Chapter 4 Going home late

"Ah, nothing, Prof. I just had a yacky that's why." I pointed to the empty yacky container but that's just my alibi to avoid another sermon.

Our new classmate stood up, ready to introduce himself. But it didn't happen because one of our classmates in the front spoke up.

"Hey! Can you please take off your hoodie, so we can see your face?" Oh right why didn't I think of that? Now I realize that he's hiding his face from us.

"I'm sorry." He said then removed his hoodie covering his face. After that all my classmates were cheering and yelling as if they were swooning will who wouldn't be charmed by the guy standing in front of all of us? My gosh! He's really handsome maybe even more handsome than Max. But I love Max despite his attitude towards me. Okay back to our new classmate; he's introducing himself to us now.

"By the way, I'm Austin Valley. Nice to meet you all." After introducing himself, the bell rang. It's lunchtime and it's evident that I'm not hungry, right?

"Go home early because we need to talk!" A message from Max. It seems he's not angry again, right? But how will I go home early without a car? Tristan didn't say anything earlier he even dropped me off at school. Sigh! I guess I'll just take public transportation.

"He's so handsome." My classmates are still shouting and whispering here outside.

"Girl, I hope he doesn't have a girlfriend."

"I hope he'll court me friend!"

"As if he'll court you!" I heard one of our classmates Monica, say to Montana, making her glare at Monica.

"Sigh! You're very supportive as a friend, Monica." Montana said sarcastically to Monica, but Monica just threw her a look saying that she doesn't care.

"Come on, let's go to the canteen because I've been hungry since earlier. And don't expect that an Austin Valley will be interested in any of you." Belle said loudly leading the way to the canteen.

"Belle is right!" Kassandra added still annoyed with Montana.

"Sigh! You're really good friends! You're so supportive." Montana said irritably to Kassandra, then went inside. I just laughed at the four of them. Let's just laugh for now because I'm sure I'll cry when I get home later.

Austin's pov...

It's still the same here almost nothing has changed. I didn't want to come back here, but my mom and dad insisted. I didn't do anything back in the states except have fun every night with my friends.

So, I neglected my studies and that's why my mom and dad decided to bring me back to the Philippines. I didn't want to but they threatened me that I would be grounded for a year. I wouldn't be allowed to go out of the house, and they would also take my cars and cards. I love racing, so I just agreed to their offer of coming back here.

"Manang, what time will Kath be home later?" I asked Manang while sitting on the sofa arranging the documents I need to give to Dad.

"I don't know, Sir Max. Why are you asking?" Manang asked while preparing our dinner.

"Just curious, Manang. I'll finish these documents in my room, I need to give them to Dad." Manang nodded immediately and continued with her tasks.

Kira's pov...

Max didn't go to the office today and he didn't call or send me a message. Maybe I'll just call him later when I get home.

I'm not allowed to go to their house when Kath is not with me. You know that foolish girl is clueless about everything well she's foolish right? Can you tell me if there's a fool who knows right? There isn't. Poor Kathlia.

''Okay Class Dismissed! But make sure not to be absent from tomorrow's class because our Dean has announcements to make.'' Our professor said before leaving our classroom and others followed suit.

Kathlia's pov...

I've been waiting here for a ride, but none are passing by. Everyone in this school has their own cars. I'm hesitant to call Tristan, I might inconvenience him. Max would probably understand if I come home late right? FYI, I've been waiting for almost an hour now I remember I left my phone in my room. Well I'll just have to be patient there might be a taxi passing by. Fingers crossed.

''Manang, is Kath still not here?''

''Not yet, Sir.''

''Where could that girl have gone now?''

''I don't know sir Max. Maybe she got stuck in traffic that's probably why she's not here yet.''

''Okay please inform me when Kathlia arrives home.''

After saying that to Manang, I went back to my room.

I dialed her old number saved on my phone, but it kept ringing, and she didn't answer. So I threw the phone on the floor. That girl is really testing my patience.

Tristan's pov...

I went to Kath's school to give her a ride home, but the guard said the students left a while ago. She's not answering my calls either. Then Ziggy texted me not Kathlia. He told me to go to his condo, so I quickly drove there. I don't know if Max is there too.

I hope a vehicle passes by soon, I've been waiting here for a while.

''Hello, Dad.''

''What did he say to you, Noah? Is he coming home?''

''Yes, he's on his way home now so you better stop worrying about our son.''

''Thank God. Now I can finally calm down.''

''Let's go to the kitchen and cook some food for Austin he's probably hungry.'' I said to my wife Shane, asking her to join me.

''Okay Noah, let's go.''

''Where are you, son?''

''I'm on my way home dad. Why?''

''Your mom is worried about you.''

''Tell Mom that I love her dad, and I'm on my way home.''

''Okay son take care.''

''Thanks dad, I will.''

''Bye, Son.''

''Goodbye, Dad.'' After I talked to Dad, I informed the school guard that I'm going home and took the gift Dad left for Mom in her office.
