, however, it seems like your father wants to kill me after causing the death of my parents" Whitney asserted while gazing at the two lines in the pregnancy test strips.

She had been having some aversions and cravings, which made her recall that she has not seen her period for the month.

She had bought the pregnancy test strip from a store this morning when she offered to go to the market with the chef.

"Come on Evelyn, I'm bored and do nothing all day long. I can make a trip to the market with you" she had said multiple times, Chef Evelyn could only give in to the poor woman who was bored and might lose her mind because of loneliness in the big villa.

She was excited when she discovered that she was pregnant with her new mate's child, and wanted to discuss it with him but things turned out this way.

Whitney was afraid that the lycan king would kill her and the baby instantly if he finds out about them, she recalls the ruthlessness in Aiden's voice, and that gives her chills.
