Chapter 6 Ch 6; The failed escape

Elisabeth's POV "Christy! Come stay next to me " I had no idea what was happening but I knew it was better to have her staying glued to me. The older woman listened and quickly moved to action, then I turned my attention to Luke " What is happening? When do we start having any securities working this late at night? " He didn't as much as turn his face to look at me where I was standing beside him *what could this mean ?* I thought to myself, the ones in front of us were not saying anything, they just kept the flashlights glued to our face and they were already upon us.

I was getting afraid, afraid for me, afraid for the innocent woman that I had agreed to bring on this 'running off' with me, we would be dragged back there, they would even fast track our time over there, or even add to us a greater punishment, that's how things like that work. I had not expected anyone to be working that night at all. And Luke of all people should have made the arrangements and the inspection. They grabbed her away from my side and pushed her to face the floor " Don't you lay your hands on that woman, she has nothing to do with me, I forced her to come with me, she had no choice " I said loudly, but my pleas didn't seem to mean anything, they were not even willing to listen, instead, they plunged at me, forcing me to drop everything that I was holding, they started to check me for anything that they thought I might have been hiding, Until they found my money in the pouch that I had kept it. " Oh no! Not the money please " I pleaded, that money was the only thing I can say with my chest that was rightfully mine and would be there for me when I want anything. Christy was saying something to me, but I could not make out those words, I looked at the person holding her down, and I recognized of all of them, it was the one that had accompanied Luke to drag me to the white room. "What do you think you are doing? How dare you treat me this way! I am still your Luna until it says otherwise! How dare you. Bring me to Adrian, he will tell you to let me go, I promise you " I didn't want to stoop so low but that was the only card I could use. But even with that, nobody was listening to me. The lights from the flashlights were still pointed at our faces, I could not even see what was happening directly in front of me, or even look at my sides with ease, but I sensed him . . . "No Lisa, you are not in any way the Luna of this pack anymore. Not now, not tomorrow, not any other day " ADRIAN! What was he doing here? I thought to myself, trying to figure out where his voice was coming from. "It looks like you were really going to run away, just as I have been told " His voice not holding any emotion, and the flashlight directly on my eyes was removed, as I tried to get my eyes to function properly and get used to the change. The look in his eyes saddened me, and at the same time, it annoyed me so much, I was not seeing any emotions from them at all, I would not say I was not expecting that reaction but he is also the only one that knew me so deeply amongst them there. "Adrian This not what you think it is . . . " I started to say, then I remember Christy once again " Adrian look, this woman was not with me on this, I forced her to come with me, there is no need to hold her responsible for this madness, let her go and take me, She was only doing my bidding, she had no choice, you know how I can be when I want to be really persuasive, and as you can see, she is just an old woman, she has no defense" As I said those words, I prayed that Christy would not find any offense from how I described her, I know she didn't like to be called 'old' but that was the only defense I had. "Listen to me Lisa, you are making it difficult for me to help you at all, you are not listening to me, and I am only trying to help you, why the heck won't you listen?" He said eyes glaring at me. What does he mean by that? I thought to myself, why does he keep saying he was helping me, for as far as I know he has not tried to help me one bit, from the beginning of the problem and his cheat to the end they were in now, he has never helped me, Damn! He has not even bothered to apologize, but there he was saying he was helping me " Damn you, Adrian, damn you! " I said without even realizing it, He was treating me more badly because he was not even acknowledging his wrong. " How dare you come to my face and tell me you were helping me, how dare you !? When it is your new bitch you have been protecting all this while? " "Don't you call her a bitch! She is the mother to the heir of this pack " He warned, his eyes still glaring at me as if he was going to penetrate my heart and burn it up. How can he even defend her in this situation . . . " It is me who has been wronged by you and Linda, but you still stand her in front of me to defend her, how pathetic can you be Adrian " "Lisa ! stop acting like the victim, nobody did this to you, you did this to yourself. You caused all that has happened to you in the past, you caused them all, so instead of you finding someone else to blame for this, blame yourself " That was it! There was no reason in the world to make me keep on talking back and forth with him, he would never learn, and he would never listen, so instead of replying to him like he would want me to, I just kept quiet. I glanced at Christy, they have released their hold on her now, but she was looking at me with tears in her eyes. Was she hurting? I didn't know what to do, and it was not like I could ask him to do anything for me and he would gladly accept, he had proved himself to be a son of a bitch, and there won't be a need for him to pretend to me again. But I asked anyway " Please leave her alone, she won't run away now, release the grip on her completely . . .she is hurting" Saying to no one in particular. But there she was just there shaking her head from side to side and mouthing the word " I am okay, worry about you " That's when I realized the tears in her eyes were not for herself, but for me, that must be why she has the mixture of sadness and pity in her eyes. She was pitying me. "I am totally fine " I mouthed the words back to her. "Take them, and put them in a separate room! Tomorrow morning, they should be on their way to the Lycan King. Send them off " "Wait, Adrian! Just wait. . . " I wanted to just say something, but nothing was coming out of my mouth, there was nothing that I wanted to say that I have not already said to him, but he had not listened to any of it, he had been completely deaf to all my pleas. But I tried again "Adrian, you know how I have hated the Lycan King, you know this more than anyone. You know my fears more than anyone, please don't banish me there " "And I also know how much you hate the cave dungeons and the darkness within them. I personally think this is the best option of the two " He stated Is he saying he is sending me to the Lycan King for me because he thinks that is a better option for me? who does he think he is to make such a decision? " If you are saying this is for me, then does this mean I have a say? Does this mean I can actually choose? " I asked, hoping. "No Lisa, you cannot choose, you are going to the Lycan King tomorrow, you and your lady friend here " That was the first time he acknowledged Christy, but that one time was important to me, so I just didn't say anything. There was no use now, his mind has been made. "Okay," I said, surrendering. "Take her," He said finally this time. They didn't even hesitate as they dragged us away, but it seems now they allowed me and Christy to walk on our own two feet. But something else was in my mind, The Lycan King.
