Chapter 2

Adelie POV

I stare at my reflection in the mirror and my lips curve into a smirk. I'm almost ready for the date with Mr. Raymond tonight. I know he didn't ask me out on a date directly, but what do you call watching a movie with your crush?

"Perfect," I mumble after I apply lipgloss to my lips.

The sound of my ringing phone pulls my attention, and I reach out for it from the dressing table. It's Mr. Raymond calling.

"Hey, Mr. Raymond," I say on the phone as soon as I answer the call.

"I'm waiting for you outside, Adelie," His voice sounds through the phone, forcing me to look at the wall clock. It's already 8:30pm. Gosh! I never knew I'm so late.

"Alright. I'll be with you in five minutes," I say to him and quickly end the call.

I quickly reach out for my bag that's on the bed, and advance toward the door. Since it's just movie we're going to watch together, I see no reason why I should dress so much, so I'm just wearing a white long sleeve shirt, and a long pink trouser with a pair of white sneakers on my feet. My hair packed in a ponytail, with just a light make-up on my face.

Pulling the door open, I almost jump out of my skin as Asher welcomes me. He's standing at my doorstep while leaning on the door frame with his hands crossed on his chest. What's he doing here? For how long has he been standing here?

"As... Asher?" I stutter as I run my eyes through his body confusingly.

"Where are you going this late? You look gorgeous," He bites his bottom lip as he stares at me from my head to my toe with a lustful look on.

"Stop looking at me like that... I'm going to the movies with my boss," I shrug, and he scoffs.

"Get back in there, Adelie. You're going nowhere," He says in a domineering voice, and I pull a puzzled look. What the hell is he talking about right now?

"Why?" I ask him.

"Because I don't want you to go," He shrugs like what he said meant nothing to him. What the hell am I even saying? It is not a big deal to him.

"I'm running late, Asher... Can you leave the way? He's waiting for me outside," I plead with him. This is not happening again, please.

"I told you to go back inside your room because I won't let you out of this house to go out with any man..."

"Why? What fucking right do you have to tell me that? Why the hell are you doing this, Asher? For fuck's sake, I am an adult. Why are you doing this?" I yell at him angrily, because this is getting me frustrated. I have always been silent all these while, but there's no way I'll ever be like that again. It's high time I speak up and stop all these bullshits he's doing.

"Come here," He says in muffled breath as he grabs my hand and pull me into my room, slamming the door behind us afterward. He slams me hard against the wall, trapping me in between his arms as he stares at me with those sexy eyes, melting my heart. I hate to feel like this around him, I hate that his eyes has the strong spell I can't seem to break lose from.

"For how long will it take you to accept this, Adelie?" He nuzzle his face in my neck and fan me with his warm breath, and my breath hitches momentarily as my heart beats rapidly against my chest. My legs wobble on the floor, and I feel my knees getting weaker.

"You're mine, Adelie... You're mine forever," He hushes against my neck as he bites my nape, and I gulp down nothing.

"Th... This is wrong, Asher... This is..." My resistance foolishly come out in a moan and I gasp sharply when I feel his hand crawling beneath my short, until his warm big palm cups one of my boobs, and I shudder as I bite my bottom lip.

"You can't see another man... You can't have a boyfriend, Adelie... I won't allow that," He further hushes, trailing kisses down my neck, and suddenly claim my lips, kissing me slowly but I can feel the intense invisible fire burning around us. The way he touches me makes me feel so abominably good.

"No man is allowed to touch you except me, Adelie," He hushes against my lips, and bites it afterward as his hand squeezes my boob, and I gulp down the sudden lump that formed in my dry throat.

"This is wrong, Adelie. What the hell are you doing? Do you realize he's your brother? You're birthed by the same mother and father. How can you be so cheap?" My subconscious mind yells at me, bringing me back to my sense.

"Get away from me, Asher!" I finally summon up courage and push him away from me, and he staggers back.

"You're my brother, Asher. My blood brother... Why are you trying to ruin my life?" I yell at him as a drop of tears slid down the corner of my cheek, and he only clean the lipgloss stain on his lips.

"That was so intense, and I must confess that you have improved. I hope no man has tried to kiss you before? If anyone dares to, I won't spare them," He says like my pain means nothing to him.

"Do you ever love me as a sister?" I ask as more tears stream down my cheeks, and he shrugs.

"As a sister? Do I see you as one? No! To me, you're the woman I'm in love with... The woman I want to spend the rest of my life with... The woman I..."

"Do you still remember that..."

"You're my sister? Yes, I know that. Since I don't see you as one, but as a lover, then there's nothing wrong with us being together," He cuts me off and tries to touch me, but I send a hot slap across his cheek, and he holds his cheek that now has prints of my fingers on it.

"Does that make you feel better, huh?" He huffs and bites his bottom lip as he stares at me intently as if he can see through my soul.

"Asher..." I stop as my phone suddenly starts ringing in my handbag, and even though I haven't checked who the caller is, I need no one to tell me that it's Mr. Raymond. I gulp down nothing as I search my bag fervently for the phone until I find it in there. I pick up the phone, about to answer the call when Asher suddenly snatches it away from me.

"Give that back to me, Asher..."

"Hey, Raymond... Sorry, Adelie can't hang out with you tonight. She's spending time with her boyfriend," My mouth drop open in shock as I watch him say to Raymond on the phone.

"Bye," He disconnects the call and hands the phone back to me.

"How about we spend some time together tonight, huh?" The corner of his lip slowly twitches into a smirk as he starts unbuttoning the buttons of his shirt, and my heart sinks into my stomach. What the hell is he about to do?
