Chapter 4 THE VISIT

"MUM!" Ava snapped at her mum while she was trying to choose the perfect earrings for her date with Jayden

"What? Do you want to walk in there looking hideous" She said while Ava rolled her eyes and picked up long gold earrings

"I guess that's okay too" her mum said with a slight shrug

"Yeah well, I can't mess this up. At least we can finally be seen in the pack" Ava said brushing her hair tip and turned to her mum "Kayla should not even spoil this for us" she said while her mum gulped

"Well baby, you need to come down stairs just in case he comes around so we don't keep him waiting" Her mum said as she turned to go

"I'm behind you mum" she said briefly as she turned back to the mirror and let out a loud sigh

Damon turned to go but seeing her lying helplessly on the floor, he couldn't just help it. That wasn't him at all; he doesn't give a damn about anybody and certainly not some scentless Omega he was cursed with.

He turned to and got to his car but he suddenly realized that he had no reason to be in the parking lot that night. He was led there.

He shrugged off the feeling, adjusted his mask and got into his car. He turned on the Ignition but his Wolf couldn't just stop whining about him going back to get her. He turned off his car and alighted.

He walked back to where she lay and carried her bag; He got her phone out and used her thumb to open it then scrolled through her contact list. He saw that she frequently contacted Reece and Phoebe. He was a bit jealous to call Reece so he decided to call Phoebe

It rang twice and was directed to voicemail. He groaned and decided to call Reece. Almost immediately, he picked up

"Hey Munchkin, were you able to-"

"Reece right?" Damon deep voice echoed through the walls of Reece's phone that he had to check if it was the right number that called him, it was Kayla's' actually

"Y-Yeah, Reece. And you are?" he asked a little bit intimidated by his masculine aura and was alrealdy wondering what trouble Kayla had gotten herself into

"Where is Kayla's house?" he asked firmly

"For starters, who the hell are you! Secondly, where the hell is Kay. Is she okay? And how come a total stranger has her phone." He said and suddenly gasped ´"oh my goodness! Has she been kidnapped or has her evil twin planned something horrendous for her? Oh my! I knew she was up to no good and-"

"Reece! Kayla is safe and yes she might be in danger, I need her address and-"

"Where are you, I'm coming there right now and don't move just sit tight."

"Reece, listen to me carefully so I won't chop your head off. So right now, I need you to tell me exactly where Kayla's house is or I swear I'll kill you with my bare hands.

"Mum, He's here" Ava said excitedly as Jayden's honk was heard

As she approached the door to go out, she met him at the doorway already, with a bottle of champagne.

"Hi babe," he said as she kissed him still confused

"I thought we were having dinner out" she asked still confused

"Aren't you going to welcome me into your house?" he asked

"I'm so sorry, come on in." he came in and met Ava's parents beyond surprised to see him

Her mum gasped as she saw him

"Oh my! I thought you were both going out" Her mum said as she carried pan of pumpkin pie to the dining table

"Hold on, I'll call her dad down" her mum said as she walked up the stairs

"Umm babe?" she turned to him while she clunked to her purse like it was the only thing that made sense

"Babe, I know I said we were going out but c'mon, we're mated to each other and I come her every morning to take you to school and I still haven't met your parents?" he said as she still looked at him with sad eyes

"C'mon babe, I really dressed up for this date and-"

"And you look so gorgeous but babe, were you planning on introducing your parents to me during poaching? Please at least just accept the champagne, it cost a fortune." He said as she finally smiled

"I'll get the cups for these" she said and walked into the kitchen to see a roasted turkey; her mood lighted up immediately and she carried it out to the dinning to see they were all seated

"Oh! Thanks baby" her mum said while she sat down

"You have such a great family Ava, you're the only child?"

"Actually, Ava is a twin" Her dad replied while he cut a piece from the turkey, Ava shot him a death glare in return

"Really babe? You never really mentioned her to me" he said as he placed his arm around her neck "Why is that babe?"

"She-"

"She's barely home! She's barely even around. Haha. You know." Her mum said covering up

"Ohh, so I take it that you both don't have a close relationship?"

"Uhh, no we don't. "She said with a face of disgust

"Ahh, okay. I hope she will be available for pack poaching by full moon"

"I don't really know about that cause-"

"I'm sure she wouldn't miss the poaching right?" He asked again

"Of course she'll be there?" Ava said while her mum dropped her fork down on her plate and cleared her throat

"Are you alright ma'am?"

"Oh please! Just call me Emily and I just need a little water" she said sipping from the glass of water in front of her while her dad held Emily's hands

"Alright" he said and drank some water too but he saw a reflection of light towards the window and he picked a very familiar strong scent which made him choke on his water

"Are you okay Jayden?" Max asked him and he nodded. Apparently, he was the only one that caught the scent. The Alpha's scent.

"Alpha!" he said a little bit high while they all turned to him
