Chapter 4 PET II

MORGANA'S POV

I did it. I'm up before the Alpha. Well, not really. I know he's not really asleep. He's a werewolf, plus he's the alpha. Their senses are more advanced and he's the alpha so I'm guessing he wouldn't just let himself be vulnerable by falling into a deep sleep. Werewolves only need a couple of hours of sleep every now and then which is enough for them to function properly.

He's testing me.

There's something so annoying about having bruises and wounds all over your body. When you sleep on them, you suddenly wake up the next morning with them feeling even more painful than they originally were.

I flinch and squeeze my eyes shut as I make an attempt to stretch my bones.

'That was the best sleep I've had in a long time' I think to myself.

I make my way towards my cage door and push it open so I can start preparing the Alpha's clothes and fetch his breakfast. What the hell does he even eat?

I blink and in a second the gigantic man is standing in front of me. H-How? He was in bed literally just a second ago.

'Werewolf speed' I think to myself.

My heart beats faster as I feel the warmth emanating off his body in the dark room. He's trying to kill me by giving me a heart attack. At this point, I think he's just bored and having fun with me.

"You're up before the morning bells." He states the obvious.

"Good morning Alpha." I state falling to my knees as I bow in front of him.

"You learn fast. Good." He says walking back towards his bed.

"Chicken, bread and wine. That's what I want to have for breakfast today, in case you were wondering." He glances over to where I'm standing. "It's my favorite. One of the guards outside will lead you to the kitchens in case you can't find your way. Prepare my clothes before you leave to fetch my food. When you're back, take a bath and change your clothes into one of the stuff you have in your wardrobe. Throw away that unpleasant garbage you're wearing."

He explains as he escapes into his bathroom to take a bath. I rise to my feet flexing my back muscles. I seriously need to get over this pain.

A guard escorts me to the kitchen where there are many women in aprons stirring stews left and right. I've never seen so much food.

With all this food, you would think they would at least feed the slaves properly instead of that horrid abomination the slave master used to make us eat. As I remember the horrible taste of the poison the slave master gave us, I can't help but get angry. Anger is the only emotion I've felt in a long time. It's what drives me, it's what gives me hope. It is that anger that will get me out of here and it is that same anger that will help me kill them all.

I don't even have to present myself to the cooks as I walk into the kitchen. They recognize me by my collar.

"What would the alpha like today, pet!" An elderly woman asks me.

"Chicken, bread and wine Ma'am." I reply simply.

The alpha sits on his table all dressed as I walk in with his meal. The smell from the dish making me salivate. I place the dish on his table on take off the lid.

"What took you so long Morgana?" He asks as if the answer wasn't obvious. As if he can't tell I'm still having a bit of trouble walking due to my wounds. Is he dumb?

"I apologize alpha."

He sends me off to take a bath before he starts eating.

'What about me? When do I get food around here?' I think to myself as I make my way to the bathroom.

When I get out of the bathroom all dressed, I walk towards my cage to find a plate of food next to my bed. A chicken wing, a small piece of bread and some water. Not even slightly enough to get rid of my hunger but it's something.

"Next time don't make me have to call one of my guards to bring you food. When you go to the kitchens to fetch my food, ensure to get yours too." He says as he walks towards me.

"I've been very lenient with you, Morgana. I don't like telling people how to do their job. Don't make me explain myself again. Use your head. Do you understand?"

"I understand Alpha." I say keeping my head bowed as he exits the room. I have my breakfast and apply the ointment the old nurse gave me for my wounds.

I make his bed and clean his not so dirty room as I await his arrival. I wonder why he doesn't eat breakfast with the rest of his family.

When I'm done with his room, I take the dirty plates back to the kitchen.

"That's his new pet. Another human." A female in the kitchen says out loud making sure I hear her.

"Not for long. She'll just end up like the rest of them." Another woman says making the others in the kitchen laugh as I drop the plates on the table.

'Go on werewolves. Keep taunting me. Keep making me angry. Keep adding names to my list of victims.' I think to myself as they keep making comments.

They laugh at the way I struggle to walk, they continue making fun of me as I leave the room. I hear their laughter echo as I climb the stairs heading back to the alpha's room.

As I make my way to the second floor, another pet runs past me upstairs. Her left hand hiding something under her clothes. She stole.

'I hope you don't get caught.' I think. She looked puny and wounded all over. I wonder whose pet she is. She had a fancy collar like mine. Probably the Beta's or Gamma's.

If she gets caught, she'll be gravely punished. Even though it's not her fault they aren't feeding her properly.

'I'll get you out of here. I'll get us all out.' I mutter to myself as I make my way up the stairs and back to the alpha's room.
