CHAPTER 4: KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR.

Ray had the volume of the music that Nickie had turned on to cancel out the sounds of pleasurable moans that would come forth from them turned low. "No, leave the music on." Nickie opposed increasing the volume back.

"Something's not right. I need to hear, or maybe even see what the matter is." Ray said, making Nickie grumble as she was already so turned on and needed to satisfy her cravings.

"If it's nothing, I swear to you that I'll make it up to you. I'll take you home, to my house." Ray said kissing her to appease her. "If it's dangerous, shouldn't you be calling the cops instead?" Nickie was concerned.

"By the time they get here, it might be too late, if nothing is done now. But go ahead and call them." Ray said.

Ray stepped out of the car and quickly but stealthily followed in the direction of the shady moment. I recalled he had seen a lady in the grasp of two of the four males that went to that corner.

As Ray approached, he heard muffled sounds coming from there. He could tell it was the voice of most likely the lady they dragged. He stood behind a car parked close to their location, and observed to see a d access the threat level, before trying to intervene.

Ray saw that they must have been college students, and it appeared to seem they didn't have any weapons on them. Ray saw that they had the lady pinned down with her face to the ground, and one of the assailants was trying to take off his pants hurriedly.

Ray knew then that they wanted to rape the lady they had pinned down. "Shut the fuck up. You slut. I told you, 'You would pay', didn't I?" The one standing above the lady said with a tone of anger.

Ray quickly rush at the assailant standing, and with a jab at his lower neck, the assailant was knocked out. The rest were brisk to get up. One of them rushed at Ray. That was definitely a wrong move to have pulled on a seasoned ex marine as Ray.

He threw a strong punch at Ray, but Ray ducked. With speed accuracy, Ray did a clean sweep with his legs knocking the second assailant to the ground, as he knocked the back of his head to the floor, causing him to be disoriented.

The third managed to grab Ray from behind in an attempt to take him down in a choke hold. But Ray was too strong for him to hold that grip. Ray freed himself without much stress. Grabbing his right arm, Ray flipped him across from behind, knocking him to the ground.

Ray gave a taste of his own medicine, locking him in a choke hold. He struggled, trying to break free, but his efforts were futile. He gasped for breath as his eyes turned red.

The fourth assailant seeing all this, fled the scene. But he didn't get far before the cops caught him at gun poiy, since they had just arrived the scene. Nickie had actually called the cups as Ray asked.

"Sir, please release the young man and step away from him." A cop instructed Ray on reaching the scene. "Alright officer." Ray released him as he fell to the ground gasping for air.

The cops didn't even care if he had fully recovered, he was handcuffed. All the three assailants that Ray had taken down were all arrested.

Ray looked around and saw the girl who was about to be raped, all shaken up by the trauma and ordeal. He walked over to her and asked, "Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Ray asked. She nodded frantically. She then fell in his arms, hugging him tightly.

Just then Nickie showed up. "Are you alright?" She asked, worriedly. But within her, she fumed. She was jealous that someone else was in Ray's hands, but she could do nothing about it.

A police officer walked over to where Ray and the lady he saved stood. "Sir, I need to ask you a couple of questions." The officer requested. "Sure." Ray replied.

"Okay. So, narrate to me what happened." The officer requested. "Well, I was in a car with the lady who called you." Ray pointed at Nickie. "I saw a couple of folks dragging her quickly to this location, and I knew something bad was up." Ray continued.

"So, I did what every normal person would do in such a situation. I helped." Ray concluded. "I see. Can I see some ID?" The officer requested. Ray reached into his pocket and brought out his wallet, and handed his ID to the police officer.

The officer looked at the ID, and looked at Ray. "No normal person would do what you did, because you're no normal person, sir." The officer said. "It's an honor to meet you in person sir." The police officer offered Ray a handshake.

"What you did, standing up for what's right against your superiors, is admirable. A lot of us in the force were motivated." The police officer appreciated. The officer then asked the yet to be known lady to recount what happened.

The yet to be known lady looked at Ray. Was she somehow hoping to get some assurance of security from Ray? Well, she sighed, pulled herself together, and narrated everything. All the details that led to that moment was detailedly narrated.

"That was really brave of you." The officer praised the young lady. Nickie stood wishing she could be away from there now, in Ray's firm grip. Ray could notice the uneasiness she exhibited, but his inherent instinct as a military personnel wouldn't let him leave the lady he saved, until he knew she was absolutely safe.

"Can I see your ID as well ma'am?" The officer requested of the yet to be known lady. The officer looked at the ID, and his eyes widened. Ray wondered what the matter was, as he arched a brow at the police officer.
